Why do we travel? The will to know yourself, the intention to fill in that void you hide inside, the quest to open your heart for love. Most of our travel itineraries are driven with purpose. We feel lifted from our burdens when we are far from the noises of our mundane life. Travelling is indeed a therapy to one’s weary soul. When you are broken and lost, go to a place you’ve never been to, see things in a different perspective, go and find yourself, and a whole lot more of wanderlustinspired quotes in the web. But what if one day you wake up enlightened, feeling whole and ready to love again, does that mean the traveling has to cease as well?

The answer is No. Instead go and travel more, reach longer mileage, climb higher peaks, beat your previous record of farthest country you’ve been to. Go back to the places you had crushed out of your bucket list, but this time bring your new self and be your own travel buddy. Tag along that soul mate you’ve been waiting to arrive for years and make memories together. since you enjoyed the perks of traveling solo, you’ll surely do more when you go tandem. The learnings are far better and perspectives wider when two personalities come into terms. Imagine the beautiful possibilities. Travel when you’re NOWHErE to be found. Travel more when you’re NOW HErE and complete again.

Floating and distant. Why I prefer landscapes through a telephoto lens, travelling further from where you already are, even the stars are within your reach. Dogs are great companions in the great outdoors too. There’s nothing more to say, we just have to make the most out of every island.

It’s true what they say, that you can never justify the beauty of Batanes in stills. Everywhere you go, you find yourself a 360-degree view of their breathtaking greenery and preserved culture. Batanes reminds you of the shores of Hawaii and the cool breeze of Guam.

Signing up for tour packages is great if you want to make the most of your time, but nothing ever beats the road less travelled. You can always find your cheap thrills through tricycle rides offered by the warm locals. A trip cut short by only two days may have been the quickest time spent in the island, but it was more than enough to miss the endless rolling hills, the sound of the waves that greeted you in the morning and the laid-back way of living.

You’d be surprised to know that in this perfectly isolated place, you don’t only find peace and contentment, but you find yourself too.
