How to turn Homeownership into a Side Hustle

Does the rising cost of just about everything these days make your dream of owning your own home feel less within reach? According to Bankrate, many people are seeking additional income through side hustles, possibly to cope with those increasing expenses and save for a home. This trend is particularly popular with younger individuals who may be dealing with student loan debt (see graph below):

Collin County What's in the Collin County data? The market for detached residential units saw 900 closed sales at a median price of $481k, and 26.3% of properties sold above their list price. There was a total of 1,105 new listings, providing a 2.9 month supply with an average of 13 days on the market without price reduction. The market for condo and townhome units saw 57 closed sales at a median price of $410k, and 19.3% of properties sold above their list price. There were 107 new listings, providing a 3.9 month supply with an average of 16 days on the market without price reduction.
