Outpatient care

Pediatrics

With an increased understanding of many mental and behavior health conditions that require spaces with adjustable levels of stimulation, today’s pediatric environments have hidden wonders.

We work with your team to build opportunities to customize and scale. Technology can adjust color, artwork, music and other environmental features, giving control back to the child-patient.

Regardless of setting, access to nature and environments for physical activity are necessary physiologically and psychologically. We can find ways to bring it all together.

Pediatric medicine includes patients up to age 18. Toddler-specific themes and over-the-top stimulation have been replaced with positive distractions and customizable tech.

LaBella’s engineering team specializes in the design of energy efficient, high performance healthcare facilities.

We provide full-service engineering and energy design services. Our team understands the many challenges healthcare facilities face with respect to energy savings, operations, and continued maintenance of their facilities.

Our grant writers are well versed in funding opportunities and rebate programs. LaBella has performed numerous building condition studies and commissioning projects as well as assisted in the execution of energy performance contracts for many of our clients.

We have experience in utilities distribution, central plants, fire suppression systems, HVAC and air ventilation systems.

Infrastructure

Pictured far right: LaBella recently worked with Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY to develop a therapeutic garden. The 3,000 sf terrace gives patients and staff access to fresh air and sunshine by utilizing an existing rooftop. Materials were carefully selected to meet allowable rooftop loads and withstand harsh Buffalo winters. Many sustainable and custom details were incorporated into the design, including a word wall speaking to the mission and purpose of the facility. Healthcare Design 2018 Gold Award Recipient.
