FUTURISTIC SELF- SUSTAINABLE WATER CITY
ESSENCE
This thesis topic envisages the extreme future condition of a contemporary pressing issue: the flooding of the world due to climate change and environmental abuse. And propose a water city that stand as the last piece of island in the world, as a last utopia for the people to live on and survive in the flooded world after 100 years. The design is inspired by the beauty of natural landscape, and has incorporated Kevin Lynch(1960s) idea of 5 elements of city as the base of design , which is “paths, edges, districts, nodes, and landmarks.
Paths
Essence: As the last utopia ark for human in the flooded future, the proposal is self- sustainable and guarantee the provision of three elements of life, including: sunlight, air and water. It also satisfied all the needs of human being and is being separated into 5 zones – residential, commercial, cultural, agricultural, recreational. Although these functions are uniquely defined and separate, they supply each other in all respects within its setting with plazas offering visitors a tapestry- like sequence of urban ambiances that relate to the different functions. The proposal becomes a flexible element for a new form of human settlement. It guarantees the aggregation and rise of new human life in its brand new natural element and laws: water.

URBAN FISH FARM, LABOTARY AND OFFICE
AQUA OFFICE
Metropolitan city is always considered a concrete city that only consume resources supply by suburbs or rural areas without any input or production. The AQUA OFFICE is a prototype for a vertical fish farm that is more efficient than traditional farms. It was designed as a propose solution to the substantial decrease of wild fish which is estimated to peak by 2050. This tower proposes an intensive, yet healthy aquaculture environment with three primary programmatic components. The first one is a greenery area that is given back to the public for leisure purpose. The second component is the fish farms that are designed based on the research and analysis of habitation and movement of specific fish species. Each tank has specific width, form, and shape that resemble natural habitats. The third program is dedicated to aquaculture related business office and research labs, which foucs on the testing and developing of new technologies for urban vertical fish farming.

FEDERATION EAST COMPLEX DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL
URBAN DUNES
With the grid, Melbourne is a functional and efficient city. However, being efficient also means of unidirectional and boring. Every street seems to be similar and have no characters, flow is always focus in one direction, tram goes all the way from Coburg to flinders street station, from north to south, or west to east. People lack of the time and mood to really look around and enjoy the city. Flow of Forces is always unidirectional.
“氣, Chi” is the most primitive, substantial energy in Chinese philosophy. It is a force that exists in universe, nature or even inside human body. “Chi” must be able to flow in order to be healthy. Architecturally, it can be generated by any kind of vectors from the site. It can be any natural elements, wind, topography, or even circulation flow on the site. Human is always related to architecture. Now, the site is unhealthy as the flow of Chi is being obstructed by the railway. By rebuild landscape on the top of railway, the flow of Chi can be re-introduced to the site and heal it.
Connect To City Grid
Site
On top of that, Tectonic of the western classical architecture can no longer apply well on architecture nowadays. Architecture is no longer formed by individual elements like column and floor plate. Learning from Zaha Hadid, the way that dynamic and fluid form inspiring from landscape is the future of architecture. Building is something that is artificial to me and should never exist in nature. It should be camouflage and merge with the flow of landscape in which you can never be able to notice that on the ground. By using techniques like folding and fragmentation, I am trying to study the possibility of having a multi directional flow of “Chi in architecture, as well as to the city, and create a vibrant and energetic art centre on the site.

4. the south east corner is raised to open up the view.

NANNING EXHIBITION CENTER
Nanning is developing fast enough as one of the most important economic city of guangdong province. The nanning exhibition center is no longer enough to serve the developing economic city. After research and study, the existing exhibition center consists of 4 main problems. 1.traffic congestion 2.isolation 3.distant entrance from main road 4.insufficient of exhibition area and facilities The above existing problems have been solved through the help of bim modelling. besides bim modelling, i have also participate in the preparation of presentation diagrams and drawings.

SHENYANG EXHIBITION CENTER
Being one of the prioritize developing cities in china, Shenyang government is planning to develop a massive scale of unique purpose-built facilities for their exhibitions, conventions and meetings or for banqueting. The project consists of a 6-storey commercial podium with nearly 100,000m² convention and exhibition site, two office towers, 3 serviced apartments, and 2 hotel towers. It aims at hosting the world’s greatest events and renowned in excellence while enhancing shenyang’s international image. In this project, i mainly participate in the project coordination and the preparation of the construction drawings.
