Stage 4.ii (SEO) Search Engine Optimisation SEO is a process that is used to maximise the number of visitors to the R&A website, taking particular steps to ensure the site appears on the top list of search results conducted by search engines such as google, bing, yahoo, etc. Although mentioned in this implementation stage, the process must be considered early in the content analysis stage.
An extended SEO tips listing can be found in the Appendix part B - Research Log - 18/08/2013
1.
Define user target and their search queries The question “Who are we exactly trying to reach with this website” has a more to do
with “What are they looking for” rather than who they personally really are. Appendix Part A - Meeting Log - 28/06/2013
Appendix
This section includes logs and summary of meetings, e-mail discussions & research prior to developing this Proposal and Analysis Documentation.
Part A Metting Log 28/06/2013
The Overview
Robere & Associates (R&A) Quality Management Consulting firm, has enquired a website project proposal, that must consist of an overall site clean-up, link fixes, administrative issues entailing site update abilities, and adding a "Vietnam" section to the current site.
The overall site review was that R&A currently host two different websites of it's own, one of which is in English (http://www.robere.com) , the other in Thai (http://www.robere.com/thaitrain).
Both sites are developed with completely different visual standards and back-end technology, none of which have an intuitive administration set up that is friendly enough for the R&A staff team to update many desired extra content, nor are they trained, or given access, to do so.
One of the staff has also mentioned that the site looks “old

A full website evaluation was conducted in a meeting with the R&A Thai office staff, to outline what the team required, and would like to see in the new website. Managing Director Dr. Paul Robere , Senior Marketing & Sales Executive Khun Niwat C. , Khun Phattarawadee kindly gathered at the meeting to discuss their preferences and issues with their current sites, this was when the Thai version of the site was introduced.
Feature Evaluation
The possibility of using of a Content Management System (CMS) such as Joomla (http://www.joomla.org) or Wordpress (http://www. wordpress.org) was mentioned, along with an identified list of features
- Existing Features -
that the R&A Team would like to carry forth from existing sites, as well as what they hoped the future site could also accomplish.
Outlined are the abilities the current site has, and wish list.
within http://www.robere.com, it has the ability to, 1.Update site content Articles, News and Updates about R&As current affairs, Promotion and other text related content to display as a web page.
2.Upload resources pdf. doc. ppt. txt. and other documents for sharing with site members
3.Grant Content access abilities, Registration and Log in In which ; site visitors can view information about R&A and view, as well as enquired, about services ; site Productivity Improvement Club (PI-Club) members that have logged in, can view extra content ; and administrators that have logged in, can update and upload content.
4.Display Public Training Schedule A list view of available training courses and dates for the whole year, enabling clients to click on the course names to study it’s subject matter, the benefits, prerequisites, to print registration forms and contact the team to inquire specifically about the course.
5.Inquiring about training courses The “inquire” button on each course outline links directly to a contact form, using the course name it was directed from as the title.
6. Sell R&As publications on an online book shop This feature is called e-commerce, which was stated that the current shop it did not provide any visible payment for the publications towards R&A at all since it was installed. We have suggested an in house shopping cart system, without the use of amazon, though using both is also an option.
7. Contacting the R&A staff members via online A contact us form/ page, that directly sends e-mail enquiries to R&A staff members
8. Display Static content Such as About pages, and Services information, are not regularly updated, it includes images, video content, and text , which some are already out of date. Being able to update these is also preferable.
9. Track payments A list of customers, showing paid and unpaid services, that enables a printing into a pdf or paper form, to send to customers. The Problem is that it isn’t completely legally helpful, when it comes to unpaid circumstances. I have suggested adding a Terms and Conditions page for both online and printed registration forms.

- Existing Features within http://www.robere.com/thaitrain, these only include features that have yet been mentioned previously, this child site has the ability to, 1. Display Animated banner & Mouse over pop up information Staffs have mentioned they would like to keep these functions, as it has enhanced visual appeal to the site - The animated banner show pleasing images that are also relevant to the industry, the label along the banner interests viewers to read more about the introduced topic. - The Mouse over functions similar to the image banner, but instead of a carousel of visuals, the information only displays just underneath the curser as it hovers over a specific key word, phrase or site hyperlink
2. Show different schedule display views Public training schedule have separate views on separate pages, showing monthly or yearly overview of provided public training.
3. Accept Online registration Online registration is now available for each scheduled training, the registration form allows inserting names for each participant and their company information.
4.View Photo Gallery These show photographs from pass course training, both public and in-house training, the R&A team had facilitate.
- Key site appearance have been mentioned as follows,
1. Colour Scheme The Blue colour was used from the beginning of the start of the company, in it’s logos and site, and that was how it was formed. It made sense, since R&A provides a large list of Training courses, and Blue is physiologically thought to be calming, causing greater focus and productivity. 2.Theme A professional and clean level of design is expected, no unrelated animated characters and decorative objects around the website, too many colours, too many things happening to a website page, when it’s suppose to be informational, unless it helps viewers to find what they are looking for easily, the requirement was that distracting bright animating objects are an immediate reject. 3.The Main use for the site A hub of information, which updates and encourages people to come back to visit, as part of the helpful and beneficial ecosystem of R&As services. This includes, reference materials, tests, reading materials, course and training registrations, consultation and service inquiries, live camera consultation video feeds and webinar access.
Appendix Part A - Meeting Log - 02/08/2013
- Feature wish list , as described by R&A staff members, enlisted under specialised terms used as headings for use in the rest of the document.
1. Lists List of customers, List of affiliates, List of F.A.Qs, List of article links, that can be interacted in some way, Such as customer lists show testimonials, F.A.Q. lists questions that can display answers when a specified question is selected, List of articles can redirect to another page - Though we suggested that it is beneficial to make a review or the article ourselves and include the referenced article link under our review, this is to ensure our site viewers are kept to explore our site, increasing traffic and access time on our site. This helps to push our site up in the google search ranking.
2. Feedback & Comments, The concern was when customers or other unidentified source spam our comment feed, it is unprofessional to display such feedback. We have suggested, that feedback can be given through a separate form, which administrators and staff members can police, purge or evaluate such record, while comment section under the articles reviewed, should be encouraged, since contradicting comments carry traffic towards our site, also boosting up our site rank in the google search engine.
3. Video Posting As part of the PI-Club members, access to video training online, as part of their E-learning material, is a great addition, for short courses, how to videos, and to re-watch Webinars, or for clients who has missed it all together, they should have the ability to watch them even when they weren’t available at the allocated Webinar time. The use of “Camtasia” (http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.html) recording for the web is suggested, since it has already been in use for many years, and thus will be explored for the new website.
4. Camera Access For use of online conferencing in situations such as setting up a Webinar, or used as a Live help desk through the website. “GoToMeeting” (http://www.gotomeeting.com) is already in use, and you be the preferred platform. Interestingly “Citrix “(http://www.citrix. com) allows us to use and set up a GoToMeeting Platform directly on our website page. Further research and tests is required to be conducted upon site set up for GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar and GoToTraining.
5. Social Media Integration The staff at R&A, Khun Niwat, has already created a Facebook page and uploaded various videos related to R&A on Youtube. Favours for Facebook likes and gallery feed was an encouragement to explore social media possibilities, that would encourage a straight forward update. So when the social media pages were updated, the R&A site respective contents would automatically be updated as well.
