Containing water, they can be kept ready for use for at least two years in the sealed state. Both models are ideal for including withiin first aid boxes and sets. All above mentioned Barikos eyewash bottles comply with DIN 12930. A protective cover clips onto the spray head of the eye wash bottle hygienically and without any leakage. The tamper-evident seal guarantees proper function. Barikos K Barikos and Barikos K are designed to be filled with clear water. If the user is likely to be operating an eyewash bottle when standing, we recommend the Barikos. The user need only incline his head slightly downwards, ensuring good contact with the spray head of the bottle. The Barikos K-eyewash bottle (vol. 620 ml) can be used immediately, even when the injured person is lying down. As soon as the bottle is tilted downwards, a patented sliding valve opens and the washing fluid reaches the spray head unhindered. Particle filtration masks are grouped in special classes, based on their particle accumulation rate. These classes are based on the toxidity of the substance (up to 4-times, 10-times and 30-times of the pollutant limit). According to EN 149:2001, particle filtration half masks protect against inert and liquid particles. These masks have three classes (FFP1, FFP2, FFP 3) depending on the level of the pollutant limit.

1 Respiratory protection - screw-type filters for full face mask BRK 820 The filters are tested and approved to EN 141/EN143 and carry the CE mark. Lightweight construction can be used with quarter, half or full masks. Offer very low breathing resistance. Their lifespan depends on the toxicity, humidity and air consumption of the user. Measurements differ with application so it is impossible to predict the working lifespan. Filter exhaustion can be detected as follows: - Gas filters: appearance of odours, tastes or irritants in inhaled air. - Particle filters: increase in breathing resistance. Storage times for unused gas and combination filters (kept sealed in manufacturer's packaging) 6 years. Opened gas filters must be replaced after maximum 6 months, even if unused. Particle filters can be stored for an unlimited period.

Operation: Before use, the safety trough needs to be filled with 2 litres sealing liquid (paraffin oil included in delivery) until the honeycomb cells are immersed in 10 mm liquid. Mode of effect: The honeycomb cells filled with sealing liquid collect combustible and non-combustible liquid. The Combustible liquid is extinguished due to oxygen starvation. In addition, oxygen supply is prevented by the perforated top plate which also provides protection against injuries from the honeycomb cells of the block. The honeycomb block can easily be removed to dispose of the liquid and clean the trough. Important information! The safety trough is not to be used with aluminium organic, or halo organic compounds.

2 Beta radiation shielding

Beta radiation shielding protects against low energy Beta rays. They reduce the radiation exposure when using isotopes such as 32P, 14C or 35S to values below the designated limit. It is proven that protection equipment made of acrylic with a density of 1.15 g/cmÂł and a material thickness of 6.9 mm effectively stops Beta particle radiation. These products have a thickness of minimum approx. 10 mm and therefore offer the best protection against low-level Beta radiation. Label "Caution: Radioactive material" in German supplied with every article. Warning: Acrylic does not provide protection against x-rays or gamma radiation.

The insulating sandwich construction of the cabinet protects the stored substances against heat and flames.
