Katie Hearn-James’ affinity for travel began at a young age. Born in the US, but raised across several Caribbean islands, her father managed some of the Caribbean’s most renowned high-end resorts. For over 17 years, Katie has worked in the luxury travel industry, starting out as a provider of top-notch service on luxury mega yachts to her current role leading partnership development for Lacure. Her obsession in providing “best in class” hospitality won her the position of Chief Stew on highprofile yachts that cruised the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and the US. She then made the leap to villa management on the island of Anguilla, honing the skills she acquired from being out at sea to running luxury villas.

During her time as Director of Operations for Properties In Paradise, she oversaw handling the entire guest experience in over 15 villas throughout the island. Sensing an opportunity to expand her network, understand the full value chain of luxury sales and broaden her array of skills she moved to Fort Lauderdale in 2020 where she worked for LVH Global as Director of Home Experience in their Luxury Vacation Home Division. Following a successful 3-month trial period, she was swiftly promoted to Senior Director Experience Operations, allowing her to manage the entire Experience Team and their range of complimentary services. In August, 2021, Kaite joined Lacure as Director of Sales Support & Partner Development, where she leads Lacure’s broader partner development efforts as it continues to expand its global footprint. Katie’s knowledge of both the luxury villa industry and “end-to-end” guest experience in addition to her unparalleled destination knowledge allows her to showcase her passion for providing remarkable and unparalleled travel experiences time and time again.
