A JOURNEY OF
100 DAYS OF FAITH
BY ZENIA SMITH
DAY 1
The aim of our lives is to please God and it is only through faith that we can please Him. If the object of our lives is to put our faith in God, rather than us placing our faith in Him as a means to an end, we find His shalom and He can move and give us the desires of our hearts. “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. - Psalm 37:4 [AMP]
DAY 2
The size of a mustard seed... When last have you actually held a mustard seed? It disappears in your hand. That is all it takes. But I cannot help noticing how much more visible it is when you have more than one mustard seed in your hand. Stand together, trust in Him together and encourage each other to place your faith in God!!
DAY 3
You knew that your manna would come today; you did not see it but you believed it was coming. And now I send you your bread for today. That is faith: believing without seeing.
DAY 4
Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. JESUS was the WORD and He became flesh... how do we hear something that has no sound? By hearing with our hearts. What heart can hear His voice? A sensitive heart. How do we keep our hearts sensitive? By spending time with Jesus, and so we can increase our faith by ‘hearing’ and by ‘hearing’ the Word of God: Jesus. “So faith comes by hearing (what is told), and what is heard comes by the preaching (of the message that came from the lips) of Christ (the Messiah Himself). – Romans 10:17 [AMP]
DAY 5
Faith builds faith! God is Faithful. It is His character. Why is it so easy for you to see His faithfulness in the little things (your full stomach last night... your warm bed to lay your head... the sun coming up this morning) but you are unable to see His faithfulness in the big things? Meditate on all the times that He has provided for you in the little things, until His character of being faithful is embedded in your inner being. That will build the springboard for you to launch blindly in FAITH into unknown territory of trust in Him.
DAY 6
FAITH LIKE A CHILD... not because they are less intelligent, but because it is so much easier for them to regard Him as faithful when He has promised
DAY 7
Faith is not blind. It is a conscious decision to follow a God who has already beenrevealed to you. Keep making that decision to put your faith in Him until it becomes part of your being and the evidence of the work that He has started in your life, the things that are to the world not seen... but that will be revealed in Him if you will only keep hoping in our Father. Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
DAY 8
Faith is seeing things that are not.. as if they were. Ponder on this throughout the day. How many times will you doubt, how many times will your mind wander on things that might be. Decide to see the things that He put in place before they are in place.
DAY 9
In faith allow Me to peel away the layer you have built around your heart. I build on a solid foundation, a Cornerstone that I have tried and tested and found worthy to carry all your burdens and your pain. The more I can peel off your layers the more and more you will be able to hear My voice until you can no longer distinguish between My end and your beginning. It will be painful, and it will be sore but if you allow Me to complete the work that I have started in you, you will be presented a nugget of gold purified by fire and found to be beautiful. Jeremiah 1:10 “...to root out, and pull down, destroy and throw down, to build and to plant!
DAY 10
The sign of a true follower of Christ is deciding to put your faith in Christ even when everything around you looks like it is going the other way. When in the natural it seems like a done deal. But then, in faith, we look to the unseen and we decide to trust and believe in a God that never fails! We blow life into a pile of dry bones... we sacrifice our sons of promise on an alter of wood believing that God will wake them from the dead... we hit a rock with a stick when we have forgotten what fresh water tastes like, believing that a stream will flow and bring refreshment to our weary souls.
DAY 11
“I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart, I will enter His gates with praise! I will say this is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice for He has made me glad!” – Psalm 100:4
DAY 12
When it comes to matters of faith, seeing is not believing. In fact ‘seeing’ displaces faith; for once you see you no longer require faith and that makes you poor; for faith is what you require to please your Father.
DAY 13
Rest in Me! Be satisfied in ME! Not what I can do for you – but IN the I am who I am! I will renew your strength and you will fly on eagle’s wings. Read: Isaiah 40:31
DAY 14
God is not only the Giver of Life, but also the Sustainer of life. Why would the great Gardener cease to be involved in the fruit of His labour once the seeds are sown? No, He remains as fully present and involved in the tending of the garden and looking after the fruit as He was in creating and planting the seeds. Know this and you will never cease to see My hand in bringing that which I have started to completion.
DAY 15
Lord we come to You this morning in the name of your Son; Jesus Christ! We thank you for what He has done for us. As we celebrate your life, Your blood and your eternal sacrifice we are reminded of what You do for Your people, for those that choose you, and those that love You. Would you come Lord, and search our hearts and show us where there is any iniquity in us that we need to bring to You? Read: Psalm 139 Cover us with Your blood, oh Lamb of God; inspire us to fear You, for that is the beginning of knowledge . “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” – Proverbs 1:7 [NKJV]
DAY 16
The Lord said unto me, “’My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly, I will rather rejoice in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9 [NKJV]
DAY 17
When we walk EACH step by faith we start to LIVE by faith, we put our TRUST in God and our HOPE will then truly be in HIM. Lord, thank you that through Jesus we can be reconciled back to You, that we can purposefully dedicate our lives body soul and spirit to You as we find rest under Your wings.
DAY 18
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want... above all else He cares for us. Who am I to doubt the goodness of the One who has proven over and over again that He is Faithful? Read: Psalm 23
DAY 19
He is risen! He is alive! Today we can celebrate Jesus who conquered death and rose on the third day. Today we can celebrate being the first fruit of His labour. Let us give ourselves for His purposes and His plans. surrendering our all for His glory; laying ourselves at His altar as a first fruit offering.
DAY 20
“But those who WAIT for the Lord (who expect, look for, and hope in Him) shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up (close to God) as eagles (mount up to the sun); they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” – Isaiah 40:31 [AMP] There is such reward locked up in exercising the discipline of WAITING on the Lord. Wait for Him to speak in His time; to reveal in His time and to act in His time.
DAY 21
To live in My presence takes practice. The more time you spend in My Word, the more you will be filled with trust and the more you will experience Me. For I am the Truth and the Way and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through the Word who became flesh. Read: John 1:1 and Read: John 14:6
DAY 22
And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision and engrave it so plainly on tablets, so that everyone who passes may (be able to) read it (easily and quickly) as he hastens by. For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end (fulfilment); it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait (earnestly) for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behind man on its appointed day. Look at the proud; his soul is not straight or right within him, but the (rigidly) just and the (uncompromisingly) righteous man shall live by his faith and in His faithfulness. – Habakkuk 2:2 to 4 [AMP]
DAY 23
My one true desire is to have a relationship with you. Relationships are not about headlines; they are about the small prints. I am so eager to hear about your day, about your joy and about your sorrow. I want to see the world through your eyes. I cherish times with you, sitting at My feet staring into My eyes. When you can see your own reflection in the pupils of My eyes, you have come home, My child. Read: Psalm 34:15 to 22
DAY 24
“Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your Holy hill? He who walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart.” – Psalm 15:1-2 Read: Psalm 15 Oh Lord grant us thy favour that we may abide in Your tabernacle and that we may dwell on Your holy hill. Help us to fear You and to trust in You for Your glory. Selah
DAY 25
“Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him...” “But those that wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.” – Psalm 37:5-7 and 9 [NKJV]2
DAY 26
I go before you, I will go before you, I have gone before you. To you the path might look dark and unknown but trust in Me, My child. Stay close enough to My Word and use it as a lamp to your feet and you can be assured that the path you are walking is YOUR path; the one that I walked out for you, step by step, mountain by mountain, and valley by valley. It leads to LIFE.
DAY 27
God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with Him, and we walk in darkness, we lie and do not know the truth: but if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanses us from all sin. Read: John 1:5-7 Jesus is inviting us, his sons and daughters, to bring ever area of our lives into His Light. As we lay down more and more of ourselves we make way for more and more of Him to manifest in our lives. This is how we grow to greater and greater intimacy with Him.
DAY 28
“But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” – Matthew 6:33 [NKJV] Then our faith can unlock a greater, deeper and more fulfilling relationship with our Father in Heaven.
DAY 29
Today is the day that the Lord has made! Today I will choose to rejoice in it. I will choose to be glad in it. I will choose to love and be loved. I will choose to PUT my faith in an almighty God who never fails. Even if I cannot see any fruit, I will choose to trust and to obey. “This is from the Lord and is His doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. This is the day which the Lord has brought about; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, we beseech You, send now prosperity, O Lord we beseech You, and give to us success!” – Psalm 118:23-25 [AMP] “You are my God, and I will confess, praise, and give thanks to You; You are my God, I will extol You. O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endures forever.” – Psalm 118:28-29 [AMP]
DAY 30
“And He said to him, ‘Arise, go thy way. Thy faith hath made thee whole.” – Luke 17:19 (KJV) There is only one thing that can restore our brokenness, and that is the Lamb that was slain. By His blood we are reconciled to our Creator: God. We can come before a Holy God and put our faith in Him. “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:23 [NKJV] And He can make us whole!
DAY 31
Look through the storm, look for the rainbow at the end. It will be a sign of my covenant that I will be with you and that you will be called by My Name. You have to go through the storm to get to My peace. But keep your eyes on the Light. It might look dim when you set off, but the more you focus on the light instead of on the storm, the brighter it will become, until it is all that you will see.
DAY 32
I know your yesterday from your tomorrow, because I have been there already. I have laid out the path for you to walk. Step by step with your eyes fixed on Me, you will find peace; My shalom peace. Trust and obey for there is no other way. Read: Psalm 11
DAY 33
Bless the Lord O my soul! My faith grows in His presence. Therefore I will seek the Lord all my days, for my longing and my one true desire is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. Read: Psalm 103
DAY 34
The sweet spot of living in faith is balancing on the edge of a cliff, where your life is in such total submission to God that is does not “feel” safe. Every now and then you step off the cliff... but you can enjoy the freefall for a few seconds, for you KNOW He will catch you on His wings and you will soar through the wind on His back. Once you have experienced the exhilaration of this ‘high’ you will devote your life to reliving it over and over again. Lord, grant us the ability to LIVE each day in faith, trusting in You alone.
DAY 35
“That your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” – 1 Corinthians 2:5 [NKJV] “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” – Proverbs 9:10 [NKJV] “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” – Proverbs 3:5-6 [NKJV]
DAY 36
In Him we live and breathe and have our being. It is in Him that we truly come alive and where we can be who He created us to be. When we discover our own identity in Him we have confidence to stand against the darkness, and it is then that we can overcome! “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” – 1 John 5:4-5 (NKJV)
DAY 37
Our HOPE is in YOU Lord Jesus! For eyes have not seen and ears have not heard what You have planned for us because we love You and seek You with all our hearts. “For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.” – Romans 8:24-25 [NKJV] God judges the heart, and He looks at the attitude of our heart. We are called to wait upon the Lord with eager expectation, to wait upon THE LORD, not to wait upon the things which He blesses us, but to wait upon HIM.
“This I recall to mind, therefore I have hope. Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:21-23 [NKJV] A Holy God looks at us in our fallible, human, weak, sinful state, with compassion and tender mercies. How can we respond with anything but faith in Him?
DAY 38
Be exceedingly glad when we are granted an opportunity for the genuineness of our faith to be tested, which is infinitely more precious than perishable gold which is tested and purified by fire. Read: 1 Peter 1
DAY 39
Hope displaces fear... and displaced fear makes room for faith. “Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy.” – Psalm 33:18 (NKJV)
DAY 40
You are enough for Me. I made you to be exactly who you are becoming as you lay down more and more of yourself to make room f or more and more of Me through you. I have laid it all out for you to just be. Choose today to steer your faith towards believing that I am satisfied in you. “I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.” – Psalm 139:14 (NKJV)
DAY 41
How big is your shield? Only as big as your god... “Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.” – Ephesians 6:16 (NKJV) Choose to put your trust in Jesus Christ the Lord; make Him the only God of your life and see how your shield will grow.
DAY 42
It is Christ in us, the hope of glory. It is eternal perspective. It is living today knowing your future is secure. It is choosing to follow Christ because in Him our hope is found. “To whom God was pleased to make known how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ within and among you, the Hope of [realizing the] glory.” – Colossians 1:27 [AMP]
DAY 43
Your faith is tested when what you ‘hear’ and what you ‘see’ is not the same; when in fact they are opposites. Keep your eyes and ears tuned to the voice of your Shepherd and you will receive your reward. “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life- is not of the Father but is of the world, and the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” – 1 John 2:15-17 [NKJV] Read: John 17:6-19
DAY 44
Consider it pure joy when your faith gets tested, for it brings out endurance and steadfastness and patience. Let the perseverance do its work so that you can be made complete and WHOLE; lacking nothing. Read: James 1:1-6
DAY 45
His goodness, faithfulness and mercy lead us to humility and not pride. The more and more His works are displayed through us the more they bring us to our knees, knowing that an Almighty God stoops down to meet us. You’re the God and I am the man... It is ALL about You, Jesus!
DAY 46
Look at the leaves falling as the season ends. We are so often tempted to rake away all evidence at the end of a season as we run into the promise of the greener pastures of the next season. DO NOT! The leaves that fall at the end of a season become the nourishment that feeds the tree for the season to come. “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28 [NKJV]
DAY 47
I am true to my Word, for I am Faithful. If we put our faith in the Word it is no longer “blind faith, for we know that His Word is trustworthy. Choose to believe that the Word is Truth, and if we put our faith in it we will have Life. Listen dear child, listen to My promises. Listen and choose to believe.
DAY 48
Faith, hope and love... The greatest of these is love. Why is love the greatest? Because hope and faith have a purpose which will be fulfilled when we meet Jesus. For how can we hope for what we already have, and have faith in what we already see? But LOVE is the condition in which we will live for eternity! “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” – 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV)
DAY 49
Be still and know... and AGAIN be still and know... that I am God. Sometimes we think that we are still but He requires of us to be even more still. He peaks in the quiet; He speaks to the deepest part of our soul. The more still it is the better we can hear His voice calling out to us. Be still, until He speaks. Stop talking. Stop trying to solve everything. I am here for that. I AM GOD. “Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” – Psalm 46:10 [NKJV]
DAY 50
I am the River of Life. Whosoever drinks from me will never thirst again! “But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. The woman said to Him, ‘Sir, give me this water that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw’.” – John 4:14-15 [NKJV]
DAY 51
He died.. He is risen! God made a way through the laying down of His Son’s life. He did not create a shortcut. We need to die to sin before we can be resurrected into Him. There is no shortcut. Death comes before life! Lay down your life anew this day to create a platform for the miracle of His resurrection to manifest in you. Read: Ephesians 2:5 and Read: Romans 6:11
DAY 52
God has not given us a spirit of fear... If you are functioning in fear ask yourself from which spirit you are functioning and operating. Repent and move on; boldly proclaiming He has given you a Spirit of power, love and of a sound mind. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
DAY 53
See what love the Father has lavished on us in letting us be called God’s children, for that is what we are! How can we not feel overwhelmed by a sense of gratitude, as we ponder on the gifts that He has bestowed upon us; the gift we have in spiritual family, unity in Christ? The world sees our love for each other, the way we serve one another and the way that we serve our Lord together; it is a love that they cannot comprehend. They will know we are Christians by our love.
“By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.- John 13:35 [NKJV] Faith is a journey and we are not meant to walk it alone. Read: Hebrews 10:25 No earthly relationship can ever give us what we have in brothers and sisters in Christ. As we live in the light as He is in the light, we will have fellowship one with another.
DAY 54
Ah, the glorious gift of not seeing... For the moment we see it no longer requires faith, and without faith it is impossible to please God. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” – Hebrews 11:6 [NKJV]
DAY 55
Jesus is busy preparing us a place to live; a room in His Father’s house. Are you, His bride, busy preparing yourself for His return? “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” – John 14:1-2 [NKJV] “All that awaits me now is the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, will award to me on that Day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for Him to appear.” – 2 Timothy 4:8 (CJB)
DAY 56
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts higher than your thoughts.” – Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV) There is no end to what our faith in Him can accomplish. We are simply to trust and obey, for there IS no other way.
DAY 57
Dwell in ME and I will dwell in you. Live in ME and I will live in you. Growing in faith changes your brief visits with the Lord into longer stays and eventually you live in Him. “Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” – John 15:4 (NKJV) “For in Him we live and move and have our being... for we are also His offspring.” – Acts 17:28 (NKJV)
DAY 58
I have blessed you with brothers and sisters in Me. Never underestimate the gift locked up in those around you. Some for you to teach, and some for you to learn. Above all to see, feel and understand a glimpse of My love for you. So stretch out your arms; touch, hug and love as I have done for you.
DAY 59
Faith without works is dead. Take what I show you, take the knowledge, understanding and wisdom gained in Me and bless those that I bring to you. Read: James 2:14-26
DAY 60
“Here is what Adonai says: Stand at the crossroads and look; ask about the ancient paths, ‘Which one is the good way?’Take it, and you will find rest for your souls.” – Jeremiah 6:16 [CJB]
DAY 61
The battle we are fighting is in the spirit; it is not flesh. Look up! Look up and see that those fighting for us are more than those fighting for them. Have confidence in knowing that you are walking a path predestined for you to walk. All that is required of you is to simply remain planted in obedience; even when things around you seem to prove the opposite. Do not lose heart, for I am faithful! Where your physical abilities reach their end, My supernatural abilities are manifest.
I have blessed you with talents, but your obedience to Me can reach much further than your talents ever could. Faith grows as you heed to My calling and to My Spirit. The more you allow Him to work in and through you, the more your life will display the fruit of faith in Me. “The fruit of the Spirit is.... faith.” – Galatians 5:22 Peter, when asked if he knew the man being crucified, denied Jesus three times. That same Peter, once filled with Holy Spirit, gave a life changing sermon that showed such enviable boldness; a boldness that landed him in prison.
DAY 62
Rest... rest securely in the knowledge that I have redeemed you. I have set you free. Not only did I create you, but I have also bought you. You are Mine.
DAY 63
Have faith that you are one with Me as I am one with the Father. Listen to My heartbeat and let it be the metronome to your life song. In tune with Me as I am in tune with the Father is how I have called you to live. Seek Me first.
DAY 64
Do not lose sight of the one true reward: JESUS! He is our Reward. Life is good and so is the fullness thereof, but count all as loss compared to the gain that is a life lived with Jesus. All else will fade but He remains; the Author of our lives and the one who brings it all to completion. He is our hope, He is our reward for a life lived in faith. Read: Philippians 3:8 May YHVH blow away all that is dead in your life. May you feel the anticipation of a great change in the Spirit as the mustard seed of faith grows in you
DAY 65
Be weary and on guard, that you never become arrogant; believing that you know and understand the ways of God and how He works in and through you. His ways are always higher, always greater and the best remains yet unseen. Have faith that He will act as and when He wills, in a way that He chooses. This will save us from reading our circumstances rather than relying on His promises.
DAY 66
Not by might nor by power but by My Spirit says the Lord! I have loved you... not because of what you have done, nor because of who you, are BUT simply because you were born. Nothing you can do or say or accomplish can change that. Live confidently in Me knowing I have bought you, and it had nothing to do with you... but everything to do with Me.
DAY 67
“I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” – Galatians 2:20 [AMP]
DAY 68
And if you keep to these precepts and keep and do them, the Lord your God will keep with you the covenant and the steadfast love which He swore to your fathers. And He will love you, bless you and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your land... you shall be blessed above all other people; and there shall not be male or female barren among you. Read: Deuteronomy 7:9-14
DAY 69
Our Father declared His name to be “I AM”. Do not dwell in the past for He is not there... He is not “I WAS”. Do not dwell, in the future for He is not “I WILL BE”, but dwell and fully live in the present; the here and now. I AM is there and His mercies are new this morning, and sufficient for today.
DAY 70
Look down at your hand. Look and see the talents in them today. Do that which is in front of you. Do this in faith and you will stay in His will where His Word will be enough light for your next three steps; there your faith will please your Heavenly Father.
DAY 71
I will lead you on the path laid out for you to walk... but you have to walk it. Just as the angel of the Lord lead the Israelites out of Egypt and to the Red Sea, they had to walk through it. Know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance and through this process you are made whole. Read: James 1:1-4
DAY 72
Faith is choosing to believe in Someone unseen as though He was seen, because of His record of faithfulness. “...For not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful.” – 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3 [NKJV]
DAY 73
In faith, Joshua walked around Jericho for seven days, and the walls came tumbling down. In the same way He calls us to place our challenges in front of Him, to walk around them seven times in humble prayer and supplication to our King and on the seventh day, at the seventh circle, with our hearts shouting in victory, He will let the walls come tumbling down! “So the Lord was with Joshua; and his fame spread throughout all the country.” – Joshua 6:27 [NKJV]
DAY 74
God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all, let His glory-light shine through our lives to bring into the light anything that is still in darkness so that we can become more and more like Jesus. “This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.” – 1 John 1:5 [NKJV] So let us pray, with David for the Lord to search our hearts and to lead us in the way everlasting. “See if there is in me any hurtful way, and lead me along the eternal way.” – Psalm 139:24 [CJB]
DAY 75
We are not children of darkness but children of Light! Therefore let us be sober and put on the breastplate of faith and love and, for a helmet: the hope of salvation. He has saved us and He is completing the wondrous work that He commenced in us. “But since we belong to the day, let us stay sober, putting on trust and love as a breastplate and the hope of being delivered as a helmet. – 1 Thessalonians 5:8 [CJB]
DAY 76
They saw the promises, they were persuaded by the promises and they embraced the promises. Yet, this did not lead them to worship the promises but to declare that they longed for another country, where God is preparing for them a city. It convinced them that they were sojourners on earth longing for a better country; a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God. Read: Hebrews 11:13-16 God often gives us a promise; a hope while we wait. We have a choice. We can start worshipping the promise, or it can cause us to turn earnestly to the One who made that promised.
DAY 77
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him; for He that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarded of them that diligently seek him.” – Hebrews 11:6 Believe that He is who He says He is. He is who His Word has revealed Him to be. Not even He can change that, for He is unchanging. Rest confidently in Him.
DAY 78
She received... because she judged Him faithful who had promised! God is faithful. God IS faithful. God is FAITHFUL. Read: Hebrews 11:11
DAY 79
“...let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.” – Hebrews 12:1-2 [NKJV] He is the giver of LIFE and salvation belongs to Him! We can only do our preparation with diligence, to run our race, but victory and salvation belongs to Jesus Christ our Messiah! Read: Proverbs 21:31
DAY 80
Turn your eyes upon Jesus, and keep your eyes upon Jesus! “By faith he forsook Egypt not fearing the wrath of the king, for He overcame by seeing Him that is invisible.” – Hebrews 11:27 [NKJV] Believe in Christ, have faith in Christ until the reward to come becomes more real to you than that which you and see here and now.
DAY 81
Count your many blessings! Our Father’s track record of being faithful is never ending. It is when we look back and recount the glimpses of hope, the answered prayers, the supernatural provision, and the SHALOM peace, that our faith is fuelled. Each day the mustard seed grows more and more into a tree.
DAY 82
“But God is so rich in mercy and loves us with such intense love that, even when we were dead because of our acts of disobedience, he brought us to life along with the Messiah — it is by grace that you have been delivered. That is, God raised us up with the Messiah Yeshua and seated us with him in heaven, in order to exhibit in the ages to come how infinitely rich is his grace, how great is his kindness toward us who are united with the Messiah Yeshua. For you have been delivered by grace through trusting, and even this is not your accomplishment but God’s gift. You were not delivered by your own actions; therefore no one should boast. For we are of God’s making, created in union with the Messiah Yeshua for a life of good actions already prepared by God for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:4-10 [CJB]
Our works towards building our faith is in vain until we realise even our faith is a gift from God! He will complete the work that the Workman has started in us. All we do is turn to Him and lay down more and more of ourselves to build capacity for more and more of Christ in us, the hope of glory! Read: Colossians 1:27
DAY 83
Spend a minute to consider who and what you love, and what protects them... a fence, an alarm, a perimeter wall? How much faith do we put in the things that we can see? Yet, they all will pass. How much more will our Heavenly Father provide, protect and restore? His track record is impeccable. Let us choose again to put our faith in that which is unseen. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1 [NKJV] God created the entire universe out of that which was not seen, and we look at it now and choose to believe.
DAY 84
The Father’s love draws us to hope. Hope sparks a longing for something that cannot be satisfied in this world. Faith makes us reach out for this new world although it looks vastly different to the world in which we live. Faith is not a rational thought, nor is it a feeling. Faith is being constantly convinced that God is who He says HE is, and that what He says is truth.
DAY 85
As soon as faith gets ignited in us, it starts manifesting out of us through works. Faith that is fuelled explodes and has no option but to start oozing works. We don’t produce works so that we can prove that we have faith, but because of our faith! And so the world will see the great works Christ has commenced in us. Read: James 2:14-26
DAY 86
Never underestimate the power of a grateful heart. It is soft mouldable clay in the hands of the Potter and dynamite to the enemy.
DAY 87
My desire is for you to come up here and spend time with Me on the mountain in the Holy of Holies, in My heart, until My glory is reflected through you.
DAY 88
“For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations.” – Psalm 100:5 [AMP]
DAY 89
I make all things new! New mercies, new revelation, new hope, a new life in Me. You have planted a mere seed of faith in Me, but as you remain in ME I will remain in you, and I will turn your faith-seed into a tree where nations will sit in the shadows thereof. Read: Revelation 21:5
DAY 90
Nothing is impossible! Do not put your trust in whether it would be possible or not, choose to put your trust in the One who redefines the impossible. Read: Isaiah 7:9b
DAY 91
He is the Wind. We have a choice: we can be like hard dry sticks and branches that will break with the first sign of the wind, or we can be supple reeds that use the wind to create music. Supple reeds do not break in the wind, because they embrace the wind and they move with it. If we remain in Him He will remain in us, if we live close enough to hear His heartbeat we will move with Him and play our part in His opus.
DAY 92
Hold on, stand firm, push through, keep trusting, keep believing, keep hoping! It is in you, now let us see it working through you. Read: 2 Timothy 1
DAY 93
Faith is a trigger; a minor action on your part that moves the arm of the Lord. All we need to do is trust and believe the report of the Lord and that will trigger His provision, peace and security in every aspect. Read: Exodus 6:6
DAY 94
What does it mean to pick up your cross daily to follow Christ? It means to know Him in every situation. It means that you have made a decision to place Him first in your life, in everything, and that the way you live your life, the choices that you make, are proof to the world of the decision you have made to follow Christ. “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.” – Deuteronomy 30:19 Know therefore, that He has today placed before you life and death... choose life!
DAY 95
Come and sit at the feet of your Father and he will reveal to you the keys to His Kingdom; a kingdom built by God and not by man; a kingdom that will reign from everlasting to everlasting. “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” – John 3:5-6 Trust and believe in the things unseen when you trust and believe from your spirit, born of His Spirit. Read: John 3:1-12
DAY 96
‘Ruach’: breathe , wind, spirit. ‘Ruach-Ha-Kodesh’: Holy Spirit. He is as close to you as your next breath. Trust in Him, believe in Him and have faith that Jesus left us with everything that we need to empower us to live a life of submission to our King in this great gift: Holy Spirit.
DAY 97
Faith establishes relationship, by faith we know and believe that God is with us, Emmanuel and that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. We are free to live, free to love and free to devote ourselves to the One who paid it all: Jesus our Messiah.
DAY 98
Come with your patient faith, come into the silence, for I speak in the silence. Read: Psalm 46:10-11
DAY 99
I go looking for the one lost sheep. We pray Lord, that you will give us your heart for the lost. May we be in You as You are in the Father. May our faith shine to those around us as a glory light from You and allow us to go looking for that one lost sheep, in humility, remembering we were once that little sheep but You found us and gave us life!
DAY 100
We serve a great big God; a God who is true to His promises. A God that is to be feared, for He is just, but He is slow to anger. A God that rewards those who diligently seek Him. A God that is as close as your next breath. Keep yourselves humble before the Lord of Lords and drink often from His river of life, and you will be saved and you will feast with Him at His table.
