It’s very exciting to initiate the Carson family’s first stand alone bull sale! But as so many of you reading this know that these people have sold bulls for a long time, over three family generations and forty years, to be somewhat precise!

The Northern Light reputation for breeding performance driven, soft-sided cattle that look after themselves precedes itself. Much of this has been brought to the foundations of this cowherd through the selection process of herdsires introduced along the journey such as Rogar, Trustin, Rashad, Ladies Man and more. You will find these bulls as either the sires of the sale offering or throughout their pedigrees. Simply said, you can’t find people as nice to work with as this family. We know this very well from a first hand experience of marketing their bulls for many years through the Premium Beef Bull Sale in Neepawa and their annual fall bred heifer sale. We thank them for their continued loyalty, cooperation, mutual respect, and ability to get along with others. It’s been our pleasure!

On behalf of the Carson gang, we invite you to attend the sale, which will be held in the lovely Rossburn Hall as a live auction in a video format. The bulls are always available for viewing, including the sale day in their home wintering pens prior to the 2:00 CST sale time, a few miles from the auction site. Google maps will take you right to the farm!

We are always available to assist you with any pre-sale appraisals and in the event you can’t personally attend, our free order-buying services are available for you to utilize.

TRANSCON’S ABSENTEE BUYER REPRESENTATION

The Transcon Team is available to anyone that cannot personally attend to confidentially appraise, bid and buy on your behalf. This service is conflictfree as we are not paid any buying incentive fees by the sellers and we are not active Simmental breeders. This service is also provided free of charge to all prospective buyers. Please call our cell phones for any assistance you may require.

DELIVERY

Option A Bring your trailer to the sale and take your purchase sale day.

Option B Free delivery on the bulls to central points in western Canada. We will do our best to get them right to your place. Distances further will be on a cost share basis. Bulls can be taken back to the sellers and boarded free of charge to May 1/23. After that a $5.00/day charge will apply. We request that all bulls returning to the farm be insured.

FOR U.S. BUYERS

Our sales are conducted in Canadian funds. The U.S. exchange rate will be available at the settlement desk. Upon successful purchase of an animal, the consignors will assist with the necessary documentation, health exams, brokerage and U.S. custom charges necessary to export your animal to the U.S. An additional fee of $300.00 U.S. per animal will be charged for this service, and is due at time of settlement. Transportation to a convenient location is included in this price.

Semen Rights

Northern Light Simmentals retains the right to draw semen on all sale bulls for in-herd use at buyer’s convenience and the seller’s cost.
