44th Annual Street Rod Nationals Plus
The Street Rod Nationals Plus returns to the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center for the nineteenth time August 1-4. Over 10,000 vintage automobiles will drive to Louisville from all parts of the United States to be on display. The city’s largest vintage car show is presented by the National Street Rod Association and is open to the public. The NSRA expects an all-time high number of participants and spectators this year. Over 350 manufacturer and dealer displays and other attractions are featured. Attendees can experience the sights and sounds of some of the most unique vintage vehicles ever assembled. “Plus” has been added to the title of this outdoor car show to let everyone know there will be more vehicles, excitement, people, and fun. This is a national gathering of rods, customs, and collector cars of every description. The addition of muscle cars from the 60s and 70s and the classic cars and customs of the 50s brings a special mix
of both old and new cars for the first time. One of the special attractions is that visitors can walk right up to the vehicles and check each one out up close. Each car can be examined from top to bottom, front to back, inside and out. Additional events include famous car builder, Darryl Starbird signing autographs and talking about his book and the National Rod and Custom Hall of Fame Museum. There’s also a swap meet of original vintage automotive parts, and cars for sale or trade. There are non-automotive related activities for those who are not interested in cars. Kids can take part in games. Everyone can find something of interest at the Street Rod Nationals. The car show is open Thursday 8 am 5 pm, Friday 8 am - 6 pm, Saturday 7 am 7 pm, and Sunday 8 am - 3 pm. Tickets cost $14 for adults, $5 for children, and children under 6 years are free.
