Kylie‘s show will NOT DO TO YOU: • give you up • let you down • run around • desert you • make you cry • say goodbye • tell a lie • hurt you

If I stopped making records or performing, I’d probably still be famous for a while being me. But I’d rather have something to show for myself. Kylie Minogue

Hi lovers !

After a two months break, we are back (and yes, we’re back a day later, but oh well...). If the summer of Kylie has been globally quite calm apart from a few small events in Europe, this month promises to be a little more busy with the beginning of the « Golden Tour » in a few days. Here the program of this Kylie Times : a review of Kylie’s concert in Hyde Park, the tour diaries of En who saw Kylie three times in two months (how cool), Isa telling you everything about «Tears On My Pillow », a setlist created by your votes for the tour, a focus on our dear French friends who are never happy with anything but also a summary of the latest interviews and news of the singer. We see each other on the tour and be ready for our next issue which will be about the « Golden Tour » ! xx Laeti (With the help of En, Isa and Mélanie)

THROwback CALENDaR SEPTEMBer 1988 - 2018

Let’s have a look back at the most important events in Kylie’s career through the years and that took place in september.

irst excerpt from Kylie’s sixth album «Impossible Princess » : «Some Kind Of Bliss ». It was co-written with James Dean Bradfield and Sean Moore and produced by Bradfield and Dave Eringa. After having released «Where The Wild Roses Grow» with Nick Cave, the Australian singer continued her musical transition by proposing a new concept of pop more « indie », with the support of her man of the time, Stephane Sednaoui, and with the help of her artistic director Pete Hadfield. Kylie participated in the writing of this song by using a process all new for her: the singer and James Dean Bradfield mixed the words written with others in order to obtain a unique result. This method follows the writing of « I Don’t Need Anyone », for which the singer, who was not satisfied with the texts from Bradfield, rewrote the song before realizing the difficulty of the exercise. Bradfield then decided to take sentences from his demo and mix them up with Kylie’s ones and that’s how the song was born. Finding this intriguing process, Kylie decided to reproduce it for this song. The lyrics are talking about being happy, even when you are away from family and friends. « Some Kind Of Bliss » was recorded at Mayfair Studios in London and mixed by Alan Bremnar at Roundhouse Studios. The music video was directed by David Mold and shot in the desert of Tabernas, Spain, with the presence of Dexter Fletcher. This track was performed on the « Intimate And Live Tour » and has been included in several compilations.

a La La... We do not present this classic anymore... Except for people who still sing « Na Na Na » of course. First single of « Fever », her eighth studio album, « Can’t Get Out Of My Head » is the most popular song of Kylie’s career. If it came out in September in England, US fans had to wait until February 18th, 2002 before it being released. Co-written, composed and produced by Cathy Dennis and Rob David, this track is a mid-tempo pop-dance song known for its hook with « La La La ». No need to notify that this song was a hit and ranked at the first place in many countries, even at the seventh place in the US Billboard, becoming her best track after « The Loco-Motion » in this country. The song has been certified triple platinum disc in Australia, double platinum disc in England and got a gold record in the United States (yes yes yes!). « Can’t Get You Out Of My Head » ranked 28th in the UK’s Best Selling Singles of the millenium and is her best-selling single, with more than five million units sold.

One of the reasons why this track was a real success, it is also for the video realized by Dawn Shadforth where we can see Kylie dancing in futuristic sets with a white suit quite open and low-cut. « Can’t Get You Out Of My Head » has been performed on all Kylie tours, except the « Anti-Tour » and the « Golden Promo Tour ». The song was also taken in orchestral version for the album « The Abbey Road Sessions ».

n September 8th, 2012, Kylie Minogue was invited to the BBC Proms In The Park to perform her greatest hits in an orchestral way in Hyde Park, London. The singer was headlining the show and was playing alongside other artists such as the group Il

Divo or Alfie Boe. It was the perfect opportunity for her to premiere her album « The Abbey Road Sessions », which came out later the same year. Kylie performed « Flower », a hit song that was eagerly awaited by fans in front of more than 50,000 people.

et’s celebrate the anniversary of a collaboration for the album « 20 - The Greatest Hits » by Italian singer Laura Pausini, with the song « Limpido ». Chosen as the first single for this best-of opus, the song received a nomination as « Best International Song » and « Best Movie Video » at the World Music Awards in 2013. It also ranked first in digital downloads in Italy and has been certified gold by the Italian Federation of Music Business. If you know the Italian-English version, there is also a Spanish-English version, and one in Spanish, which marks the second time that Kylie sings in this language, after the version of « All The Lovers » that became « Los Amores » in Spanish. Laura Pausini also recorded her own version of the track in solo. The music video was filmed in Italy, Rome, in September 2013 and was released on October 6th. We can see the two singers in a bath of glitter for certain scenes and for other scenes, they are dressed for Laura with a suit and for Kylie with a dress. This is mixed with the movements of a dancer all along the music video.

Chosen as the second single from « Light Years », this track was written by Steve Torch, Brian Rawling, Graham Stack, and Mark Taylor, and produced by the latter two. It was not originally intended for Kylie but for a Swedish singer called Pandora. However the composers of the track were not satisfied with the results and took it to the label Parlophone who recommended to try the recording with the voice of our Australian. This pop-dance song, which contains some disco elements, was recorded in London at Dreamhouse Studios and talks about experiencing unique night experiences, evoking the the-

This track also allowed Kylie to obtain a record: the one of having five singles ranking directly at the first place in Australia, country in which it was certified platinum with more than 70 000 units sold and silver disc in England with over 170,000 sales. The music video was directed by Douglas Avery and shot in Monte Carlo in July 2000. The screenplay is based

on Martin Scorsese’s film « Casino », released in 1995 and features Dutch actor Rutger Hauer. As for Kylie’s concerts, this track has been present in most of her tours except the « Anti-Tour », « For Me, For You » and the « Golden Promo Tour ». An orchestral version was also recorded for the album « The Abbey Road Sessions », giving another dimension to the song, for our greatest pleasure!

fter collaborating with Fernando Garibay for a short film entitled « Sleepwalker » featuring the singer on four tracks (while promoting the brand Sloggi) before her concerts, Kylie decided to renew the experience for an EP: « Kylie + Garibay ». The Australian also worked with Giorgio Moroder, who produced « Right Here Right Now », to deliver three new songs: « Black And White », « Your Body » and « If I Can’t Have You ». Garibay and Moroder took over the production, Kylie chose to include other artists, such as Sam Sparro and Shaggy.

KYLIE + GARIBAY

SEPTEMBER 11TH, 2015

This EP came out as surprise for our greatest happiness and puts forward Kylie singing more independent and less mainstream music. Only the song « Black And White » was exploited and has got an intimate music video filmed in France by Katerina Jebb. Some lucky people in LA have had the right to have a live version of « Your Body » with Garibay, Moroder and Kylie, but this is for now only live performance of any of the song of this EP ... We hope that our Australian will sing one of these tracks live soon!

fter the success of the albums with Stock Aitken Waterman and the PWL label, Kylie Minogue decided to work with a new team for her fifth studio album, « Kylie Minogue ». Signed under Deconstruction / BMG, the singer has collaborated with many people, including Steve Anderson and Dave Seaman from Brothers In Rhythm band. The first recordings took place in 1993 when several songs were composed, before the artistic direction of Deconstruction decided to take another direction, more experimental. Much of the album was recorded between London and Chippenham in England, as well as in New York. If the album remains mostly pop, other musical genres are discussed, such as some little more jazz sounds, house, techno. This is also the third album on which the singer has co-written tracks. Only three songs have SEPTEMBER 19TH, 1994 been exploited as singles: « Confide In Me », « Put Yourself In My Place » and « Where Is The Feeling? ». « Confide In Me » remains one of the most successful singles for the singer, reaching first place for five weeks in Australia and the second one in England.

KYLIE MINOGUE

The album has been a real success and has been certified gold in Australia and England. It came out in double vinyl format in 2016, and this, limited to 2000 copies. 400 new copies were added in 2018. 6 www.kylie-world.com

ourteenth and last tour (before the « Golden Tour ») of Kylie, the « Kiss Me Once Tour » began on September 24th in Liverpool. The singer chose to highlight six songs from the album « Kiss Me Once » and eighteen other big hits of her career including a cover of INXS «Need You Tonight». The concert began with the highlighting of Kylie’s new tracks from the EP « Sleepwalker », before a short break and the real start of the show. Six acts are worth noting, with a reminder on « Into The Blue ». The setlist was different depending on the events, for example Monaco and the iTunes Festival did not have a classic setlist because the audience was different. Every night, the singer let the audience make a request, a good way to make the show different every night. For the costumes, the singer appealed to Jean Paul Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana, Julien MacDonald and Marchesa. Kylie did total of 35 appearances with the « Kiss Me Once Tour », with 29 shows in Europe (Vienna and Germany were planned but canceled), 5 in Australia and one in Asia.

ne of fans’ favorite songs... « Flower » was written by Kylie and Steve Anderson, who is currently working on the various arrangements of the songs on the singer’s concerts and tours. This track was recorded during the «X » era, but was finally not retained for the album, even though it was sung during the « X Tour ». Kylie worked on this track after her treatment for breast cancer and said it was a love song for a child she may or may never have. This ballad has moved many of you, especially thanks to this instrumentalisation with pianos, violins, drums and an acoustic guitar. Fans were able to listen to this track in a studio version in 2012, after recording it for the album « The Abbey Road Sessions ». She performed it live at the BBC Proms In The Park in 2012, where she presented this opus. A music video was filmed and unveiled during Kylie’s 25-year career, where fans were asked to tweet with the hashtag #KylieFlower to unlock the video after 25,000 tweets. Namely, it was Kylie herself who made the video because she knew exactly what she wanted. In three days, she had reached more than a million views on YouTube.

SEPTEMBER 27TH, 2010

et Outta My Way, , written and produced by Mich Hansen, Lucas Secon, Damon Sharpe, Peter Wallevik, Daniel Davidsen and Stuart Price, was selected as the second single of « Aphrodite », Kylie’s eleventh studio album, thanks to the popularity of the track with the public. The singer describes it herself as being a very pop-dance track quite contagious as soon as you hear it. The song focuses on a frustrated and furious person, warning to her uncaring partner, indicating that she may leave him and start grinding away with another chap. And who has never made the small hand sign in concert? We totally agree ! Kylie delivered a very pop music video, directed by a British team called AlexandLiane, with projections by Frieder Weiss and filmed at Pinewood Studios in London. The song has been performed in all major Kylie tours since « Aphrodite » and is probably one of the singer’s classics. Namely, in 2015, the producer of EDM Alesso used a sample of the track for his single « Cool ».

M

any had hoped for a tour of Kylie in the United States and it finally happened in 2009! The singer did a real show for her fans, with the « For You For Me Tour ». Following the « X Tour », with which she played more than 80 dates, this series of concerts (9 in total including one in Canada) was something that Kylie was very keen on, in order to reward all the people who had followed her in North American. She even said that she had shocked many people by announcing these concerts, especially knowing that many fans in the United States are forced to travel if they want to see a tour. As many can not afford, Kylie decided to do a mix of her different tours, with costumes created mostly by Jean-Paul Gaultier, to make a best-of of her best moments on stage. The concert is cut in six acts, with a reminder of three songs for 27 tracks in total. The «For You For Me Tour» started in Oakland and ended in New York and was sold-out overall for each date.

: EXTRA SHOW n - The O2 Fri 28th Londo

KYLIE MINOGUE TEARS ON MY PILLOW Kylie’s next single would be the second cover of her career after « Loco-Motion ». Originally a track from Little Anthony and the Imperials, « Tears On My Pillow » was released early January 1990 although it had been recorded early 1989, in PWL’s London studios. The reason it was recorded so long before it was released as a single is because in February 1989, Kylie had recently signed up for her big screen debut in the Movie « The Delinquents » and SAW wanted her to contribute to the movie’s 1950s-themed soundtrack. Therefore, it made sense at the time to coordinate the recording of this song at the same time as the new material that would be used for her second album. And even though the nineties would prove to be very important years for Kylie - on many levels - « Tears On My Pillow » was her only Number 1 hit of the decade.

Focus • Tears On My Pillow « Tears On My Pillow » is one of Kylie’s shortest hits of her career: it only lasts 2 minutes and 28 seconds. Kylie said :

TEARS ON MY PILLOW February 1989 : Even though the filming of Kylie’s debut movie « The Delinquents » was still months away and the priority was to make new songs for Kylie’s second album, Stock Aitken and Waterman wanted Kylie to feature on the film’s soundtrack album. Rumour has it that originally, the film makers wanted SAW to remix some 1950’s rock’n’roll originals for the soundtrack, but Waterman refused to be involved, as he would have preferred writing some songs in a 1950’s style. « They basically wanted rehashed oldies and I don’t see the point » he said during an interview. He did agree though to make Kylie record one cover of a 50’s songs: it would either be « Tears On My Pillow (1958) » or « I’m Not a Juvenile Delinquent » by Frankie Lymon and The Teenagers (1957). Kylie chose « Tears On My Pillow », because it had been a bigger hit and also because it was more familiar thanks to an already existing cover of the song by Sha Na Na – in character as Johny Casino and the Gamblers – featuring on the phenomenally successful Grease soundtrack in 1978 (Kylie was a huge Grease fan).

« My version is quite true to the original. It’s very smooth and easy to listen to. Also, I wanted to keep the film as an acting piece so I like the fact that my song is not distracting during the movie, it just runs over the credits ». As planned, the song features on the soundtrack of « The Delinquents » and on Kylie’s second album… and it would be the final single coming out of « Enjoy Yourself ».

The B-side to the single (all supports except the US cassette) is « We Know the Meaning of Love ». This was a brand new track, recorded at the beginning of November 1989. The B-Side for the US Cassette is « Nothing to Lose », which would be later included in the « Enjoy Yourself » album. June 1989: Kylie had completed filming « The Delinquents ».

December 1989: The film premiered in London, and was released just before the Christmas period (21 The single could have been released for the 1989 December). Christmas period, because that’s when the film premiered, however its release was put back to January 1990. Indeed, Stock, Aitken and Waterman wanted to prevent Kylie’s single clashing with Band Aid II’s remake of 1984 festive classic « Do They Know It’s Christmas » which was also produced by them and which was released on 11 December 1989, so they released « Tears On My Pillow » on 8 January 1990 in the UK and Europe (February in Australia). 12 www.kylie-world.com

ORIGINAL VERSION AND OTHER COVERS The original version of the song was the first million-selling hit from the American doo-wop band Little Anthony and The Imperials (initially called « The Imperials ») in 1958. In fact, it was the most successful single of the Imperials’ doo-wop period.

• 2005: American Alternative country band Clem Snide did a cover for the soundtrack of the video game « Stubbs the Zombie ».

CERTIFICATIONS / CHARTS • UK: « Tears On My Pillow » entered in the UK Charts at N°2 and hit the top spot in its second week. It became Kylie’s 4th UK Number One. The song remained at number 1 only for one week, but stayed in the UK charts for a total of 8 weeks. The single was certified Silver in the UK.

It was written by Sylvester Bradford and Al Lewis. It became a Billboard Top 10 Pop smash, peaking at #4. It was also a two-sided hit because the B-Side « Two People In The World » also became a big hit. Although it remains the Imperials’ signature song, « Tears On My Pillow » was covered a lot!

Chart positions in other countries: • Ireland: #2 Here are a few of the covers: • Sweden: #3. Fun fact: « We know the meaning of • 1961: Covered by the American Pop Music trio of love » itself hit the top 10 in Sweden, where it was sisters « The McGuire Sisters » : then listed as the A-Side instead of « Tears On My Pillow »! • Finland # 5 • Belgium: #9 • Netherlands: #20 (stayed in the charts for 12 weeks) • Australia: entered at #21 and only peaked at #20 for one week • Germany: #31 • New Zealand: #33 • Canada: #35.

• 1978: Sha Na Na is an American rock and roll group, who appear as themselves in the film Grease singing a cover of the song among many others songs (« Rock n’ Roll Is Here to Stay », « Born to Hand Jive »…). Their version of this song also features on the soundtrack to Grease. • 1986: American R&B boy band New Edition released a Motown-Covers album including a cover of the song. In this version, Little Anthony himself appears as a guest vocalist. The single didn’t chart in the U.S. Billboard. 13 www.kylie-world.com

THE VIDEO This video was once again directed by Pete Cornish (if you don’t remember his name, he directed the « Wouldn’t Change A Thing » and « Never Too Late » videos) and was filmed in November 1989 in a London studio. This very simple video shows a mature-looking Kylie, wearing red lipstick and a Brigitte Bardot hairstyle. She is wearing a simple black dress.

• The B-Side « We Know The Meaning Of Love » doesn’t feature in « The Delinquents » but is inspired by the film and its « Some rules were meant to be broken » tagline.

About « Do They Know It’s Christmas » • The song was written in 1984 by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure after they had seen a report TV about the 1983-1985 famine in Ethiopia, and was first recorded the same year by Band Aid, a group composed of the biggest UK musical acts at the time. • The SAW version was recorded under the name of Band Aid II. Apparently Bob Geldof called Pete Waterman to ask him to produce and release a new version of the song in 1989 to raise money once again for the humanitarian crisis in Ethiopia.

• Band Aid II was composed of Kylie Minogue, Bananarama, Big Fun, Bros, Cathy Dennis, D. Mob, Jason Donovan, Kevin Godley, Glen Goldsmith, The Pasadenas, Chris Rea, Cliff Richard, Jimmy Somerville, Sonia, All along, she is singing in front of a backdrop on Lisa Stansfield, Technotronic and Wet Wet Wet. which we can see many small clips from the film. As it’s more or less a promo video for the film, it makes • Released on 11 December 1989, the single spent 3 sense that scenes from the movie were placed in weeks at N°1 of the UK charts and became the Christthere. mas number 1 single. It was certified platinum in the UK. It was also #1 in Ireland, #8 in New Zealand, #15 in Sweden, #17 in Belgium and #20 in The NetherDID YOU KNOW? lands. • January 1990: In the history of the British Charts, only 5 records by females had ever debuted at number 2 and four of them were Kylie’s (« Loco-Motion », « Hand On Your Heart », « Wouldn’t Change A Thing » and « Tears On My Pillow ») and one was Madonna’s (« Like A Prayer »). • The photo used for the worldwide physical release (except the US releases) was taken by Paul Cox. He was actually also the photographer for Kylie’s first cover page magazine as a ‘grown-up’ Kylie: The OZ Edge Mag in January 1990 (pics below) • Kylie and Jason recorded their vocals separately. However, they had to reunite for the London video shoot and it was the first time they had seen each other since their break-up. And at this point, Kylie had someone else in her life: Michael Hutchence. We’ll make a full focus on Kylie and Michael in our next edition of the Kylie Times. 14 www.kylie-world.com

ESPECIALLY FOR US : Kylie WAS INCREDIBLE IN Hyde Park

The singer delivered a show of over an hour alternating between classics and latest tracks from her album « Golden » but also adding some surprises including the presence of Jason Donovan and Rick Astley who have delighted the 50.000 spectators present in Hyde Park.

Focus • Hyde Park

T

he announcement was made in June, when Kylie was invited to Chris Evans’ morning on BBC Radio 2: She would be headlining the BBC Live In Hyde Park on September 9th in London. News that had all the fans going crazy! The perfect way to put us in the mood before the « Golden Tour » starts a few days later. Kylie was the headliner of the festival, but many other artists performed all day long, enough to keep us entertained until 8:15 pm. Lenny Kravitz and Rita Ora, All Saints, Boyzone, Manic Street Preachers... they were all eagerly awaited by the English people present. Unfortunately Carrie Underwood was not able to come due to her sickness she got a few days prior the day. The duo The Shires performed instead of her. After a long day of waiting, the last minutes before Kylie’s arrival on stage seemed to be hours, and anyone who was a little too close to you after eleven hours of waiting was making you crazy annoyed - yes sir, you, who were really sticking to me and telling me that you found me very pretty, it’s for you - the installation of the scene began, with the presence of a big disco ball hung

from the ceiling, the bright heart and high chairs for the dancers that we had already seen during the Los Angeles performance and the Voice one as well. The night had just fallen on London, the lights went off and you could hear the sound of the first notes of « Golden » (in a version much more country than the original). Red lights flash, the dancers sit on their chairs and then, nothing. The silence. A light comes on, Kylie arrives on stage from below with a long pink poncho and heels boots and looks to the 50 000 spectators here LIKE A QUEEN. After this first track, the singer removes the poncho and lets us see a pretty pink dress on the intro of « Spinning Around ». We will note some changes on the choreography, which remains quite similar to the « Kiss Me Once Tour », with more country elements. A technical problem was then suspected, the concert had to be suspended for a few moments but Kylie was able to fill in by interpreting acappella classics like « Got To Be Certain », « Step Back In Time » or « Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi ». Once this problem was solved, Kylie continued the show with « In Your Eyes », and OH MY GOD THE

NEW ARRANGEMENTS. The version is much more acoustic and light in terms of music which makes the track very sexy. This also leaves us thinking that we will have this arrangement for the « Golden Tour » (and that this track will be in the setlist - at least we hope!). « Stop Me From Falling » followed where the singer thanked the BBC 2 for supporting her on this track and more particularly on her album. « Can’t Get You Out Of My Head » was next, in a more acoustic version, with mostly guitar and drums. This new version of the track should also make its appearance during the tour and is quite interesting! It reminds us the one made for « The Abbey Road Sessions » in a little more rocky/ country way. At the end of the track, Kylie left the stage to change herself while her band continued to play a Fleetwood Mac track, « The Chain ». After this change of outfit, the singer came back on stage to perform « Especially For You », accompanied by a gospel choir, « The House Gospel Choir ». Jason Donovan’s absence was filled by Kylie’s vocalists and the audience. After the second chorus, the singer was looking for a partner to dance with her ... And that’s when Jason Donovan appeared! They recreated the exact choreography of their track, and Jason even sang a little bit (with Kylie’s mic because he didn’t even have his own as his appearance was organised so last minute). We then learned that Jason had cycled to Hyde Park to see Kylie and that her appearance on stage was decided only a few minutes before. The next song was « The Loco-Motion » in « The Abbey Road Sessions » version, then « On A Night Like This » with luminous reflections on the disco ball, which was reflecting on us, and it felt just like the mad crazy lighting effects during KMOT once again. Kylie then sang « I Should Be So Lucky » in acappella version, before saying that it made her think of something else ... She started singing Laeti, September 2K18

Rick Astley’s track, « Never Gonna Give You Up », also composed by SAW. The singer joined her on stage then for this super medley and Kylie didn’t allow him to leave after it was over: he was also to sing « Kids » with her! He thanked the singer when he left the stage for giving him this opportunity that made his evening and even this year. We jumped back to the album « Golden » and the track « Dancing », the first single of this album before the reappearance of

the gospel choir for « Love At First Sight ». And what better way to leave than to finish with « All The Lovers », a classic to ended up the concerts at festivals. Even though the wait was long all day long, the show was well worth it and Kylie delighted the 50,000 spectators. This gave us a taste of the tour with the new arrangements and choreographies, and we can not wait to see it all on September 18th in Newcastle!

Focus • Hyde Park

KYLIE MINOGUE ON STAGE IN HYDE PARK Kylie Minogue has made numerous appearances in Hyde Park for various concerts and events, including a few she headlined. Here is a small summary of all these dates.

JULY 2000 PARTY IN THE PARK

K

ylie’s first concerts in Hyde Park, « Party In The Park » in July 2000 for « Prince’s Trust ». It is a charity created by Prince Charles in 1976 to help vulnerable young people get back on track. It supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed and those struggling at school and at risk of exclusion. Many of the young people helped by The Trust are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or have been in trouble with the law. It runs a range of training programmes, providing practical and financial support to build young people’s confidence and motivation. Each year they work with about 60,000 young people, with three in four moving on to employment, education, volunteering or training. Kylie was surrounded for this performance by other artists such as Elton John, Bon Jovi, Christina Aguilera, Craig David ... She did a medley of « Step Back In Time », « What Do I Have To Do » and « Spinning Around » but this performance will not stay in the best of her career because the return of the music was foolish for Kylie, so she was all the time offbeat and therefore next to the music even if she was singing well... The performance is available on Dailymotion if you want to see that, but it’s more painful than anything else ...

The singer, a big fan of the group, had also declared before the concert that this evening was like a dream come true. « Their music has played such a great part of my life from a very early age and I’m thrilled I’ll be able to share that with them personally », she added.

SEPTEMBER 2012 BBC PROMS IN THE PARK

The Voice

Kylie would be at the Voice Kids!!! YAYYYYYYYY…. Having my people at the right place, I knew I was going to get a ticket, and I made my friend cancel her family day to come with me. It’s Kylie, after all! Woke up at 5 in the morning the day of the show because as they tend to at the Voice, they separated the finale into two shows - the live one, and pre-recorded performances. Pre-recorded one started at about 10 in the morning and Kylie was going to be in that segment… at least we thought so. Having been at the Voice recordings so many times, I was so sure about it I didn’t even bother asking anyone, even though I easily could have. And so I dragged myself out of the bed that early and my friend as well, and off to the Elstree studios we went. We got there really early, stuffed our faces with coffees that we needed very much, and joined the queue. We got the absolute dreamed seat right in front of the coaches chairs, giving us great view of the stage as well. And guess what. Kylie was not in. „I told you she was gonna be live, she is always live!!” Charlotte, my friend, yelled at me.

“SHE IS NOT, NO ONE EVER IS AT THE VOICE!!!”

I yelled back. And so we decided to get some gin in the meantime before we would be let into the studio again. We actually got plenty of gin - just as you do, in the queue for the voice KIDS, right. And they opened the door about an hour earlier than they were meant to, and so our gin ended up in their bin and we were definitely being judged. We spent another good two hours sitting in the waiting room, and we were absolutely exhausted. It feels like you don’t do that much, but basically you wait somewhere for the whole day - first in the queue, then the waiting room, then in front of the actual studio before they let you at your seat, than at your seat, during commercial breaks, and all that…and that really sucks the energy out of you. It’s really not as great as it seems being in the audience of some tv show. It was absolutely awesome when Kylie was the coach herself because you would get so much time “with her” but for one performance, it was pretty exhausting. Don’t get me wrong, I would do it all again, but I’m just pointing that out. For the second time, we got seats right behind the coaches, but this time in the third row and we had a bit of a blocked view. To my greatest pleasure I was not wrong about the performances ALWAYS being pre-recorded, because right when we got in, before the actual live show would start, they informed us Kylie would be the first thing we would see that evening. Shortly after they introduced her, she did Golden and me and my friend went ALLLL CRAZYYY. We danced our lives off, and it was fun. She stood right in front of us chatting to the coaches and taking selfies with them during the break, and then she jumped on the stage again and did Golden again. YAY! Then she said goodbye and left, and after that the real live show begun. We left the building with a complete Kylie-mood and high on, singing in the streets and having fun, being left super excited for the tour to begin. What a great - and tiring - day it actually was!

A billboard we met on the way to the Elstree studios. Coincidence? :)

Muppet show in the 02!

Oh wow, months later I am still shocked at the fact that I actually willingly attended a Muppet live show and paid real money for it. Let’s get into how that happened because yes, I feel like I need to explain that even to myself once again. It was friday the 13th and I woke up in the morning deciding I would have an absolute awesome day. For most people it’s scary, but I feel so alive these “unlucky” days and I never know why. I did not know anything about the show, not even that it was happening. Call me a fake fan, but somehow I missed the whole thing. It was 4pm, 3 hours before the show would start and I was just waiting for a lift at work on my way out when Laeti sent me a message saying “Omg the Muppet thing is today, Kylie got from Spain really fast!. “What Muppet show?” I wondered. “She’s performing with Muppets, idk” “Where?” “The O2” KYLIE IS GONNA BE IN THE O2 TONIGHT AND I HAD NO IDEA?!!!!!!! To be fair, I had moved to London only a few weeks before that and I was a bit of an unorganised mess (how else would I have had no plans for a friday night…). The cheapest tickets were about 50 pounds and even though Laeti told me to go just for the jokes, I was hesitating… until I had the idea to check viagogo. 10 pounds for a pretty good spot. Huh, going. I rushed home, super quickly changed and put my make up on, ran back to the train station and down the shopping centre to find a place where I could get my ticket printed. The guy who did it for me was totally judging me. “One ticket to the Muppet show on friday, ok, sounds like so much fun” “Listen, I’m going there for Kylie, OK?” I tried explaining myself, but he was not getting any of it. Anyway, I got my ticket and ran to the O2 to be there on time. Obviously it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t mess up something. I got there for the time when the doors were opening, not the time of the actual beginning of the show. And so I spent an hour and a half listening to a guy seated next to me talking nonstop about his favourite muppets and sketches. “They’re doing the pigs in the universe too”

photos by @del1997 and @i_am_gregg on instagram

Wow, how did I get here, I wondered, trying to mask the fact I had absolutely no clue what he was on about. It was such a relieve when the show started. At least I thought so for first 30 minutes. It was actually surprisingly funny, I still didn’t understand how come the room was mostly filled with adults and barely any kids, but ok, whatever… But yeah, my excitement dissapeared shortly after… It got boring, long and just too much. And so I started live streaming on instagram and moving closer and closer to the stage by empty chairs (lol). By the time when Kylie got on stage, I was good two and a half sectors closer. “Do we have any pop stars in the audience???” *Kylie walks up, is on stage for about two minutes, doesn’t sing, and dissapears * WOW, if I sat through this whole thing just for that, I though… thank GOD I did not. She came up again at the very end, to sing Rainbow Connection and the long encore with the rest of the cast, she looked great and somehow it made it worth it. There’s nothing like randomly seeing Kylie on a friday night.

Anyway, 10/10 reccomended if you want to do similar stupid stuff with your friend and get slightly tipsy before it starts, about 5/10 when you go alone. LOL.

September 9th,2018

Radio 2‘s HYDE PARK show! Before I even start talking, let me tell you something. You might not even want to read this. If you head over to our webpage/facebook page, you can find a vlog from that day that will most likely give you a way better image abut what the day was like.

For those of you who still pretend written tour diaries (or speak french), here we go!

It was a saturday evening when I rushed to Victoria’s station in London to pick up my best friend, Laeti, who was coming by bus from Paris. We were gonna see Kylie the next day, whoop! Of course, her 9h long bus journey took a bit longer than that - the bus was running late. Expecting her by the Coach station, I waited and waited and kept on checking her location on the map. “I’m here, where are you?” she texted me. Of course, I was waiting at the wrong place, the location also showed me a wrong place and it took us good half an hour to actually find each other… LOL, FEELS JUST LIKE THE TOUR TIMES, I thought. Super excited and super tired, we went to pick up some food and went home, just so we could fall asleep ASAP, just so we could wake up ASAP, just so we could start queuing ASAP to have a good front row spot. When our alarm went on early in the morning, we were like NOPE. Not doing this. And slept some more… When we finally made it out of bed, got ready and took the tube to Hyde Park Corner, it was a bit past 10am… While searching for the main entrance, our friend James sent us a message saying HURRY, PEOPLE ARE ALREADY GET TING IN. We sprinted, followed by the sound of Kylie’s soundcheck, and made it in just on time. To our surprise, we did manage to get a front row spot that we were not even aiming for anymore… super far away on the right side of the stage, but to be fair, it was what dreams were made of - no people around us, no one pushing, no panic, no stress. Goals, fam. We got food, coffee and loved life. First performance started in a bit - Lenny Krawitz. He was fab. So was Rita Ora, but right after her it went a bit down the hill… to be fair, the only ones whom I really enjoyed in the later afternoon were All Saints who absolutely killed it and I LOVED LOVED LOVED them. My personal nightmare came true with Boyzone, but I felt like I was the only one. Everyone around was signing along, while I was wondering what I was being punished for. They were not bad, don’t get me wrong… no one really was too tragic during the afternoon (especially when I compare it to the last Hyde Park show and Kylie’s “opening act”, LOL), but a retro-boy band was a bit too much for me to take in. After them, I just shut down my brain and was not absorbing anything else until I saw a giant disco ball being put on stage. YAS!!!! KYLIE TIME!!! She came on stage at a quarter past eight, dressed in what Laeti calls a pyjama, looking fierce and we were LIVING. New version of In Your Eyes had us dancing like nobody was watching (techincally, nobody was because everyone was watching the legend on stage). Even La La La’s new version sounded pretty good! My personal highlight of the evening was Ricky coming up the stage because wow, to see Kylie and him singing a mash up of Never gonna give you up and ISBSL was an absolute life goal I didn’t even know I had until they did it at Kylie’s b-day party. WOW. They could have skipped Kids right after that, but oh well. (Kylie, are you EVER gonna stop singing this song?) Kylie’s performance was absolutely awesome and it was exactly what we expected and more (by more I mean RICKY!!!!). It was a great pre-start for the tour and we are now in a perfect Kylie bubble, ready to throw in some glitter and get to Newcastle in a few days!

GQ AWARDS

IN LONDON

A COLLABORATION WITH JAKE SHEARS ?

I

t’s been a while since we got to know that Scissor Sisters singer (Jack Shears) and Kylie were working on songs together and would have an album ready by the way. And this summer, he completed what we already knew with another statement, in an interview related to the release of his album:

O

n September 5th, Kylie Minogue accompanied her new boyfriend Paul Solomons to the GQ Awards in London. She appeared in a long golden dress alongside her man, who to remind you, is creative director for the magazine. Paul was very protective of Kylie the whole evening and they both posted a picture on their Instagram accounts with the caption « Date Night ». Among the winners of this ceremony, which celebrates the men and women who shape the global cultural landscape in style, politics, entertainment and sport, were : Prince Charles, Dua Lipa, Ralph Lauren, Chadwick Boseman and Harry. Kane!

« I love writing with her and always have. I’m really proud of all the songs I’ve written with her and I think someday I’m gonna, like, put together a Scissors-Kylie record. There’s a whole album’s worth of music. It’s from over the years. There’s some really cool stuff that no-one has heard. We could definitely put together a fun little album. Someday I’m gonna be shifty and leak it. She’s a great writer and I love writing with her, she’s great with lyrics. But it’s just like playtime, you know. It feels like play, not work. It’s just a nice time for us to hang out and be creative with each other ».

few months ago, a competition was launched by Kylie, allowing 15 people to win a meeting with the singer but not only that: they’d get to dance with her and learn the choreography of the first single of her album, « Dancing ». The event took place this summer, at the YouTube office, in a room full of screens with all the music videos of Kylie. The lucky winners took a dance class with Ashley Wallen, who has been working with Kylie since he was 17yo and has been on many tours. He helped the singer to learn the choreography - rather hard - of Dancing. The fifteen people present were first given some goodies, including a T-shirt with the date of the event on it and a water bottle from the merchandising for this era. After some stretches which were needed - Ashley taught them the first steps of the choreography, especially at the time of the chorus. Kylie then joined them to dance and answered everyone’s questions. To conclude this experience on a great note, the singer spent a few extra minutes signing the various CDs of each fan and took some pictures. « Wooshwales » - it’s his nickname on the forum SayHey, talked about his experience :

DANCING WITH KYLIE

« We all met at YouTube in Kings Cross and were each given a Kylie ‘I Wanna Go Dancing’ tote bag, an enamel water bottle and a ‘Dancing With Kylie’ tshirt. We were then all taken downstairs to the studio, where we met with Ashley Wallen, Kylie’s choreographer, who was lovely, fun and showed us the steps to ‘Dancing’ that we would be learning. We were then taken through them step-by-step (I then realised how bad my coordination is!!) and then once we’d got a hang of them, to do them along to ‘Dancing’ which was even more tricky!! After practicing this quite a few times, Kylie then came in, said hello to us all and introduced us to the live stream which was going out on Facebook. Kylie joined in with us for a few times, which was quite surreal, to find yourself standing next to Kylie, dancing!! After that, we all sat and had a chat with Kylie and had a Q&A for about 45 minutes. Kylie was lovely; gracious, friendly, funny and very chatty. From our Q&A, Kylie revealed: the Golden tour (it’ll be in two halves....there will be an interval), teased us a little about what the next single would be, we talked about her favourite videos to make, her choreography, costumes, post-show regime, her current musical earworms, whether there would be another anti-tour (never say never!) amongst other things. After this, we had a few group photos and Kylie signed some items for people, (one of which was an awesome Enjoy Yourself cardboard cutout). I also got a chance to give her a thank you card for what was such a fantastic day. »

VOGUE BIRTHDAY

IN MADRID

KYLIE IN GLASTONBURY ?

I

O

n July the 12th, Kylie was invited to the 30th anniversary of Vogue magazine in Spain at Casa Velazquez in Madrid. The singer appeared in a beautiful green dress with stiletto heels, and what drew all the comments and attracted all the attention, it is the fact that Kylie was at the same event as her ex, Andres Velencoso. They both looked very happy to see each other from what we saw in photos and videos. During the evening, Kylie sang « Can’t Get You Out Of My Head », surrounded by a group of dancers, including a woman dressed up as a birthday cake (wow I know). When the singer finished her performance, Andres came to pick her up from the stage, took her in his arms and lifted her off the ground. SO CUTE !

n a recent interview, Kylie Minogue said she would accepted the invitation if Glastonbury asked her to headline. As a reminder, the singer was chosen to sing at the closing evening in 2005 and had to cancel it to be able to treat breast cancer. She still participated to it in 2010 with a surprise appearance alongside The Sisters Scissors. Kylie would have been the first woman headlining the festival. She said it would be very emotional if she was invited to it and could offer the show she did not give a few years ago. Let’s cross fingers to see her there soon!

Poll • September 2018

What is the perfect setlist ? We asked you to vote for the tracks you would like to hear during the « Golden Tour » in order to create the perfect setlist ... Which is here !

Golden

« Golden » has opened all concerts so far and this should continue on the official tour! What could be better than this track to start the show? It defines the new, more country side of the singer.

Can’t Get You Out Of My Head

What would a concert be without « Can’t Get You Out Of My Head »? Even if Kylie did not sing it during the promo tour, it seems normal that this track will be on the setlist for the tour, first because it’s her biggest hit and that people who are not fans and come for the show want to hear this title, but also because a new version has been performed in Hyde Park. And we can’t wait to hear it again!

Cowboy Style

The country universe of the singer has brought out some tracks which are rather random, but would go perfectly with the dna... such as « Cowboy Style » for which many of you voted!

Sincerely Yours

Written by Kylie for her fans, this song is kind of a declaration of love for her audience. The singer performed it during the promo tour and hopefully will sing it again on the « Golden Tour », which would definitely deliver a nice moment of emotion for all the fans present.

Lost Without You

Among the bonuses of the album, « Lost Without You ». Kylie confided in several interviews that she would really like to sing this song live, which should happen because it is a very popular one for the fans.

Put Yourself In My Place

Another track you want to hear: « Put Yourself In My Place ». We have some chances of having it since it was sung during the « Golden Promo Tour » and it appears on one of the photos that Kylie posted on her social networks to tease the tour.

A PERFORMANCE WITH THE MUPPETS

O

n July 13th, Kylie Minogue was invited to share the stage with Muppets for the first of their two live shows at the O2 Arena. Based on the success of their 80s television show, Kermit and all his friends have for the first time presented their show in the London venue. There was many sketches on the program but also musical performances with guests ... including Kylie Minogue! The singer performed two songs alongside the Muppets: « Mahna Mahna » and « Rainbow Connection ». For the first track, the lights went on Kylie, sitting in the audience, before she joined the scene to sing « Mahna Mahna » in the middle of it with a small variation on her side, which led to a shocked look from the Muppets who did not understand what was happening! She also played Rainbow Connection alongside David Tennent (who plays Doctor Who). The next day, the Steps were invited to the show. If you want to review this performance, some videos are available on YouTube!

GOLDEN AT THE VOICE KIDS

S

pecial guest for the finale of The Voice Kids in England on July 21st, Kylie took the opportunity to present her new single and third extract of her album, «Golden». The singer was very happy to meet the family of The Voice, a few years after being a coach herself in England and Australia. She was able to catch up with Will.I.Am, who had shared this adventure with her. Wearing a golden dress (enough to stay in the theme of her song) our princess pop appeared on the set, for the first (and the only one it seems to us) TV performance of « Golden ». Accompanied by her dancers, sitting on high chairs before joining her, the singer set the stage on fire! She recorded the song twice, in order to keep the best of both versions. At the end of the performance, Kylie gave a short interview where she talked about her album and her upcoming tour.

This date was held as part of the Veneto Jazz Festival, which ran from July 10th to 28th. Among the other artists present that evening with Jack Savoretti, we note the presence of Imelda May, Enrico Giaretta and Kurt Larsen. Focus • Golden Tour (Europe)

And it was this summer’s surprise for European fans: the announcement of Kylie’s tour dates! It is a part of the « Golden Tour », but a different name has been chosen: « Kylie Presents Golden », same name as for the promotional tour of March. Are we going to have the same concert? Is it a mix between the two tours? For the moment we don’t really know the answers, but a mix of both shows seems to be the most likely option. Still wondering if you’re going to go? Here is some information about the various concerts, the packages and capacities of the arenas and wether there’s still some tickets left !

ALL THE HATERS # FRENCH PEOPLE Yes, they are back and we did not miss them! Following the announcement of Kylie’s concert dates for her European tour, we many reactions from fans, especially about her coming to France. Here is a small summary of some of the best ones. Lol. #1 - She is only doing a show When the date was confirmed, the first reaction of the fans I saw on the social networks was: oh she is not coming to my hometown. Too bad she does not come to Lyon. Why does she not come to Montpellier? She could have done the Zenith of Strasbourg anyway! Before seeing other messages: pfff it’s so bad it’s only a show! Hey hey hey guys ! Ok Kylie is only doing one date, but she IS coming to France, and that itself is cool. Look at the other dates, and think of the Spanish people who are a super-strong fan-base of Kylie and don’t have any show in their country…

#2 - The arena is shit Kylie will sing at La Seine Musicale, a new venue that has recently opened in Paris and has a capacity of 6,000 seats, which corresponds more or less to the capacities of the other arenas of this European tour. So will you tell me, Laeti, why do people say this room is shit when it’s new? And quite simply because our dear French friends are not happy that she does not do Bercy, whereas they will see her much more closely than at Bercy. But Laeti? Why NOT Bercy? Because Kylie did not sell enough to fill Bercy. But Laeti, Kylie still has success in Paris! Yes, Kylie has a great fan base in France. But when you book arenas, you also look at the number of album sales. For Kiss Me Once, Kylie had done Bercy even though she had not

Me happy that Kylie is coming here.

sold a lot of albums. The arena was almost full here, but in other countries, we ended up with 5000 people for arenas of 15 000. And at the moment, Kylie has still not filled La Seine Musicale and all the packs are still on sale. We are less than two months away from the concert. Imagine if she would have done Bercy? With the promotion in France that was almost nonexistent, there is no point in taking the risk and letting Kylie sing in front of an almost empty arena. And then do not be afraid because the room is located in Boulogne-Billancourt ... Looks like typical Parisians who must pass the peripheral and for whom you need vaccines and their passports ... You will survive.

#3 - The concert is different, it sucks This tour is actually not called «Golden Tour» but «Kylie Presents Golden», just like the previous tour that Kylie did last March. For now, nobody really knows if Kylie will present the show she will do in England, if it will be the same as the one she did last March or if it will be a mix of both. What is certain is that our lovely French are not happy because they do not want the same show as last March, even if they did not see it because there was not enough tickets and they didn’t get in. Otherwise, knowing that Bournemouth 37 www.kylie-world.com

is the smallest arena that Kylie does for England and that it contains 4000 seats, we may wonder if the show in Europe will be adapted to the size of smaller venues. Maybe we will have good surprises and a mix of both concerts! I will not even discuss the topics of those who criticized the prices (what I can understand, 73euros for a normal ticket is still a real investment, hoping that we will have a bigger production than for the Promo Tour where the tickets were 100euros for a reduced production) - or those who have criticized the sale of the tickets and the site of GDP while overall everything went very well, but this article is more to denounce the people who are never happy and unfortunately, it’s always the French ones. We are lucky that Kylie comes to perform in France, welcome it properly and stop complaining, many would have liked to have her in their country. Think of the Spanish people, or the Australians who did not even see her for the promotion of the album ...

REEL STORIES Recorded in June and released in late August - YES, it’s the new show «Reel Stories» with Kylie and Dermot O’Leary made for the BBC that we are talking about! The host brings a unique concept: a cinema (with popcorn!) where Kylie will look back at the moments that have marked her career during the last four decades. Looking back with a mixture of pride, curiosity and occasional embarrassment, Kylie relives moments of her life - as handpicked by Dermot. Sometimes emotional, often bizarre, always fabulous, Kylie has lived her life on screen, but has never sat down and watched it… until now.

T

he show begins with an introduction with a mash-up of music videos of the singer, her appearances as an actress or even the moments when she sang in front of the Queen. Kylie explains that she has trouble watching or hearing the recent things she has done, she looks it with one eye and leaves then because she does not like to hear her

voice. On the first video broadcasted, we see Kylie with a cocktail in the streets of Melbourne, quite young. The singer is walking in the opposite direction of the camera and has to turn around all the time to talk about her city. She explains that she never really got trained on how she should behave, how she should act, which led her to have some embarrassing mo-

ments during those years, which did not prevent her from having a career ! We can then see Kylie in one of her first roles as an actress for « The Sullivans », where she is barely 10 years old. The singer is quickly moved by seeing these images. This is one of the first series for which she has auditioned. Her mom who worked in the bu-

siness heard about this audition and Kylie asked her if she could try it. She then waited until she was 16yo to ask her parents if she could play more roles on the television. The singer is delighted to see videos from Ramsay Street! We see her in a scene where she leaves Scott Robinson (Jason Donovan) crying ... which moves her once again! She does not even know if she saw this moment once in her life, but finds it very successful. Kylie explains that it took a long time to realize that many people were watching this series, as well as the fact that she worked with big actors because everything was quick and she did not have time to think about it. Leaving the series was a very hard decision to take. Then we go to « Locomotion »: the first thing that shocks Kylie: her outfit! (Yes, watching it now, we can find it quite… original!). She then sees a video of her interview with Olivia Newton-John, her idol at the time. She is very proud to have been able to walk in her footsteps. We can hear the chorus of « I Should Be So Lucky ». Dermot asks if the anecdote about the fact that the SAW team was not aware of her coming to London to re-

cord was true, which she confirms. Nobody knew that this track was going to be a hit. We also see her doing a TV set alongside Jason Donovan where they played their song «Especially For You». In Australia, she had no show like « Top Of The Pops », so she did not know how important it was. Pop culture was at that time much more important in England than in Australia. We then move on to the Kylie indie period. She explains that she followed the evolution of music and that it was totally different from the 80s, with more indie artists like Björk in particular. She admits that it was somehow a small miracle that she could have changed directions while being followed by the public. She is very proud of the track and video for « Confide In Me ». We see an excerpt from German Bold Italic, where Kylie is shocked herself and says she has never watched this mu-

sic video! Kylie said it was Nick Cave who asked her to participate in the Poetry Olympics, where she had to give a different meaning to « I Should Be So Lucky » in front of an audience that was not really her usual target. She was very stressed and until the last moment, she did not want to do it but it has helped her a lot for the rest of her career, including convincing herself of the choices to make. The singer is delighted to see her performance at the Brit Awards on « Can’t Get You Out Of My Head » which she describes as incredible. She explains that with this song, everything came at the same time: music, video and live performances. We end with the performance of « Stop Me From Falling » at the Queen’s birthday party, where Kylie says she is a big fan of her. If you want to see the whole show, it’s available on YouTube!

BILLBOARD

POP SHOP A podcast was released this summer by the Billboard: It’s called « Pop Shop » and it includes a 50-minute show talking about Kylie with a 20-minute phone interview. Two co-hosts were hosting the show, one in the studio and the other on the phone. If you have not heard it, the interview is still available on all podcast listening platforms, but here’s a summary!

T

he show begins with the presenter on the phone, who was at Kylie’s concert at the Bowery Ballroom in New York. He was on the balcony and said he had seen a lot of gigs in this arena but Kylie’s one was really amazing, because of her vocal performance but also because of the atmosphere in the arena. Kylie played more songs than expected, including « New York City », which does not really match the country vibe of her album, but also « Your Disco Needs You ». The hosts are quite disappointed that the singer is rarely in the United States because her concerts are incredible. They each choose a few albums of her career to play for those who don’t know Kylie: « Greatest Hits » is chosen to have an overview of her career, « Golden », the last album, « Fever », promoted by the host on the phone as one of the best albums of the 2000s or « Aphrodite », because even in an acoustic version, the tracks are very good. They then picked some singles such as « Love At First Sight », « Get Outta My Way », which is a very good track to dance on, « I Should Be So Lucky », « Loco-Motion » because it is her first hit, « Better The Devil You Know » and « Confide In Me » for everyone to remember that Kylie can sing this kind of ballads with strings. They even add that this song would have been perfect in a James Bond movie. Kylie then speaks on the phone, they congratulate her for her fourteenth single number one on the Dance Billboard. The singer says she is very happy about the reaction of the people for this album. She even tells us that it is quite different from what she could see with the previous albums because people react much better with the lyrics of her songs knowing that this album is much more personal and that she worked on writing tracks. This is a thing Kylie is delighted to have been able to do because she is still writing and declares that when it was time to choose the tracks that were going to be on the album, it was still complicated to make the decision because all that you want is all track to work well together. She also talked about the fact that she still goes to nightclubs but much less often than before where she went there every weekend or once in the week and spent all her night par-

partying. The « Golden Tour» was the next topic and the singer evoked that she already imagined what she could do on stage. She said she needs the live version of a track to somehow completely finish the song. She loves the magic and emotion she can create by singing. When she is in the studio she tries to visualize the live version of each song in front of 20000 people. Kylie said that the setlist is already done and that it looks good to her but that it can changed when you do the rehearsals for the concert. She explains that it’s complicated to choose among all the songs but when she started her career, she did not have enough tracks to do a concert and now she has too many! She also evoked the fact that for «Fever», the show was quite robotic, which was perfect with the spirit of the album, just like for « Aphrodite » which had a Ancient Greece side. Kylie explained that the tour will be based on the « Golden » spirit, along with other classics, and that there will be surprise songs for the super fans. Regarding the tracks, the singer loves to perform « Raining Glitter » on stage especially with the audience with whom she has a great time, and loves the «whoop» part. She also says she totally agrees with the fact that «Lost Without You» should be in the songs to sing ... before confessing that she will sing it live! She also came back to her tour « Aphrodite » which she really enjoyed, she says. The « Splash Zone » was the appropriate name for the vip pit because people could get splashed on during the show and confessed that it was easy enough to find the name of this area for this tour with the word « Golden ». Does this mean that it will be a central circle for the stage? Hum hum ! We will know the answer in a few days !

The essentials for the tour Who says tour, says essential objects to have with you to spend a concert at the top. As the « Golden Tour » is approaching, we have decided to give you a short summary of the essential items we will be taking in our suitcase for the tour. A BLANKET

A small waist bag

Ideal in all circumstances, the plaid is an essential accessory for anyone lining up to have a great place for the concert. If it’s hot, it will be useful on the ground so you can lie on it and tan in the sun. And if it’s cold, what could be better than to wrap yourself in it?

We believe the object was totally outdated, but since many fashion influencers have posted pictures with it on their social networks, the waist bag is back as a trend! And we will not hide it, it’s still super convenient for concerts. No need to have a big bag with you, anyway apart from your ticket, your phone and your charger, what do you need? Following the various attacks, the arenas are limiting the big bags. You will get through the security faster with your little bag. And it would be great if Kylie could put a bag like that in the merchandise!

SOME GLITTER Well, of course, guys, we’re going to a Kylie c o n c e r t ! Several options are available: either you put glitter on as makeup (it works for you gentlemen, if you see us in the queue by the way do not hesitate to come to see us, it will be a pleasure to do your makeup), in your hair, on your clothes ... The possibilities are endless but with this album, you are forced to wear some !

A FATBOY Inflatable Hammock A REVOLUTION. We discovered this object when the Kiss Me Once Tour was finished, and we found it so good. These hammocks swell in the air (in other words you run with it in your hands and it will inflate with the air that you put in it - yes you look really stupid for a few seconds but after that you’re gonna be the king) - and allow you to rest quietly in the queue for Kylie. You can even take a nap if you have not slept enough the night before, how cool is that ? (Especially while the others are sitting on the uncomfortable floor).

A GLOW STICK

MONEY Because yes, we will not lie, we always know that we will buy merchandising during the tour!

Or anything bright. It’s always fun during the concert to see lit things and it’s also handy if you’re afraid of losing your friends in the audience. En had heart-shaped lit-up glasses for the last tour, and believe me, there was no possibility to lose her in the arena.

Kylie Reactions • September 2018 When you see a handsome guy on the beach

Visiting a city like ...

Me when I find a Kylie promo banner poster in the streets

When you try to pick what you are gonna wear tonight

When you wait for your food order to be delivered

And that you see him a few meters away

When you try to calm down your ex because his other ex has someone new in her life

When you lost your earring on the carpet

When you hear a Kylie track in a shop

Me when I’m annoying my neighbors and vacuuming in heels at 11pm as we all do

When Kylie arrives on stage after 11h of wait

Me after 18h of bus, 8h of waiting and 1h of a Kylie’s concert

My best friend and I when Kylie gets on stage

When a stupid guy spends his whole day pushing me when there is no more space for the first row

When you pray to have YOUR song in the tour setlist

When Kylie removes «Kids» from the setlist
