Affordable Access & Low Cost Leisure Opportunities

Walk your worries away with FREE access (everyone welcome) on the Canadian Natural Track at Bold Center.

Strengthen & Stretch program 50+ (In partnership with Alberta Health Services) – see fitness schedules for times/dates.

Runner Re-use program (Available for those in need) *donate a gently used pair of running shoes & receive a complimentary all access pass.

Portage Pool swimsuit program (Available for those in need) *donate a gently used swimsuit & receive a complimentary pass to the pool!

FREE complimentary passes available at Stuart MacPherson Public Library for use at all County recreation facilities (Library Memberships are free too!)

Prescription to Get Active (RxTGA) program (In partnership with Primary Care Network, Associated Medical Clinic). Improve your fitness and activity levels by getting a prescription for activity and reduce borderline health issues, feel better and increase activity levels.

FCSS Programs for all ages (most programs are free – some require preregistration). Financial support available to those who require it. Call 780.623.6745 for info. Community Access Bus Need to get somewhere but have no wheels? FCSS provides door-to-door service for Paratransit clients (by appointment) and regular routes in town including weekly rural areas. Group bookings. Punch passes available. Outdoor Rinks & Parks Did you know the County boasts 7 outdoor rink surfaces and 3 indoor rinks?? Grab your skates and hit the ice all winter long. Bold Center rents snowshoes (Kids and adult sizes) for just $5 per pair/day *deposit required. Support your local vendors by shopping on Main Street and by visiting the LLB Farmers Market on Friday afternoons at the Lac La Biche Agricultural Society.

Join a volunteer organization or service group/board and give back to your community! Recreation & Agriculture societies, non-profit organizations, service clubs and most minor sport groups may be seeking new members/executive.

Learn a new language or finesse your computer skills with programs offered by Community Learning!

Get artsy with any of the programs offered by LLB County Recreation or contact the Lac La Biche Art Club to see what’s available.

Take a scenic stroll or bike ride on one of the many paved fitness trails throughout the community

Toonie Swim Sundays at Portage Pool

are a great way to spend your weekend afternoon! Discover the local and regional history by visiting the Lac La Biche Regional Museum, Plamondon Museum, Lac La Biche Historical Mission or Portage College’s Museum of Aboriginal Art & Artifacts.
