Glassware DURAN®
Safety-coated bottles, DURAN® DURAN® Protect is a resistant and transparent plastic coating based on a cross-linked co-polymer (polyurethane) applied onto DURAN® 3.3 borosilicate glass. The coating made from PU adheres to the glass surface and fulfils the following functions: -- protects the glass surfaces against mechanical damage (scratch protection) -- keeps fragments together in the event of glass breakage (shatter protection) -- minimises loss of fluid in the event of glass breakage (leak and spray protection) -- absorbs UV rays up to a light wavelength of 380 nm (light protection) Temperature resistance Do not subject to an open flame or direct heat (e.g. on a laboratory hotplate). The max. temperature sustained is 135°C - continuous use at this temperature (>30 mins.) should be avoided. DURAN® Protect is suitable for freezing (down to -30°C) and for use in microwaves.

Features such as textured grip, hand-neutral design for right- and left-handed users, concave triggers, and convenient controls ensure the filler provides many hours of stress-free filling and dispensing. Filling and dispensing speed is easily set with a single switch. Force liquid out of your pipette by setting the unit to low- or high-speed blow-out mode, or flip to gravity mode for use with "to contain" pipettes and dispense liquid without the motor. Filler accommodates glass and plastic pipettes ranging in volume from 1 to 100mL. The filter in the polypropylene nozzle prevents contamination. Microcentrifuge Spectrafuge™ 24D The Spectrafuge 24D combines innovations such as a unique, easy access rotor, exclusive multi-flow air cooling system and high performance drive with a digital microprocessor that precisely regulates operation. Parameters are selected with two "smart" knobs and values are shown on large, easy to read, LED displays. Speed can be set and displayed in rpm or g-force while runs may be timed, continuous or momentary. The unique design of the 24-place rotor allows easy access to the tops of the tubes. An optional StripSpin™ adapter fits onto the rotor for spinning 0.2ml tubes and strips. A powerful, brushless motor quickly accelerates the rotor to set speed. Air enters the centrifuge through vents on the back of the housing and it is circulated in multiple directions to maximize cooling. The result is a cool running microcentrifuge that keeps samples close to ambient temperature, even during extended runs at maximum speed. For samples that require below ambient temperatures, the Spectrafuge 24D may be used in a cold room. Thermostatic baths Huber
Baths and Circulators The Huber circulators are split into two product lines, the CC-models and the simpler MPC models. Both model lines represent classically constructed laboratory circulators with open baths. Baths and circulators for heating applications up to +300°C are available, as well as models for heating and cooling applications from -90°C to +200°C. Immersion or bridge circulators are suitable for thermal control of existing baths. The Ministat, the smallest cooling and heating circulator in the world, is the first choice for operation in fume-hoods or integrating into systems. Circulators with CC-Pilot Models with CC-Pilot Controller convincing in practice with their highly precise temperature control and a professional range of functions even in the basic version. The electronic upgrade function "E-grade" allows a simple and low cost expansion of functions at any time. Operation is simple using large colour displays, an easily understandable menu and an individually customisable display. Models with the CC-Pilot have powerful pressure and suction pumps with continuously variable speed control for adjusting circulation to the bath in use. Further connections are available via the optional ComG@te, e.g. RS232 and RS485, analogue interface 4 to 20mA or 0 to 10V, standby signal and programmable alarm. Circulators using the MPC-Controller The functions of models with the low price MPC-controller concentrate on the essentials. MPC models are suitable for numerous typical laboratory applications, such as temperature control of samples, analysis, materials testing, as well as the external temperature control of test equipment or experimental constructions. The machine achieves a temperature stability of +/- 0.05°C and are fitted with an over temperature and low fluid level protection. The safety systems are according to class III/FL (DIN 12876) for use with flammable fluids. All MPC machines are also available as "Advanced" versions with RS232 interface and PT100 external sensor connection.
