Academic Project CENTRAL LIBRARY 2ND Year Spring, 2019 Brief The main focus of the studio was to work according to column grid and design should be apropriate that it gives a mixed use of different enviroment. To build a Library that provides a central learning and social space, as well as an informaaon and technology services hub for the whole student community. It needs to offer an environment that is different to the classroom.
TO PROVIDE PROPER ENVIROMENT WITHOUT USING MUCH MECHANICLE FACILITIES. A READER MUST CONNECT TO NATURE ON SITE THOROUGH OPENINGS PROVIDED IN BUILDING. GIVING THEM MORE NATURAL VENTILATION AND LIGHTING.
HUGE COURTYARD IS PROVIDED FOR NATURAL LIGHTNING
OPENING PROVIDED FOR VENTILATION ALSO PROVIDES LIGHTING

Entry 1 (ANDC 2018) “REMINISCING THE PAST”
THE
CITY OF JAIPUR WAS SPLITED INTO 9 BLOCKS, TWO OF THAT INCLUDES THE STATE BUILDING AND PALACES. THE REMAINING 7 PARTS ARE ALLOTED TO THE COMMUNITY
THE WALKWAYS OF THE PARKOTA MARKET ARE BETWIXT THE SHOPS AND THE MAIN ROAD. IT CONVEYS THE TRANSITION BETWEEN OPEN
AND CLOSE ENVIRONMENT ON ITS EITHER SIDES DUE TO THE HEAVY VEHICULAR MOVEMENT AND REGULAR CHAOS, THESE SPACES ARE UNAPPRECIATED AND MISUSED. LACK OF PARKING SPACES, HAWKER ENCROACHMENT AND LITTERING HAVE BECOME MAJOR CONCERNS AT THE SITE, THEREBY MAKING IT THANKLESS. THESE DRAWBACKS HAVE DEPRECIATED THE ESSENCE OF THE SITE, PROVING IT TO BE
JJJJJJ
A space is not just dimensions of height, depth and width within which all things exist and move, rather it is a mull-dimensional combinaaon and interaccon of input variables, such as material attributes, and process parameters that have been demonstrated to provide assurance of quality. The design programme intends to delve into, recognize, and re-discover the liminal spaces in the respeccve context in order to educate the society.
RAM LILA MAIDAN RAM NIWAS BAGH PARKING LOT
The shaded steps serve as a siing space that concentrate on the screens installed for quick adver-sing and live telecasts. The steps are designed in such a manner that it provides transiion from the street to the siings.
There are places where boundaries dissolve a liile and we stand there, on the threshold geeng ourselves ready to learn the context of the unique architecture across the limits. A transiion can be in between the following: Nature and Buildings Open and Closed Dark and Light
“Music is the space between the notes.
This space can be a bridge, foyer, hallway, stairs, sidewalks or the streets.

Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, India, sets the perfect example of melessness and culture owing to its parkotas, chaupars, bazars that are accve even today. Originally, the parkota bazar was designed to promote the pedestrian movement on the roads with shops aligned on either sides. But the whole concept has been altered over the years due to perpetual vehicular movement leading to noise, traďŹƒc jams, polluuon, etc. To regain the essence of the pedestrian walkways, in consultaaon with the residents and the shopkeepers, we propose to rearrange and accvate the parking lots of Ram Niwas Bagh, Ramlila Maidan, Chandpole Metro Sta-on and Aaash Market. According to Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) theory, i.e. minimising the private transport and maximising the public transport, we propose a ‘Tram Train’ which will facilitate tourists and ciizens to get a ride through the vibrant pink heritage. Once these issued are resolved, special design elements are introduced that aim to bring back the spirit of the streets. With our proposal we hope to unite future with the past, imbibing the crux of yesterday to build a sustainable tomorrow.
