01 Historical inspiration
02 One uniform surface
03 New city furniture
by water elements
instead of cars
The main purpose of the draft is to analyse the public spaces in the centre of the town, to find out their historical connection, qualities and disadvantages. The result is the whole cultivation of the centre into the character of environment public space. Individual places are given to their original character and use, or we determine them to a new contentand meaning.Intervention supports different character and specific experience of these places and highlights their quality without any space ceased to be unified aggregate. The priority of the draft was the creation of places and spaces primary for pedestrians not for cars as it is in present. Road traffic becomes just a secondary component of the space, it is used for necessary services and supplement. The draft comes out of the inspiration from the Middle Ages, system of fountains and water elements. The whole area is connected by the scheme of new water elements, which support the specific character of the each places. They use the view of axis to the connection of spaces so the high and historical dominants are accented. The unifaction element of the town core is an uniform surface and material of pavement, consisted of linear strips, formed by granite cobble stones. Granite strips are covered by a typical local material – white limestone blocks. The result is one uniform surface which goes through the core of the town. Mikulov in 1826

TYPOLOGY
This project addresses the lack of social venues for members of the local community, young and old. By improving the efficiency of Eternit’s manufacturing and distribution operations, several buildings have been opened to new uses for the benefit not only Eternit’s employees, but also the wider community.
The main entrance into the community centre is in the form of semiopen courtyard. This courtyard is unifying element of the two parts of this building. The restaurant, variable workshop and meeting rooms and the library are accessible from the main vestibule. The community centre’s multipurpose hall uses a system of movable walls in order to allow multiple simultaneous uses and spatial variability. These also allow the stage to be used open-air. The new scheme of the youth center has as its centre a skate park. A youth room and large storage facilities adjoin the skate park. The day-care centre offers a program for parents working full-time and is facing an outdoor playground.
URBANISTIC STRATEGY The new community centre and youth centre are located between Niederurnen und Oberurnen, in Switzerland. Both towns benefit from the excellent public and road transport networks, developed in tandem with the Eternit company’s own growth. The circuitous vehicular flow within the factory has been rationalised to divert trucks away from the adjacent train station. This area is a part of a new attractive landscape complex and is a car-free zone. The new landscape concept composes trees, public squares, fountains and street furniture along what will be the main public promenade between residential areas and the train station.

CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS Structurally the building uses the existing steel frame, adequately insulated. The facade is clad in wavy cement composite panels, some of which are perforated. This perforation supports the dissolution of boundaries between private and public.

The building consists of two main parts with different heights. The sports hall is also integrated to the object with height separation from main parts. The object was sensibly incorporated to adjacent buildings. This layout clearly defines three main spaces between the parts of building. There is public piazzetta located in front of the Radost theater which supports its cultural significance. Between the two main parts there is semipublic open space which includes children playground. Semiprivate space is situated on the north side of the object and offers rentable gardens. The building was designed with consistency with a sustainable development. Site

The important intention was to preserve the hierarchy of the space to reach a maximum connection and a contact between the individual generations, but also to retain the privacy for each of them. Accordingly, a consideration of the simplicity of the form and a creation of disposition monitoring a full barrier-free life of the seniors. One of the basic principle influencing that design is the passive using of the solar energy. Glass fields and location of the house on the land enable maximum optical connection of the interier with the surroundings. The principle of the thermal zoning was used at the design of the exterior. The actual heating is resolved by the heat pump. The support constructions of the above-ground parts are made of bricks. Object is roofed by a flat vegetation roof. The facade combines a mineral plaster and a wooden garnish forming a fine component of the decoration.

04 Zoning of land New development has clearly defined four spaces with various character.
05 Functional dividing The aim of design is creation of logical disposition that will stands in time.
06 Sustainability Premise of energy saving solution is passive and active using of the solar energy.
The main aim was to create an energy self-sufficient family house, settled into the peaceful environment countryside on the western edge of Považská basin, framed by the nature of the river basin Váh. The house is designed as a one-generation house. It is settled in that way, that its main mass can isolate itself from the street and opens to the forest. The main mass is made by four wings, organised as a letter „X.“ Wings are functionally differentiated to the private – sleeping part of the house, the main public – living part of the house, entrance and the rear part of the house with garage. The basic idea of draft of this family house is focused on the tectonics and composition, which were based on two materially and functionally different blocks. They were inserted to each other into one harmonious aggregate. Added value of the house is underground vine cellar. The priority was to create the living part of the house by forming variable space. The central dominant becomes fireplace as a place of meeting the whole family. The house provides to its user many places and nooks with sovereign atmosphere. Site

draft Before Theoriginal layout solution of standardized family house with the central position of sub-horizontal roads.
Clarification of the object from useless constructions and creating new buildings openings. Maximization of the interiors spaces with inconspicuous coverage.
After The change of disposition into logic aggregates. Deformation of the living part to variable space. Optical and physical connection of the exterior with interior.
New constructions and division of the space. Complete insulation of the object and by this the reduction of its energy intensity. Possibility of the lateral and longitudinal ventilation.
The family house from fifties, which disposition reports to its design solution. In the draft there are many original structures used. The mass is added in a solid volume. The roof of the object receives new shape, but the house has the typical character. By the sensitive adding of new elements into the existing object rises the quality of users living and shapes the whole plasticity of the building. Newly formed terrace directly extends the living area and opens the house to the garden. The reconstruction of the house monitors the development of user numbers and the changing demands for the space. Because of this reason is the whole reconstruction divided into several stages. From the first change of disposition on the ground floor for signle living, gradually by establishing a revitalization of surface around the object, a landscaping and a modification of the garden. The final phase is finished by creating terrace and additional structures. The changing of truss into living truss, the house fulfils the claims for the proper living of four people family or multigenerational living. Original condition

The proposal was to create an entrance object to the ruins of the chapel of St. Anthony from 1652. The former chapel as well as the newly created object is a direct part of the country, which is based on their relative position and overall siting. The main intention was to restore the lost on the ground and to noncompete with pre-existing. The construction is therefore to be seen as a sort of “living organism” with a dynamically flowing space that takes place inside a single cubist matter. Dualism of the object, which is based on its form and content, encourages curiosity of the observer. Work with the movement of interior space, play of light and shadow, as well as the use and structure of the material is formed a unified whole with its emphasis on human perceptions. By its scale, proportions and transcendent nature, object creates in the human subject feeling trivia as a symbolism of a certain path to humility.

MATERIAL AND TECHNOLOGY
The object represents the focal point of the festival due to its close bond with music. Presence of people is fundamental for its success. Music, as the vital part of the festival, fills people with energy, who themselves through their activity bring the object to life. People themselves are participating in creation of the icon. Then it presents itself as a meeting point, an activity hub, chill zone as well as a vista point. It embodies the idea of an island as an independent object and at the same time reflects the name of the festival Øya. The concept of the building satisfies the demands for sustainable development: chosen solutions promote energy subsistence and recycling.
The structure is situated in the middle of the festival area in Tøyen park, making it equally distant from all functions within it. It respects the genius loci of the place and unagressively adds value to the park environment. It defines the art sculpture, rendering it more appealing to the senses of people. Its elevation allows one to enjoy the view on the festival grounds as well as take in the silhouette of Oslo, which was a highlight of the previous festival grounds.
One of the basic ideas behind this concept is grouping up people, which happens at two levels. First, placing the object in three bases allows for paths leading to the inner atrium. Here increased activity of people takes place, accompanied by laser / light show and various projections. Ramps take one to the upper level reserved for relaxation. It also offers us outlook over the festival and provides great views of the site. A centrical object is thus built, which creates with its structure a seamless space.
Symbolism of music and sustainability is reflected in the construction itself with its polycarbonate panels. These are made of recycled CDs and DVDs, which are becoming less and less important nowadays. Semitransparent panels which form the facade are secured by the construction made from recycled steel elements. The floor is crucial, too. It uses the PaveGen tile system to transform movement and activity of people into electric energy, which is consequently utilized to power the object itself. The building can be either a permanent one or deconstructed after the festival is over.
