Lac La Biche County FCSS - Young Family Connections provides programs and services for families and caregivers in the areas of family support, early learning and care, parent education and information and referral. Our goal is to provide parents and caregivers with the knowledge, skills, resources, and confidence necessary to meet the unique needs of their children and family.

AGES AND STAGES QUESTIONNAIRE Staff are trained to administer and score the Ages and Stages with Parents/Caregivers.

FCSS TUMBLE KIDS
Tumble kids is designed to help children develop gross motor skills through fun, physical activity. This is a great way to get out and get active with your family. Once a month we are at Gymnastics and once a month at the Pool.
Dates: Tuesdays until May Time: 10:30 am-12:30 pm Location: Fieldhouse 1 Bold Center Cost: Free Ages: 0-6 years (with caregiver)
DAD AND ME
This program is for children and their fathers /significant male in their lives. Children and their caregivers will have the opportunity to experience age-appropriate activities while spending one on one time together.
Dates: Twice a month until June Time: 6 -7:30 pm Location: TBA Cost: Free Ages: 0-12 years (with caregiver) STAY AND PLAY
Join FCSS Young Family Connections and Childmind for some extra fun in the playroom.

RHYME TIME
Join Lac La Biche County Libraries and FCSS Young Family Connections for a program filled with rhymes, stories, songs, and special guests!
Dates: Thursdays, until June 9 Time: 10:30-11:30 am Location: Wild Rose Room, Bold Center Cost: Free Ages: Birth – 5 years (with Caregiver)

READ AND ROLL
Read and Roll is a free parent/child interactive program in partnership with Lac La Biche County Libraries, Alberta Health Services, and Young Family Connections. We read books and roll with activities to explore story concepts. *Registration is required for this program as limited spots are available. This will be in person or with take home kits. Dates: Thursdays, Session 4 – April 21 – June 2 Time: 1-2 pm Location: Wild Rose Room, Bold Center Cost: Free Ages: 3-4 years (with Caregiver)
RATTLE AND CHAT
Share ideas, experiences, and challenges while connecting with local professionals in a casual setting. This is a partner program with Alberta Health Services, Lac La Biche County Libraries and Young Family Connections. New this year we will be offering this the same time as Crafternoon with short break out sessions for new caregivers.

Did you know? FCSS has its own toy lending library based out of the indoor playground (Child Mind) at the Bold Center, with building blocks, bikes, parachutes, puzzles, and much more. This is a free community program open to all families!

CHICKA CHICKA BOOK CLUB
Chicka Chicka is a free parent/child interactive program in partnership with Lac La Biche County Libraries, Alberta Health Services, and Young Family Connections for infants aged 19 to 35 months. Join us for story time followed by interactive play at move, pretend, and think centres. *Registration is required for this program as limited spots are available. This will be in person or with take home kits. Dates: Wednesdays, Book Club 2 – February 2 – April 6 Time: 10:30-11:15 am Location: Wild Rose Room, Bold Center Cost: Free Ages: 19 months – 35 months (with Caregiver)
