MAURICIO MUÑOZ

Mauricio Muñoz is a passionate hospitality professional with more than 15 years of experience in the industry. Originally from Costa Rica, Mauricio grew up around hospitality. His curiosity and sense of exploration led him to pursue an undergraduate degree in Advertising where he developed a knack for storytelling. Combining this gift with a natural ability to connect people, place and opportunity, a career in hospitality was a natural fit.

Mauricio has become an accomplished and respected executive in travel holding several managerial positions for prominent hotels, villa rental companies and several globally recognized restaurant groups. Never one to rest on his professional accomplishments, Mauricio also holds an M.B.A. in International Commerce with a concentration in Marketing and Sales Management.

As the V.P. of Partner Development Mauricio spearheads Lacure’s commercial efforts, managing our network of preferred partners, consortia relationships and travel partners

across North America, The Caribbean, LATAM and Europe. Mauricio finds that the most rewarding part of his job is building long lasting relationships with his clients where his passion, vision and purpose can be communicated on a much more personal level.

His travels have taken him to over 45 countries, which truly has made him reflect on and appreciate the importance of what luxury means for today’s modern traveler. Whether it’s his unrivaled sensibility from a career partnering with some of the world’s most recognized villas and hotels to his +20 years working closely with the travel trade to develop and grow their business, one thing is for certain, Mauricio understands the blend of art and science when it comes to travel planning.

The essence of travel is to bring people together to create more than just a memory, but a moment in time. Mauricio believes that travel should not just be extraordinary, it should be exceptional and we hope you feel the same!
