Each season the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony must raise $1.8 million in contributions from people, companies and private foundations through its annual fund drive. Your annual donations ensure that the KWS continues as a vibrant, core cultural organization for our region and beyond.
• Employ 52 professional musicians who perform, teach and contribute to a higher quality of life for our communities. • Bring today’s great artists to Waterloo Region and Wellington County. • Send musicians into area schools as part of our School Concerts Program. In 2008/2009 126 classroom visits took place and over 10,000 students attended our schools concerts. • Nurture a future generation of professional musicians through our 5-ensemble Youth Orchestra Program. • Donate 1,700 tickets to charitable organizations across region, sharing the gift of great music.
