Choose Your favourite Embroidery Design Gallery I am in the process of re-doing a skirt for one of my son's friends. She bought it online, can't return it, and it is much too small for her. She loves it enough that she asked that I work a miracle. Did I mention that the main fabric is themed from a licensed children's book and that I can't find it anywhere? Oh, yes, I will be a miracle worker if I can pull this off! To begin, I must completely pull the skirt apart, including the fitted waist and the ruffled and lacy hems. Then, I must add panels, extend the waist and find a way to add more to the ruffles and lace at the bottom before putting it all back together. Without my embroidery machine, I wouldn't even consider it! For More Information, Visit: http://kcastir.com/aboutus.php My favourite embroidery design gallery has already provided me with an option to create freestanding lace edgings that look almost identical to the original, and I can stitch as much as I need with the help of my huge stash of thread for machine embroidery. I just have to get final approval on several cute designs that resemble the original fabric enough that I can use them to create more fabric. Once this is done, I can get started! This skirt reminds me of why I love the world of machine embroidery so much. I grew up surrounded by the hand-made finery of the women in my family. Quilts, doilies, crocheted and knitted clothing were just a part of it. As an adult I fell in love with linens and clothing embellished with pretty, feminine embroidery. Of course, I didn't love the prices to buy these things, and I didn't have time to create them myself. Then, I got my first embroidery machine! Oh, glory! Does anyone besides me think that flannel sheets are totally unromantic? I love them in the winter, but they don't speak of romance to me. With some wonderful free embroidery designs, I turned my flannel sheets and pillowcases into lovely floral works of art. I'm assuming something like this would be expensive in the stores, but I've never seen anything like them. Score one for embroidery! And those sheets were just the beginning! My home is now full of the beauty I grew up with. Because I didn't have to use the time to make them completely by hand, I'm less worried about them actually getting used. What's the point of saving pretty things for special occasions? My machine embroidery allows me to make every day special. And, sometimes, it allows me to reproduce the occasional miracle. Creating napkins to match my dishes is one example; pillows to match a priceless Tiffany lamp another! I'm happy to be able to use my talents, as well as my extensive stash of embroidery supplies, to make this young woman's skirt exactly what she wants it to be! We all see beauty in various parts of our lives. It is my pleasure to help her see hers!
