THROWBACK ALL THE LOVERS : BECAUSE WE ALL NEED A BIT OF LOVE IN OUR LIFE
This month in the Kylie Times, we decided to focus on All The Lovers, especially because of the recent attacks at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, but also around the world and which did many victims. The song, which celebrated this year its seventh birthday, is now considered as a classic for fans (and non-fans also), and gave its name to the community of Kylie, the «Lovers». The best first single from Aphrodite «All The Lovers» is the first single from Kylie Minogue’s 11th studio album «Aphrodite». This is one of the last songs recorded for this album, which saw the day thanks to a Kylie’s longtime friend, Jake Shears, who put her in contact with Stuart Price, the song producer. «All The Lovers» was also written by Jim Eliot and Mima Stilwell, who had already collaborated with Kylie on the album X, on «2 Hearts». The two songwriters wrote this song with the title «Human» by The Killers in mind, which was also produced by Stuart Price. For Kylie, «All The Lovers» sums up the «euphoria» of the album. It was also for her the best song to launch «Aphrodite».
are other songs on the album that are more instant singles, but we decided it was more important to come with a statement song. And I think ‘All the Lovers’ gets under your skin. I love the sentiment, and it sets a tone for the album.
When I recorded» All The Lovers «, I knew that this song would be the first single, it perfectly sums up the euphoria of the album. It gives me the goosebumps. My record company and I, our management and friends, we debated and deliberated for a while over what the first single should be. There 5 www.kylie-world.com

The song was first played on radio stations in England on May 14, 2010, but the single was officially released on June 11, 2010 in physical format and on the download platforms. In England, the title was released on June 13 and the physical version arrived a bit later, around June 28, 2010. Two B-Sides were included: «Go Hard Or Go Home», and a Spanish version of «All The Lovers», renamed «Los Amores».

FOCUS KYLIE X H&M
Summer is coming Lovers ! You know, that time of the year where the sun finally shows up, when it’s barbecue time, when we get sunburn, and when we can drink mojitos while relaxing next to the swimming pool (or the sea for the lucky lucky lucky ones). So this is the best time of the year to have a mega flashback to what happened in Kylie’s world exactly 10 years ago: the H&M LOVES KYLIE swimwear collection. Well actually, between H&M and Kylie, it all started in 1998, you may remember that she modelled their Christmas lingerie campaign (yes she was like on massive promo posters in the underground, so you can’t have missed her). But the real deal happened in 2007, when Kylie signed a contract with H&M for their summer campaign. Kylie admitted that she didn’t design the range herself, but that it was designed with her in mind and through her personal style. She mentioned that it was a great experience to work with H&M, adding « To me it is all about summer indulgence, effortless chic and lots of fun». The bohemian–chic range, which is meant to remind us of Australia and its landscapes, was out in all H&M stores in May 2007, and the really great thing about it was that: . 10% of the revenues spent on this line was donated to international charity WaterAid . the demand for the collection outstripped supply, all sold out within weeks, becoming H&M's highest selling celebrity range ever (even higher than Madonna's a few years prior).

• Introduction to H&M Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) is a Swedish multinational clothing-retail company : - known for its ready-to-wear fashion clothing for men, women, teens and children - that operates in 62 countries - with over 4000 stores (2015) - employing around 148000 people (2016). The brand also proposes temporary collections created in association with stylists (Karl Lagerfeld, Roberto Cavalli, Versace, Kenzo…) or stars (Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry, Lana Del Rey, David Beckham, Vanessa Paradis, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga). Besides Calvin Klein (CK.com) and American Eagle (AE.com), H&M is the only company of the clothing industry in the world which is a part of the ‘Internet VB.com Hall of Fame’ by possessing a domain name in only two letters. They also sell furniture and decorations. It’s the second largest global clothing retailer, just behind Spain-based Inditex (Zara’s parent company). H&M has a significant online presence, with online shopping available in 32 countries.
• H&M History In the 1940s, Erling Persson, a young Swedish man, goes to the United States looking for inspiration. He came back with the certainty to have found an idea that was never seen before: sell women's fashion of quality with unbeatable prices. In 1947, he opens his first shop called « Hennes » (which means « hers » in Swedish) in the city of Västerås in Sweden. It sold exclusively women’s clothing. In 1968, Persson acquired the hunting apparel retailer Mauritz Widforss, which led to the inclusion of a menswear collection in the product range and the name change to Hennes & Mauritz. In the 70’s, clothes for teenagers and children started to appear in H&M. In 1990, Stefan Persson (Erling’s son), became the CEO, and in 1998 he became Chairman of the Board. In 1992, H&M open its first store in Belgium. In 1998, H&M opens its 1st store in France (Paris). In 2007, the company made an agreement with the Video Games Company Electronic Arts : the brand appears in the extension kit of « The Sims 2: H&M Fashion Stuff game », having of course fashion as main theme. In March 2007, H&M launched a new chain of stores called COS (Collection of Style) in a store in London. That same year, China celebrated, in Shanghai, the opening of the first (after the Hong Kong one) H&M store of the country, and the day before, this opening was celebrated with a Kylie concert, where she was also promoting her range. In 2008, the company announced that it would begin selling home furnishing. There are now H&M Home stores located internationally. In December 2011, H&M opened its first store in the Maghreb in Casablanca in Morocco. Then, in 2013, H & M opened its first store in South America, more exactly in Chile. In September 2015, the brand launched 700 beauty products at low prices in its 205 stores in France before expanding it internationally. 45 www.kylie-world.com

• H&M Official Announcement In March 2007, H&M made an official announcement on their internet page, it’s entitled « This season's beach wear line from H&M - dedicated to style icon Kylie Minogue », and below are some snippets of the text. H&M’s theme this summer is Australia. A relaxed, sporty, beach-life feel mixed with the glam look and lots of shiny metallic. H&M pays tribute to sparkling pop princess and style icon, Kylie Minogue by designing a limited line of bohemian–chic beachwear with Kylie as a muse. The “H&M loves Kylie” line is part of H&M’s main swimwear range of 2007. “When we think Australia and glamour we think Kylie, who is such a stylish person,” says H&M’s head of design Margareta van den Bosch. “Also, she’s an internationally renowned recording artist whose effervescence and lust for life has inspired a generation of women”. Source: H&M group official site
• H&M Press Release (April 2007) « H&M makes a splash with Kylie Minogue in a new beachwear line » The perfect match, H&M’s key theme for summer is Australia: a laidback sporty beach lifestyle and glam is the big-hitter trend. So who better to personify this fabulous ‘relaxed meets disco’ hybrid than the Melbourne-born princess of pop, Kylie Minogue. “You only have to look at Kylie’s fantastic personal style to see how stylish she is, and she is such a sweet person. She was very enthusiastic in communicating what she personally likes to wear on the beach and showed us visual references like her own favourite 60s vintage bathing suit, which inspired the halter neck costume,” reveals Margareta van den Bosch. This concise beachwear line perfectly mirrors Kylie’s relaxed fun-loving demeanour as well as her show-stopping stage persona in a line that melds simple throw-on casual with glistening glamour. Think shimmering silver bikinis, vibrant water-inspired aqua blue and green swirl-print towels, bags and pareos as well as slip-on billowy peasant skirts. In homage to beach living the beachwear line is built around a swirling water-inspired aqua blue and green print, which appears on fluffy towels, crisp cotton-voile smock tops, the retro-cute halter neck bikini and costume as well as on a silk head scarf that doubles as a belt and a high-tech nylon beach bag that folds down into a natty silver wallet-shape. The Kylie beachwear line is a limited edition that contains 15 styles. H&M customers however, will not be left wanting when it comes to poolside attire. H&M´s main beachwear range pushes all the right trend buttons in a look that smacks of glam beach-life, where glinting silver and gold metallic play off graphic black and white animal prints, while sizzling hot hues of yellow, red and pink reflect the surfing influences. 10% of the money spent on the 'H&M loves Kylie' line will be donated to WaterAid. The international charity WaterAid is dedicated to the provision of safe domestic water, sanitation and hygiene education to the world’s poorest people. • Opening of store in Shanghai / H&M Launch Party - Promotional Concert On 11 April 2007 (day before the opening of the new H&M store in Shanghai, China), Kylie walked the red carpet at Shanghai Science and Technology Museum. She was invited to the launch party, and was to give a mini-concert in front of about 700 special guests to promote the H&M Loves Kylie Swimsuit range. This means that the lucky Shanghai shoppers got their hands on the H&M collection four weeks before the rest of the world. She arrived wearing a traditional chinese costume : a long cream cheongsam, blonde bobbed hair and a very bright red lipstick. Many fans were waiting outside to welcome her. The show itself : It took place in the huge glass sphere that is the building's midpoint. Arriving guests were serenaded by a 300 strong female choir singing acapella Kylie songs, before entering a glittering kingdom where the Science Museum’s 2,000 square metre floor was transformed into a shimmering sea of 100 kilos of Swarovski crystals. The star to spot became show-stoppingly apparent: At ten o’clock, to the sound of gongs, the choir (wearing silver H&M tracksuits) filled the steps of a magnificent 8 metres high Busby Berkeley-style tiered stage set and Kylie was elevated from below on a twinkling mirrored tower, wearing a dress and glitter belt specially designed by H&M’s Head of Design Margareta van den Bosch (with the same pattern as the one of her collection). As sang Come Into my World, twenty dancers sporting beachcool “H&M Loves Kylie” aqua print sarong dresses, bikini tops, head scarves and large shades danced on the silver stage in front of her. The show lasted a bit less than 10 minutes. So she performed Come Into My World (Fischerspooner Mix), Spinning Around and finally Can’t Get You Out of My Head (Showgirl version). The show ended with impressive fireworks outside, that we could see behind Kylie and all the dancers through the glass sphere, and then glitter started falling down from everywhere. 49 www.kylie-world.com

• The H&M magazine and the Kylie interview The Summer 2007 issue of the H&M magazine - that came out in French and English - is all about Kylie and Australia. And Kylie took part in it! She wrote the editorial and made handwritten comments here and there in the magazine and honestly, if you haven’t seen it yet, it’s really worth having a look at it (we love her comments!). It’s an 84-page focus on Australia that contains an 8-page exclusive interview of Kylie by her friend Kathy Lette, along with photographs from Kylie's personal family albums. It also contains many photos of the H&M loves Kylie photoshoot. You can read below the Kylie interview that is in the magazine. Enjoy Lovers !
Kylie In a celebrity world of self-obsessed divas and prefabricated pop robots, Kylie Minogue is a very rare thing - a self-made artist who is a down-to-earth diva. Although a queen bee, she works like an ant. Although movie star beautiful, she isn’t vain or demanding. She’s so famous that Madonna performed wearing a T-shirt emblazoned ‘Kylie’, and her duet partners include Robbie Williams and Bono. Despite that, she always puts her family first.

When she was diagnosed with breast cancer it resulted in a huge increase in bookings for breast screening – generally referred to as The Kylie Effect. And like any goddess, she conquered the disease and went back to business stronger than ever, resumed the interrupted Showgirl world tour and even published a children’s book – aptly named The Showgirl Princess. So why isn’t she pretentious and pompous like other superstars? Is it her Aussie background that keeps both her feet planted firmly on the ground while being one of the biggest pop starts on the planet with more than 40 million albums sold? We asked old friend, author and fellow Aussie Kathy Lette to get back to the very beginning of being Kylie. To the first trembling steps on the stage, leaving sweet home Australia behind and while being The Queen of Pop remaining Ms Nice. WORDS: Kathy Lette ALL PHOTOS FROM KYLIE’S FAMILY ALBUMS. HANDWRITTEN PHOTO COMMENTS BY KYLIE.
I’M IN MANCHESTER to see Kylie Minogue’s Showgirl tour and I’m overawed by the glamourous apparition that appears on stage. Coquettish, confident, sassy, scintillating – Kylie is a woman in her performing prime. For two and a half sizzling hours she struts her stuff, slinking around in a leopardskin catsuit, swinging from a diamante moon, writhing erotically in a harem outfit, and all the time singing her heart out to a capacity crowd. The air is thick with adulation. The audience is ecstatic. At her dressing room door after the show, she greets me in a towel, straight from the shower, all laughing eyes and honeyed hair. Even with no makeup, the woman is annoyingly pretty. Any other female as strikingly attractive as Kylie would be
so vain she’d install a follow spotlight in her own bedroom. But the insouciant K.M seems unaware of her own beauty. She shimmies towards me for a hug and then we sit down companionably to revive ourselves with hot soup and cold champagne. I ask her about her first ever performance. Was she always a showgirl? “I think my first performance was a ‘show’ put on by a dance troupe of five year olds. I remember wearing a black leotard with a yellow wrap-around skirt. We all matched. I recall being so nervous I stopped still in the middle of the performance. Well,” Kylie twinkles, “performance” is probably too gran a description, so let’s just say, the “display”! she quips, self-deprecatingly. “What happened after that I can’t remember, just the moment when I stopped…

And all the other girls kept filing past me.” She arches her famously feline brow, which frames those clear blue eyes. “The next performance I recall was at a piano recital,” Kylie reveals, warming to her theme. “My parents love telling this story” she adds, rolling her eyes, affectionately. “I had a great piano teacher who didn’t force grades upon me. I naturally learned music by ear and didn’t want to do the exams. I’d rather just play. Anyway, I entered some local competitions and on one occasion, I came second. It was the eights and under category so you can only imagine how small I was. I couldn’t reach an octave so could only play the top or bottom key. I was beaten by a Chinese genius who must have

practiced all the time, whereas I, on the other hand, only practiced before my lesson.” She cheekily concedes. “Apparently I walked onto the stage, sat on the piano stool and before I began to play, unprompted, looked over to the judges and gave them a big smile. To this day, I’m not sure if it was my piano playing or the smile that scored me a place. She smiles at me now and it’s like a camera flash going off, a 100 watt smile lighting up the room. Designers, dancers and industry moguls are hovering outside, bowing and scraping like 18th century French courtiers. She slips on some wicked little witchy boots and a Dolce and Gabbana denim dress with a fitted bustier, which she wears over a striped sailor T-shirt. As she meets and greets, I use the time to take in my surroundings. Backstage at a concert is not a glamorous affair. It’s a disheartening mix of cold, bare corridors, harsh fluorescent lighting, a graveyard of apple cores in cluttered ashtrays, grape cluster skeletons on tables, the gloves of banana peels on the floor and the ubiquitous threadbare sofa, which resembles a yak which has been dead for some time. But from this ciment gulag, Kylie has carved out a sumptuous girlie boudoir. In her dressing room, made cosy with candles and low lamps, we’re reclining on fluffy white sofas with leopardskin cushions.
After such a grueling show, any mere mortal would be curled into a foetal position of exhaustion, but Kylie is effervescent. As we talk, giggles rise up in us like champagne. Kylie has a huge life force, which belies her tiny frame. I wonder if she has always been so energetic? Was she ever a member of Underachievers Anonymous? Most Australians, me included, are so laid back we’re practically horizontal. We aspire to a job which lasts between say, oh 1 and 2 – with an hour off for lunch. But it’s hard to imagine Kylie sitting on her hands. I probe a little to find out what she did in her spare time, when she was a kid. “Oh I had many hobbies as I was growing up. As a four year old, I went to ‘rhythm class’. Basically it was a bunch of kids making a LOT of noise with music sticks, glockenspiels and triangles,” she mock shudders. “But from there I graduated to violin and piano lessons. I also took ballet, jazz and tap class, but only for about a year. I carried on learning and loving music into high school where I took up the flute. I found I took to all of the instruments really easily, although I never stayed with them for long enough to fully nurture the talent. I still have my certificates from numerous piano competitions I entered including coming second place in the “Eights and Under”. She gives a little chortle, curling her lithe legs up under her on the couch.

I press her on her work ethic. Kylie’s acting career began when she was 11, in the Aussie series Skyways, followed by the Sullivan’s and the Henderson Kids, then finally as the legendary Carlene in Neighbours. By 1986, she was a household name in Australia. By the time she was out of her teens she’d won five Logies (Aussie version of the Emmys). She has sold over 40 million records and all 43 singles have been worldwide hits. She is one of the few artists, other than Madonna, to have number one hits in the 80s, 90s and noughties. Kylie’s dad Ron, an accountant, is of Irish descent and so naturally musical. Her mum, Carol, was a ballet dancer. I imagine both parents leaning over Kylie’s cot whispering “Paper round”. But the Minogues are the opposite of stage parents. They did, however, instill in their children the importance of independence and self-sufficiency. “When I became a teenager, I used to go as often as I could to the local market. It was a ‘boot sale’ in a car park and I would arrive home with all kinds of things. It depended how much I had to spend (never very much) but I loved all the incredible things I could find there. I also learned a valuable lesson when our family had our own stall there. I guess my parents decided to have a clean out of the house and get rid of a lot of our junk. I was about 12. I took this very seriously and decided to part with my cherished swapcards I collected during primary school. It was a really big deal for me to part with them, but it was all for our family purse. So the orange Tupperware which housed that, probably two hundred or so, was sold. Fine. Later however, when I walked around the market myself I saw them on another stall with a higher price on them. I was so upset and angry as they were so personal to me. It’s incredible how moments like that stay with you.” She delicately spoons some soup, lost in memories for a moment. I find myself asking her what she dreamed of as a child and what she dreams of today. “I dream of love, open space, laughter, friends, inspiration, connection, learning and creating,” she replies without hesitation. I reflect on the fact that these are very Australian qualities. Growing up in all that light - the huge azure sky with its curlicues of creamy clouds drenching you in a wash of syrupy sunlight; the wattle scented winds warm as an embrace… it’s hard not to feel inspired and joyful. I wonder what it must have felt like leaving her beloved Oz for the first time? Isa, June 2K17
“Oh well, when I first came to London, it was for less than a week and for a long time after that I only every spent a short time here. So I never left thinking that I was ‘leaving’ Australia but my time here increased and increased and at a certain point I had to face it: I was living in London. I had to get a mental grasp on that which took a long time. Then I bought my first apartment in London and started to settle in.” She plumps up the cushions behind her and sinks back with a contented sigh. We reminisce about how Australians were perceived when we both first move here in the 80s. The British still saw us as the Irish of the Pacific; a recessive gene. We were the Illiterati – people who could only use the word “opera” next to the word “soap”. They felt sure that our record collections were criminal – not classical. And that an Australian’s main topic of conversation revolved around how long we had to go on parole. “And we’re proud of all our achievements, aren’t we? Convicts and all!” Kylie concludes, sipping her tea. As she indulges in a little nibble of Green and Blacks chocolate, we muse on how amused our ancestors would be to know that Australia today is considered one of the most fashionable countries in the world, producing a bevy of internationally successful designers, artists, writers, musicians, actors directors, cinematographers, poets, etc. I ask how she feels about our country’s dazzling transmogrification. “Oh I’m very proud” she reiterates, backing on the couch like a little lioness in the sun. “I understand the Australian ethos and love to see it appreciated around the world.” Australia was once only known for our sporting heroes. But of late we’ve proven that we also surf our brain waves. Does she feel part of the new generation of Aussie movers and shakers? “I feel I am part of a wave of Aussies who are doing well in the world, yes. But I’m much more impressed with those who went before me. Intrepid souls such as the opera singer Dame Nellie Melba’ she replies with typical modesty. “Then there are my contemporaries like the delicious Barry Humphreys, Baz Lurhman, Naomi Watts, Cate Blanchett, Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman…, with, no doubt, so many more to come.” I ask who she spends time with in Oz an am not surprised by her answer. “My extended family.” The Minogue clan are incredibly close.
Her mum goes on tour with her for example, her dad supervises the books and her sister, Dannii, is often up on stage for duets. I wonder if she acts any differently when she’s in Australia compared to when she’s in Paris or London? Are there different versions of Ms Minogue? “Sartorially, yes,” she confesses. “As I’m usually in Australia during summer, it’s the tried and tested basics - bikinis, sarong, flip-flops (what we Aussies call “thongs”), sunhat and ‘sunnies’. In fact, it is these basics that form the ‘H&M Loves Kylie’ summer range. Pieces you can find different uses for, like the scarf and sarong. In Capri one would wear the scarf ne way but in Australia it might end up being the replacement fan belt while driving down the coast on a surfing trip.” She laughs and I cackle along with her. We Aussie girls are very practical. How then, I wonder, has this wild colonial girl adapted to living part time in hoity toity Paris; a place where one needs a High Life Visa. Parisians can be so snooty. “In Paris, there is definitely a way to dress, which is very chic. I love the look of Parisian girls who have this ‘effortless cool’. They wear their fashion with just the right mix of ‘n’importe quoi’ and a knowing chic they just seem to have. Being in a city of such astounding culture and beauty, fashion, both haute couture and relaxed chic, is endlessly inspiring to me.” But London is her other home. Are the English cast off into Sartorial Siberia? “Oh no, not at all. London is known more for its street style, its avant-garde designers who are not afraid to rock the boat,” she says approvingly. “And I adore that edginess.” The bonsai songstress from the Melbourne suburbs is now a fashion icon for millions. So I’m curious to know when Kylie first understood that, in her line of work, it’s survival of the hippest? Has she always been interested in clothes and fashion? “Yes, always” she confesses, grinning impishly. “I went through many different fashion phases even before I was in the public eye. Now I get to do this as a job and it is usually still exciting and inspiring. I say “usually” because sometimes it’s the last thing I care about. But, I love the artistry, the creativity and passion that the great designers put into fashion. 61 www.kylie-world.com
It can be considered an indulgence, but it is an amazing way to project your personality or emotions. It is malleable, whimsical, traditional or experimental.” I can see her point. The good thing about being a woman is not matter how bad things get, we can always go shopping. But I wonder if she always looks so stylish. Does she dress differently in private? Kyle wrinkles her nose playfully. “I can be very lazy and adopt a ‘uniform’ so I don’t have to dedicate any thought to dressing whatsoever. That said, I could also wear a number of different outfits on a day that I don’t even leave the house. It depends!” It’s been several cups of tea and many hours in the dressing room. Now it’s 1 a.m. and we’ve talked so much our lips have lost weight. It’s like facial aerobics. It’s time to head back to the hotel. Buoyed up by the friendly fug of banter and bonhomie, we walk out in the night. Leaving the cosiness of Kylie’s dressing room, the menthol coldness of winter is upon us once more. The chill air nips at our faces as we gulp in the fresh but freezing air. The artic weather is one thing that we Aussie beach babes, used to basking in the balmy breezes of Oz, will never, ever get used to. “I’m always asked if I will move back to Australia,” Kylie volunteers, her huddled head emerging from her coat like a bandicoot from its warm little burrow. “I can only say that I miss Australia and cherish every opportunity I get to go home. As for what the future holds? We’ll have to see but I will always be returning as much as I can.” Of course she will. After all, that’s what “Kylie” means in Aboriginal – boomerang.

SUMMER HOLIDAYS ! 10 IDEAS OF WHERE TO GO ON HOLIDAYS THIS SUMMER Summer is coming and you still do not know where to go on holiday? You want to follow Kylie’s footsteps and discover the places she saw (and take selfies in those places)? Or, with a bit of luck to bump into Kylie on vacation? Here are some suggestions of places to visit during the summer holidays, and they are destinations for all budgets! Portofino - Italy $$ This is probably Kylie Minogue’s favorite destination for the summer holidays. For several years now, this is the place that Kylie choses to go to during a week or 2. Her friends from Dolce & Gabbana also have a house and a shop there, with special collections. Many boats can offer you to go to swim or dive. If you want to be cut off from the rest of world, be aware that this is a great place to relax yourself by having days which looks like sleeping - pool - sea and restaurant. However, the city, thanks to its charm, has become very touristic.
Hollywood sign, but if you’re not into sports you can just rest on the beach. And for those who like to stalk artists, there are bus trips which show you the houses of some of your favorite stars ! Bangkok - Thailand $$ Thailand attracts more and more people! Kylie has been there recently to rest for a few days with Sean and Christian. You probably saw, on her instagram photos that yes, Thailand, is really beautiful. We recommend you to admire the sunset on the beach, or in a small restaurant close to it. Another advantage of Thailand: the price. Even if the country attracks more and more tourists, the food is not very expensive, and you can eat in the shops in the streets of the city (well, pay attention to food poisoning and make sure there is at least a few people eating there already - if they look kind of sick it’s not a great sign). If you are staying in Bangkok, take the boat and visit the islands around: it’s worth a visit!
Los Angeles - USA $$$ Los Angeles is the city where many artists go on vacation. Most of the songs on the market are written and recorded in the Bay of Angels, which gathers many celebrities. Kylie Minogue had spent the new year there a few years ago, but also recorded and wrote some songs for Aphrodite, and for her upcoming album there. If you like to be between city and ocean, Los Angeles Paris - France $$ is for you! For the more sporty, you can walk to the 62 www.kylie-world.com

vorite cities! The singer goes there very often and even vance for the big nights, many shops in the neighbolived there for a while. It is always good to come to rhoods have them on D-Day. In the evening, some Paris during the summer holidays cause the city is guys even gives you wristbands to get in cheaper. empty of all Parisians, and believe me, when you live there this is happiness. The only drawback in summer is when the thermometer tells you the temperature is higher than 30 degrees in the capital. It is hell, and rare are the water points where you can refresh yourself. You are advised not to bathe in the fountains of the Trocadero, at the risk of catching still unidentified diseases (same thing for the Seine moreover, cause you can find unknown objects / bodies). You can however opt for a boat trip (much safer), and go and eat ice cream in the Tuileries Park!
Melbourne - Australia $$$ If you want more freshness, this is the time for you to go for a ride in Australia! In July / August, temperatures are around 10/15 degrees, which is perfect if you’re not a big fan of heat. And who says Melbourne says Australia, and says Kylie’s country! You will probably find many activities related to the fact that Kylie is a native of this city, such as a statue at her effigy. And above all, do not hesitate to taste the Australian food and especially their specialties, like the Lamingtons!
London - England $$ What can be better than where Kylie lives ? If you are in Europe and you do not want to go too far and get too hot, London can be a good destination! There will always be something you haven’t visited in this city. We recommend you the Brick Lane area, or, if you wanna go further away, the Hindu temple. And if you stay in London for several days, you can allow yourself a short day in Brighton, on its beaches that will allow you to really feel on holiday! Ibiza - Spain $$ Partying Lovers? We have the perfect place for you: Ibiza! We discovered the island for the first time when we went to Kylie’s concert in 2014, and we loved it! First, the landscape is beautiful. The island is not very big, you have buses to get around. Then, the food is at the image of the country: excellent but not very expensive. And finally: the clubs. You will be spoiled by the choice to find the ideal night cause there are so many at the same time. A tip: buy your tickets in ad-

Nice - France $
Sifnos - Greece $$
If you are looking mainly for the sea, then there is nothing better than the French Riviera in France! Kylie often goes there, whether it’s for the Cannes Film Festival or to spend some time with her friends, like last year with Natalie Imbruglia. Walks along the beach, days at the pool or at the sea and good French restaurants ... What better way to spend a good holiday?
And to finish, one of the destinations where we dream to go soon: Greece! Kylie Minogue went on holiday a few days with Joshua Sasse on the island of Sifnos. Small streets, atypical houses and crazy views will be here for you. To get there, we advise you to look at the cruise offers cause you can do several islands in a week, and also to have a look on the houses on Air BnB that will cost you probably less than the hotels on the spot.
Abu Dhabi - United Arab Emirates $$$ This may not be the best time of year to go there actually because of the heat. But everything is done in Abu Dhabi to make you feel good. It is a bit a temple of excess, because the city is able to offer you a ski slope even by 45 degrees. And in Abu Dhabi, there are always many activities to do when you have money! Quad rides in the desert or on camels, Ferrari World, safari, seaplane flight ... You will be spoiled by the choice! If you have not yet decided where to go on holiday, we hope to have enlightened you! We will be back for a new Kylie Times after the summer on September 15th or maybe before if Kylie releases her new single !

MORE INFO ABOUT THE NEW ALBUM... Kylie has been teasing lovers with studio pictures on Instagram and twitter for what feels like forever and the next era could be very soon! As we draw closer to a brand new Kylie album people have started to talk about what we could possibly expect, with some sources saying there could be personal songs about her breakup and others mention that this album could be Kylie’s most political yet -empathising on LGBT+ rights. All of which would certainly make a fabulous album - it’s Kylie, so of course it’s going to be fabulous! One thing we do know is that one of the songs for the new album was worked on by Sigala. Sigala is an English DJ, record producer and remixer. He is best known for his 2015 debut single «Easy Love», which samples «ABC» by the Jackson 5. It is rumoured that the song he worked on for Kylie could be the first single from the album. The song is said to have a spinning around vibe and Sigala says he is very influenced by the 90s. It is said that Kylie has wanted to create music that has people talking and to be very honest through her music. Well Kylie your lovers are eagerly waiting for what’s to come , and we are excited! 65 www.kylie-world.com

FRIENDSHIPS We asked you Lovers to send us your story if you have now a friend (or several) thanks to Kylie... And here’s some of them ! #LoversShouldStickTogether
JONATHAN, ISABELLE & OLIVIER My name is Jonathan, Kylie fan for many many years but did not have the opportunity to see her on stage, but, at christmas in 2010 my ex boyfriend gave me THE ticket. I finally had a ticket to see my idol, my icon and one of my inspiration (I’m a fashion designer). March,15 2011. Here we are!!!! woke up a 4 to take the train from Lille to Paris and finally arrived at Bercy, i was so excited, anxious to have the best place as possible. It was the first sunny day of the year in France. People from everywhere were talking to each other it was really nice. I noticed a couple, very sweet with glitter hats waiting just near to me. Isabelle and Olivier living in Strasbourg. They came to see Kylie for the X tour and for Aphrodite in Germany and Switzerland. it was really interesting to learn about their experiences with Kylie. I don't know what happened at this moment but it was love at first sight with both of them. We spent all the day waiting together and when the door finally opened we ran as fast as possible to have the best place and we got it. My first Kylie show just in front of the stage with two adorable people. We laugh and laugh before the beginning of the show and then it began. It was so crazy, Kylie was as perfect as she was in my spirit. The show was fantastic, the costumes, the water, the dancers....I enjoyed the show thanks to kylie but also thanks to Isabelle and Olivier who stayed with me. We shared this moment together, crying, laughing dancing, screaming and singing as loud as we could. Isabelle took me in her arms after the show, i was crying. But thanks to Kylie, god and destiny we kept contact on facebook. We met each other in 2011 and we're still friends in 2017. I never imagined i could meet friends like them in those circumstances. Isabelle celebrated her birthday one day after Kylie. We go on holidays together, they know my parents and i met their daughters and family. I am in touch with them everyday thanks to the social network and we still continue to go to see Kylie on stage. Isabelle and Olivier are my "adoptive parents" they give me positive energy, brave and strengh. Isabelle was also my first haute couture client and i can't imagine my life without them, without their kindness and love. 67 www.kylie-world.com

LUCY & CLAIRE Me and Claire first met through twitter as we both wanted to go to the Aphrodite les folies tour and buy a Splash zone ticket, neither of us knew anybody that would be up for paying the £200 so after a while of speaking and getting to know each other a little we had decided to go together. This was going to be our one and only chance to be down the front and close to Kylie. We seemed to find each other easily on Monday 11th April 2011 in the big open part of the o2 arena in London. We made our way to inside the arena to floor standing then walked down towards the splash zone area. I remember it felt so magical and exciting to be exactly where I wanted to be at a Kylie concert not miles back but up close and personal with my childhood idol and being with Claire made it feel all the more special. We hardly knew each other but didn't make a difference to how well we got on, the amazing night we had and the amazing memories we made. We have been friends for 5 years now and go to every Kylie event together we even met her together at the Kylie fashion harrods booking signing! All the Kylie experience's we have together mean everything to me and we have them all because Kylie brought us together and we bonded in the Splash zone!
STEVEN & SUZANNE I've met my best friend Suzanne Howe through our love for Kylie. She is my fellow admin of Team K Kylie page which we started in 2014. After nearly a year of chatting we met up for the first time in 2015. The best weekend of my life. She lives in Birmingham, UK and I live in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, so we don't see each other very often. We chat every single day and I try to visit her as much as possible. And we videochat occasionally. Can't wait for August when she's going to visit The Netherlands for the first time.
JÉRÔME I be can’t enough thankful enough to Kylie for the encounters I did thanks to her… Beautiful encounters with ended up in a big friendship for some of them. They will recognize themselves !

SARAH LOUISE & CLAIRE
Here’s myself and my 2 best friends Sarah Jane Gardom and Claire Noble all because of Kylie x
ZANETA & ALL HER FRIENDS ! It all started with the #kylieminogue hashtag on Instagram in 2014. I discovered En's account and I was so happy that I'd found another lover from the Czech Republic. We talked on Facebook and then we met at the KMO tour concert in Prague, where she also introduced me to you. It was my first Kylie show ever and meeting people who share my love for her has changed my life and filled it with amazing friendships. I've met many lovers from all over the world on social media, especially Instagram, and they never fail to brighten up my day. I once said that people in this fandom have the sparkle of kindness in their heart and I'm blessed to know so many amazing souls and to have met some of them in real life. I love everyone that is in this picture so much, but the same goes for those who live too far for us to meet. Thank you, Kylie. 69 www.kylie-world.com
