EDITOR’S NOTE
MOVING FORWARD TO 2023
2022 has been both a challenging and fruitful year for us at LINBIZ GLOBAL. Therefore, it is important to take time to step back and reflect on how far Ladies in Business Magazine Global, the enthusiastic readers, and our ever-reliable patrons and members have come.
THE JOURNEY
Starting a publishing business could be daunting, but the satisfaction derived from putting a face to stories of unsung heroes and placing them in the limelight has been priceless. These women we feature range from female entrepreneurs, business startups, intending business owners, laid-off workers, housewives, and undergraduates to young female leaders, etc. The source of our inspiration, which defines us and guides our significant decision points is to not throw the light on high flyers, but concentrate on that woman out there trying to make something happen for herself by herself.
More importantly, our articles have been accessed by a vast audience, topical content is cited in other publications, and the magazine has lived up to the potential of having a substantial impact.
In today’s world, so much is pushing us, women, to live fast, to experience as many things as possible, and as quickly as possible. So often, we have a goal in sight and all we can think of is reaching it and how much we can enjoy and benefit from the journey Early July 2018, when we commenced this quest to start
a magazine publication, it has been a series of processes from engrossing in empirical studies, solidifying our goals, creating our brand and image, developing a business structure, setting up infrastructure, advertising, and then marketing. More ominously was in making the difficult business decisions in response to trials, selfgrowth, and self-realization.
Behind the scenes, Ladies in Business Magazine Global has extensively benefitted from the encouragement and guidance from friends, family and acquaintances, and it is a privilege to work alongside a highly driven and supportive team.
Autonomy over creative control, once we get an editorial piece ready to publish, we put all of our resources into action. This journey commences with drafting the interview questions, compiling responses, reviewing, content design, uploading a complete magazine online and sending it out for print. We are always mindful to move from our perspective into a more objective awareness that is clearer, unbiased, and focused. We pride ourselves in hearing the authors’ communications and understanding the complexity of their messages, serving as a security feature that enables featured women to effectively review and own the contents we put out without running a risk of rogue or incorrect posts being published.
Our greatest success milestone has been a new knowledge gained every single day about the world of publication. Very early on this
journey, we recognized the need for adaptability and steering clear off of the fear of failure, a fixed mindset, and overreliance on past performance which we deem as impediments to success. And truly true, this has forged a successful path for us and invariably won the trust of the global populace who are forever willing to do business with us.
Ladies in Business Magazine has then been contracted as a trusted Media Partner for over 100 corporate and social events. Since our venture launch, demand for cover page and profile page features keeps increasing per edition, not to mention the advertisement requests and articles brought forward. Ladies in Business Magazine Global has featured diverse segments crucial to productivity and has currently published twelve (12) editions encompassing broad themes as delineated in our editorial.
The way forward
Our future terrain is boundless from where we stand now. Ladies in Business Magazine Global has the potential to offer key nuggets of gold for multiple stakeholders and interested parties. I can divulge that the magazine’s pipeline is packed with even more interesting reads and discoveries in *2023*. Other projects and expansions to look forward to in the coming year include but are not limited to:
*A* Magnifying our reach and assiduously followed by a wider audience.
*B* Becoming a household brand and holding up to the potential of having a substantial impact.
*C* Branching more into business spheres such as events,
consultancy, and advocacy services.
*D* Expanding on our original intent for establishing Ladies in Business Magazine Global which is to promote unsung and unrecognized female personalities to now become fully inclusive of all women. We are riding on the coattails of our success trail and we have commenced a sister magazine that is a *PREMIUM VERSION* and features highflyers, overachievers, renowned personalities, notable brand names, and all women making waves in business and leadership in various Economy and internationally.
*E* Introduction of our Board Chairwomen to represent Ladies in Business Magazine Global in full capacity in their countries. This is a yearly appointment and candidates would be subjected to vetting and approval. Delegations of duties and authorities regarding LADIES IN BUSINESS MAGAZINE GLOBAL will be followed and maintained accordingly.
In sum, Ladies in Business Magazine Global has witnessed humungous increases in distribution and recognition, and our happiness and satisfaction have soared.
Dominantly, our paramount gratitude is to God Almighty. We are learning from past mistakes and feeling empowered rather than the victim of a situation. Additionally, we are discovering new insights and ideas, fostering increased mindfulness and self-understanding to conquer the future!
Our theme for 2023 is STRATEGIC QUALITY PEOPLE/BUSINESS ONLY. Therefore, LINBIZ will be moving towards the gear of this theme without looking back. Energy Medicine Combined With Allopathic Medicine
Malala Yousafzai once said:
“One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”
I’ve decided to be the one doctor that changes the way I manage my patients. I’m fully invested in ensuring they heal and I’m committed to making a world of difference in the lives of every patient I treat by successfully combining the best of both allopathic medicine and energy medicine. I’m passionate about my work and driven to add value wherever I can.
Quantum physics applied to Anatomy and Physiology affords me the opportunity to alter biochemical pathways and work on a cellular level to create shifts and changes to bring about the best outcome. This has been expedited using the following modalities: Functional Medicine, Neurolinguistic programming, Parama Body Talk, Sensory Integration Therapy, Craniosacral Fascial Therapy, Brain Gym, Bars Access Consciousness, Emotional Freedom Technique, Structural Integration Therapy, Rhythmic Movement Training, Eastern Medicine, Chinese Medicine and Business Coaching. My practise is designed to assist all patients using allopathic training with a focus on energetic medical healing: Bringing about harmony and Balance on all levels: mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. I accommodate patients who are able to come in for in person consults directly as well as remote sessions servicing patients nationally and globally for those unable to come in physically. The remote session works just as well if not better than a direct consult as the critical conscious
mind or ego does not show up to undo and judge, so it’s possible to go even deeper. This makes remote sessions just as effective and beneficial affording us the opportunity to achieve the same results.
Inducing changes which are tailored to suit each patient’s individual needs and presenting complaints, pathologies, and issues. We are ascertaining priority communication breakdowns for balancing in both remote and in person consults. The remote sessions are delivered to the patient directly via soliton particles. This is a single wave flow containing a parcel of knowledge. The knowledge contained is totally stable until it reaches its target. Soliton particles are used to transfer very important knowledge from cell cluster to cell cluster.
Both systems have their limitations. The integration of the two works so well as where the ones limitations become obvious –the other compensates and takes over to increase the potency of the treatment the patient receives. In this way the built-in mechanism that initiates the healing process is allowed to produce the best prognosis. The patient’s body is set up for the ideal conditions to allow comprehensive healing to take place involving all levels, anatomically, physiologically and on a consciousness level altering the body, mind and spirit.
The best outcome is achieved at the lowest cost. Every formula
tapped out and integrated into the three-brain complex has the potential to last for an entire year. The work is done very respectfully and with gentility on the energetic plane. Each session is designed to suit the needs of each patient individually. The same applies to families, businesses, corporations and conglomerates alike. This is facilitated to create shifts and changes, to bring about transformations within families and organizations for the greater good and prosperity of each member personally and synergistically. Working in this new age, deep, comprehensive, compassionate and holistic way has made it possible to achieve phenomenal results in record time making healthcare cost effective across all fields of medicine.
Being biochemically unique as individuals makes working with the Corona virus (and all microorganisms) so appropriate as these can be flushed out regardless of which strain or mutation or variant each individual patient presents with.
I have successfully treated patients presenting with auto immune conditions, depression, anxiety, ADHD, allergies, post traumatic stress disorder, headaches, learning difficulties, substance abuse, obesity and weight issues, constipation, gastritis, covid, long covid syndrome, arthritis, spinal degeneration, CVA (cerebrovascular accidents - stroke), coma, motor neuron lesions, infertility, polycystic ovarian syndrome, acne, insulin resistance, metabolic
syndrome, hormonal imbalances, thyroiditis, insomnia, pulmonary hypertension, vasculitis, ulcers, acid reflux, sinusitis, inflammatory bowel disease, trauma sustained on account of gender based violence, personality disorders, memory and mood issues, cerebral palsy, measles, infections (viral, bacterial and fungal), inflammatory conditions, urticarial reactions, eczema, psoriasis, gout, fibromyalgia, hypertension, asthma and diabetes.
I’ve assisted patients to quit smoking, vaping, resolve hearing difficulties, successfully integrating primitive reflexes, adjusting sensory integration issues in addition to healing and resolving relationship issues, grief and bereavement.
The changes induced in the body mind system of each patient can be compared to loading a new computer program into the hard drive which is the nervous system. The body, mind, spirit and life experiences change accordingly to alter and accommodate the new you or programming loaded into the nervous system.
There is a sequence of healing so often one thing or issue needs to shift before others do or one pathology (disease) needs to shift before others do. It’s like peeling layers of an onion, whereby a few layers are peeled off with each progressive session. If the presenting issue or pathology is at the core then more than one session is required. Often only one or two sessions are required to get the patient to their desired goal.
Specific agenda sessions are facilitated as well. If the goal is to be at your best before a specific event (job interview,
wedding, exam, surgery etc), this is facilitated. An agenda session for a student or scholar assists the patient to access their knowledge in a more refined, dignified manner during their exam. In this way they can successfully and in a relaxed manner access what they’ve studied and improve recall. If a session is done prior to surgery we specifically make adjustments to prevent, minimize and eliminate complications. It can be used for patients receiving chemotherapy to minimize the side effects and initiate a repair of the body from the toxicity of their treatment.
According to Ralph Waldo Emerson: “A mind once stretched by a new idea or concept never resumes its original dimensions.” This can be achieved by directly assisting patients to move forward with their lives, remove obstacles and turn their dreams into reality by prioritizing their goals in a way that integrates them into their physiology so that they are hardwired to succeed. Our physiology needs to be altered in a way that sets us up to succeed in all our chosen goals. I encourage my patients to dream big and be positive in their aspirations whilst reprogramming them to be the success they wish to achieve in this world. This world is one big dream machine churning out dreams and turning them into reality. I’m so delighted and grateful to be contributing to increasing the joy and happiness in the lives of my patients and in my own small way making this world a better place.
By making it easy to break old habits that no longer serve us and often sabotage our success, by removing the negativity and toxicity that does not belong within us anatomically, physiologically and on a consciousness level –
profound results and changes can be achieved.
If we break down the word energy into E and motion to give us “emotion”; this tells us that energy needs to be in motion. All similar negative emotions conglomerate in the same neighbourhood and if they are not given a release or outlet or moved out of the body with energy medicine they turn into a pathology or disease or disorder.
William Shakespeare contended: “Some are born great; some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them.”
I’ve made it my mission in life to assist all my patients to reach their full potential; to uncover and allow their own personal greatness and personal best to surface in each dimension of their lives. Benefitting mankind in this way is honestly what drives me. I’m intentional about effecting positive change and getting results, building self-esteem and confidence. I play an instrumental role to coach, mentor, counsel and support my patients until the desired outcome is achieved.
By holding myself up to a higher standard, I compel myself to operate and conduct myself from a high level of integrity and honesty.
For me true nobility is not being better than everyone else but being better than I used to be. I pilot my life from this platform of growing, improving, developing daily and learning from my own mistakes.
Victor Hugo once said: “There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come.”
Essentially my current practise is indeed an idea whose time has arrived.
The 13 years of experience I have gathered working in this field combining allopathic medicine
with energy medicine has made it possible for me to live by the philosophy taught by Hippocrates when he suggested:
“Keep thy life and thy art pure.”
This is something I strive to do every day. I agree with Winston Churchill when he contended… “A positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible and achieves the impossible.”
My passion for working this way makes me feel like my application of medicine is not just a science but it is also an art form.
FIGHTING COVID - 19 ENERGETICALLY
The Cartesian/Newtonian model of medicine which is the basis of the Allopathic system of treating a patient dissects down the management into and by virtue of its respective fields. This only affects the physical level. Combining the allopathic approach to treating covid-19 patients with energy medicine has afforded me greater flexibility and success in allaying all phases of the disease including the cytokine storm, preventing the long covid syndrome and preventing all the unwanted effects of the corona virus and all its strains and each manifestation of the virus.
By employing the Dynamic systems theory, Quantum physics and the holographic model we can prevent the corona virus from turning our patients body mind complex
into a manufacturing plant for the cytopathic virus. This was facilitated by meeting the virus at the level it is presenting: the cellular level. I used a technique I learnt from the Body Talk System called the Body Chemistry formula. A retrospective cohort study conducted to elucidate the value that an energetic intervention combined with conventional allopathic treatment revealed outstanding outcomes. The parameters highlighted included the following:
Covid 19 vaccination status, high Interleukin 6 levels, high ferritin levels, high D-Dimers and a low O2 saturation capacity. Of note; a common theme weaved into each patient’s body mind system that was a consistent factor highlighted in the mindset of each patient was a history of extreme anxiety and a clearly defined prominent fear of contracting covid-19.
Each case included in the cohort emphasized the above parameters as common denominators presenting in each patient involved in the study. None of the patients comprised in this study had received the covid 19 vaccine as it was not available at that time. The only standard energetic formula designed to fight the virus using the body chemistry technique was the instrumental feature engaged in each patient.
Each patient’s immune system was drawn upon in a different way. We are all biochemically unique, so we metabolize life in different ways. Herein I will be presenting 3 case studies to demonstrate the potential of working in this field and in this way. The only common denominators were the use of the body chemistry formula, Azithromycin and Doxycycline, Acc 200, Antihistamines, Omega 3,
Vitamins A, C, D3, Zinc, Selenium, Quercetin, Ecotrin, Multivitamins and Neurobion.
The first case was a Covid positive 52-year-old male patient presenting with body aches and lower limb pain. He is a diabetic, currently on Glucophage 850mg bd, Crestor 10 mg daily, Cardicur 2.5 mg daily, Ecotrin 81mg daily and Cardiobalance (manna tech) 2 daily. His Interleukin 6 level was 45.7 pg/ml, Ferritin levels were 130 ng/ml, D-dimer was 0.53 mg/ml, CRP was 12 mg/ml, PCT was 0.08 ng/ml, glucose was 5 mmol/L, platelets were 132, total cholesterol was 5.9 mmol/l and LDL cholesterol was 3.8 mmol/l.
Lymphopoiesis was activated to increase B & T cell production which led to the production of the following cytokines: IL- 1Beta, TNF alpha, Interferons type 1 (alpha & beta) to interfere with viral replication in an effort to degrade mRNA, inhibit protein synthesis & increase expression of MHC molecules. This made it easier and paved the way for the cytotoxic CD8 & T cells which are the natural killer cells that were enlisted to do the surveillance. Interferon Gamma type II was produced to promote an anti-viral state. This activated the macrophages & CD4+ T helper cells to clean up the mess & Cellular debris post apoptosis. The session needed to be re-run daily for 3 weeks. He recovered beautifully and did not need further assistance. All investigations post recovery were normal.
Presenting a 68-year-old female patient who was a known hypertensive and diabetic patient who was on the following treatment: Glucophage 850mg 3xdaily, Ridaq 25mg, Ecotrin
81mg, Indoblok 40mg, Prednisone, Lumont, Simvastatin 20mg.
Her oxygen saturation capacity prior to the energy medicine session was 87% on oxygen and dropped to 69% when she went to the bathroom and came back.
Her blood sugar was 8,8; BP was 133/73, her temperature was 37.53 and heart rate was 92 bpm.
She was managed by another GP who treated her with Clexane injections for 3 days and thereafter oral anticoagulants for 21 days because her D-Dimers were high. I was contacted to assist after her last injection as she was deteriorating and her family was very worried that she was not going to recover and would require hospitalization.
Her IL6 was 41.2 pg/ml, D-dimer was 1.10mg/L CRP was 138.6mg/L, her PCT level was 0.12 ng/ml, platelets were 114, Hb was 10,7 d/ dl, her hematocrit was 0.33 L/L and her MCV was 72.7 fL.
Post session her saturation was 9495 % on oxygen and 76 % when she went to the bathroom and came back. She improved significantly every day until her saturation was 100 % and she was fully weaned off the oxygen. She never required hospital admission. Her recovery subsequently involved 6 weeks of re-running the session and thereafter all investigations were normal.
A 44-year-old male medical colleague who was a frontline worker tested positive for covid. He presented with an IL6 of 31.3 pg/ ml a ferritin level of 1058 ng/ml, D-dimer of 0.61 mg/L and a CRP of 31 mg/L. In addition, his PCT was 5.36 ng/mL and LDH was 258, Hb was 13.7 g/dL, MCH was 26.3 g/dL, RDW was 16.6 with a very poor O2 saturation capacity. He was already in hospital on double oxygen when my help was enlisted.
They were about to put him on a ventilator.
He presented with pneumonia. His right lung had residual patchy areas of consolidation. Residual confluent consolidation was also noted in the left upper lobe and left lower lobe & lingula area. In his session the thymus gland was activated to mobilize and increase his thymosin alpha one levels to increase B & T cell production and proliferation to produce antibodies to the corona virus. The cytokines involved were interleukin 1 beta & TNF alpha. He needed another session 10 days later after which he was discharged with oxygen at home and thereafter improved significantly. Oxygen was weaned off subsequently. His session required re-running for a period of 3 weeks after which he improved fully and completely, and all subsequent investigations were normal.
The Body Chemistry formula was employed in the above patients included in the cohort study. Those that received energetic interventions recovered faster, and did not develop the long covid syndrome. They were able to return to normal healthier life far quicker and with greater dignity. The body chemistry technique is
a modified version of the cortices technique which affords us the capacity to get the brain fully involved in the repair and healing process.
The cytokine storm and proinflammatory response can be very nicely allayed with the use of the spectrum of energetic formula’s using the Body Talk system. We can support the use of TNF alpha and dendritic cells, monocytes, macrophages and natural killer cells, etc to assist the patient to fight the virus and fully eliminate it.
At whatever stage of the viral infection the patient is presenting, for example the cytokine storm, pro-inflammatory responses, the involvement of alveolar monocytes, any vascular endothelial damage that ensues or micro thrombi development all can be respectfully managed using this system.
All collateral damage that the patient’s tissues undergo can be treated accordingly. Apoptosis and pyroptosis, cellular damage and cellular debris, the viral genetic material that is manufactured which acts as damps (Damage associated molecular patterns) and pamps (Pathogen associated molecular patterns) to activate an immune inflammatory response
can also be addressed. Whatever manifestation of the disease presents itself in each patient individually using a variety of energetic formulas a good result can be achieved.
Regardless of what comes up or which stage of the disease (I, II, III), we meet the pathogen in, we can still destroy it and repair all the damage, facilitate adequate gas exchange and recruit the help of all systems that surface for healing.
So whatever presenting symptom on the entire spectrum ranging from runny nose, myalgia, fever, headaches, fatigue, weakness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, shortness of breath, respiratory distress and all its presentations of hypoxemia, diffuse microthrombi and the entire clinical range; all of it can be respectfully addressed to provide the comprehensive and compassionate care that this virus has been demanding of us.
Energy medicine drives and fuels molecular medicine. In each of the 3 cases above a variety of other energetic formulas were also employed to complete the session. Each session was tailored to suit each patient.
The above includes my clinical experience and personal observations using energy medicine formulas with the above medication detailed to bring about balance and harmony on all levels. When we make changes and shifts in the body mind system using energy medicine, we are working at the highest plane of consciousness and therefore altering the field. The changes induced reflect on all levels: body, mind, spirit, emotions, and life experiences. Which all change accordingly to accommodate the new program
loaded into the nervous system which can be viewed as the hard drive of our “Central Processing Units”.
As Donna Eden once contended: “Energy Medicine brings you vitality when you are drained, health when you are ill, and joy when you are down. Energy is your life force. It animates every single cell and muscle and fiber in your body. And energy medicine ministers to that life force. When your energies are flowing and in balance, you are healthy, and you feel great.”
In conclusion, looking at the long-term consequences of the patients treated with energetic interventions faired far better than those without. None needed ventilation, all survived, resumed normal life and are currently in good health. Their energy levels are higher and were able to resume work and are currently thriving, functional members of society.

Tackle That Nagging Pain
By: Dr. Hanadie BasilIt’s a pain you know. The one that has been bugging you for weeks, maybe even months. It is the pain that doesn’t seem to go away no matter what you do. You have arrived at the right place if you are tired of living with pain and are ready to take it head-on. It’s time to dig a little deeper into the causes of nagging pain and give you some ideas on how to eliminate it for good. Read on if you’re ready to be pain-free for good!
What’s the cause?
It is possible for nagging pain to have many causes. Injuries, overuse of body parts, or chronic conditions such as arthritis may cause this pain. It could also be caused by something as simple as incorrect posture.
If you have nagging pain that persists, it’s important to see a doctor to rule out any serious underlying conditions. Once any serious conditions are ruled out, you can work on treating the pain with home remedies or over-thecounter medications. If the pain is still not relieved, you may need to see a physical therapist or other specialist for further treatment.
Unusual solutions:
There are a variety of options available for those looking to find relief from nagging pain.
Over-the-counter pain killers can be effective at managing pain. Natural remedies such as essential oils may also provide relief. It is critical to identify the underlying cause of the pain and treat it accordingly. For example, if the pain is due to an injury, rest and physical therapy may be necessary. Chronic pain from a nagging, ongoing injury can have a negative effect on your quality of life. Recognizing that chronic pain is a problem is the first step towards finding effective treatment.
1. Massage therapy
Massage therapist can provide relief from chronic pain in two main ways. It increases circulation to the injured area, which encourages the body to heal itself. It also improves the flexibility of stiff muscles to relieve pain and tightness.
2. Gua Sha and Tui Na:
The Chinese scraping massage, deep tissue massage and remedial
bodywork also work for those with chronic pain. Combined with stretching and neuromuscular therapy, this neurological massage can reduce pain by increasing blood flow to the back, which in turn elongates tightened muscles.
3. Neuroactive exercise:
Therapists who are licensed and highly educated professionals can help patients develop the necessary skills to manage and improve their chronic pain condition. This practice often involves the development of a safe activity program and advice on how to correct problematic postures and movements via a series of sensory, body-activated exercises.
4. Jin Shin Jyutsu: JSJ is a Japanese method of acupressure that uses light finger pressure to stimulate points on the body while fully clothed. The JSJ restores a blocked flow of energy, which may have occurred as a result of illness or pain. As
HEALTH AND
well as improving digestion, JSJ offers benefits for acute and chronic pain, boosting the immune system, alleviating fatigue, reducing stress, and improving digestion.
Doctor’s visit.
If you’re experiencing nagging pain, it’s essential to see a doctor to determine the cause. In some cases, nagging pain can be a sign of a more serious problem. If you have any of the following symptoms, then you must see a doctor right away:
• The pain is severe
• The pain is constant
•
The pain is getting more severe
• You have other symptoms like fever or swelling
If you’re not sure whether or not your pain is serious, it’s always safer to err on the side of caution and see a doctor. They can help determine the cause of your pain and recommend appropriate treatment.
If you’re struggling with nagging pain, don’t despair. There are plenty of things you can do to get relief. First, identify the source of your pain and then take steps to address it. If your pain is due to muscle tension, try some simple stretches or a massage. If it’s due to an injury, give yourself time to rest and heal. You may also want to consider seeing a doctor or physical therapist for help. Whatever you do, don’t ignore your pain or try to tough it out. That will only make it worse in the long run.

Legalities in Business
By: Hajiya Maimunat Bolajoko Folami & Kingsley O. OghoroLet us start by appreciating that Legality and Business both have definitions that place them in different discipline, but can be used together in conformity. In this case, we shall be considering their different aspects and putting them side by side.
LEGALITY: can be defined or referred to, “as the quality or state of being in accordance with the law irrespective of what it is”.
BUSINESS: on the other hand can be referred to, “as the exchange of goods and services either for profit or non-profitable reasons or services”.
The above descriptions or short definition is a summary of the definitions from various Scholars and Researchers. Now in summary, we can now combine Legality and Business as one, which is the subject matter of our discussion.
Legality in business can simply mean that in doing business in whatever form, one must follow due process of the law or the required process as stipulated in the law that establishes such business.
This is a topic that is so important to every business to become operative. First things first. There must be legal requirements for starting a business such as; creating a company, registering the business name, applying for a tax number whether Federal or State, obtaining of permits and licenses where necessary, Insurance cover,
Bank accounts and Consultation with Professionals from time to time.
What then is the meaning of a Legal Business? A Legal Business again can be defined as any company or organization with legal rights and responsibilities of any activity entered into for profits.
Also, what must be considered are the legal aspects for any business to succeed such as, the legal structures and liabilities, taking on employees, the premises for the business, terms and conditions for the business, licenses, copy rights, trade marks, patents etc. and public relations, responsible for handling of the personal information for the business.

of Said ‘Professional Woman’ … I sit here, on a clear yet bright early Sunday morning, thinking about the term ‘Professional Woman.’ What does it mean? What does it REALLY mean? And how can we define it? Hang on a minute, who has ACTUALLY defined it? The fact remains, that the
term ‘Professional Woman,’ is undefined. Some may argue that in fact its undefinable, claiming that this term is simply subjective. It fully depends on what that specific term means to you as an individual. They even go further and explain that before you can understand or even find out what that term means to you, you need to first define the term of a ‘woman.’ What does being a woman mean to you at the intrinsic almost intuitive level? That they say, is the first step to understanding what a ‘professional woman’ is for you and whether this mould that you have created is applicable to you, your life, and your environment. For those of you who have been paying attention, it is honestly that simple.
You are the decision maker when it comes to defining something so near and dear to your soul.
You create a mould, and you apply that mould to your life, your environment and yourself. It becomes your own measuring rod but most of us forget the most important rule of our measuring rod, ‘It can not and should not be applied to anyone else.’ You should avoid like the plague, applying this notion, this definition that you have created in your head to measure other’s capabilities. Because if you do, if you find yourself in a moment of ignorance and you charge ahead unscathed, demanding that others respect AND obey ‘your measuring rod,’ then you’ve already lost the battle before its even begun.
It is absolutely amazing to me – I literally sit and watch others – I watch the lengths they will go to JUST, in the name of protecting
their holy definition. It becomes a war of words. It turns bleak, ugly and dictatorial in under a minute flat. People harness a power, trying to lead others in the same direction, trying to get them to dance to the same beat, forgoing everything that makes them human. They forgo their humane ability of compassion and replace it with the mundane, rhetoric, dumbfounded response: ‘This is the right way to do it.’
They create their own rites of passage and call upon history to come to their aid and justify their incoherent choices. But, I don’t get it. I guess, I never did. And I never will. Who has taught you that this is the RIGHT way? Your parents, school, environment? Your Socialization Process? And who has created this Socialization Process? Who, but most importantly, why has it been created in the first place? Is it for a means to an end?
Let us unravel society and ask why that foundation in ‘said society’ has been created. Let us UNPACK our own set of definitions & beliefs and let us try to study a society by mirroring and documenting what we see; right in front of us. This is a call, to become Social Anthropologists and just like *Noam Chomsky who once studied the Yanomamo tribe located in the Amazon Basin in both Venezuela and Brazil, it is a profound call. It is a call to fully respect all the traditions, foundations, rites of passage of the society you are studying and living in. It is a call to try your ultimate best to study it objectively, fully documenting what you see. In the process of your study, it is necessary to be incredibly precise and careful not to be ethnocentric - (Evaluating other cultures according to preconceptions originating in the
standards and customs of one’s own culture).
When you are raised by your school and environment at a young and tender age to intellectually question everything around you and to document the Pro’s & Con’s of any study, then that ‘mindset’ that you have been taught, will be your automatic response as an adult. But the beauty of it, the clarity of it, is striking. Because you are AWARE that your mindset, ‘your right way’ is not necessarily the right way but the way you have been socialized and institutionalized to think. The beautiful and colourful and joyful realization is this:
“It’s all just about perspective! And your awareness grows wings and flies off into the horizon and you witness a birth of knowledge –a whole world with over 1000,000 little mini worlds in it! And the best part of it, you get to be the one to decide who and what you want to learn next, or what you want to be a part of next!
And when that happens, you are fully aware that defining anything in your world is a by-product of that world and a by-product of your personality. So, without further ado, here is my definition of what a ‘professional woman’ is:
Own – Won
She is a woman in her own right. She owns the rights to her own intellect.
She smiles for miles, And runs highlighting her causes, Because she knows that is exactly what makes her human.
She finds the passion in every person’s compassion.
She finds the beauty in every bee, And gets busy just like a bee, Struggling to make honey with money.
But in the end, She knows that contribution is all that matters.
Its what the globe pivots on. Her retribution will be her contribution.
My definition of a ‘Professional Woman’: Is a woman that starts with transparency in her life and ends with her own contribution.

Blockchain Technology Can Be Used In Education Body339 Words
Blockchain technology is being used in a number of different industries. The technology has the ability to change the way we do business, and it can be applied to almost every industry. Education is one of those industries where the technology can be used. The technology is already being used in schools to record attendance and grades. The technology will continue to grow as more companies look to use it to improve their processes.
Blockchain technology is being used to create a paperless system for schools. There are several companies that have created programs that help students save money by eliminating the need for paper and ink. The technology is also being used to make sure that the students are getting the best possible education.
One of the biggest benefits of using the technology is that the data stored on the blockchain is tamper proof. This means that there is no room for error or fraud when it comes to grades, attendance records, or any other type of information that is being recorded.
Another great thing about the technology is that it can be used to
ensure that the information being recorded is accurate. There are no problems with students trying to cheat on tests or anything else that would cause inaccurate information.
The technology is also a great way to keep track of student progress. This is especially true in the case of online classes. It is easy to see who is doing well and who needs extra help.
In the case of online classes, the technology can also be used to provide a way for teachers to monitor what students are doing at all times. The technology allows teachers to see what students are doing without having to ask them questions. This can be very helpful because some students may not want to answer questions that they think are irrelevant.
There are many other ways that the technology can be used in education. The technology is changing the way we do business, but it is also changing the way we teach our children.
NFT 101 - What Is NFT?
Body584 Words
In this article I am going to explain what NFT is, how it works, and how it will affect the education sector. I am also going to talk about how METAVERSE can be used to educate students on blockchain technology.
What is NFT?
NFT or “Non-Fungible Token” is a new concept that was introduced by the Ethereum network in 2017. This concept is a way for people to create digital assets that are unique to each individual. The idea is that each token is unique
and cannot be duplicated. The tokens are also not fungible. This means that if you own one of these tokens, you have ownership of that specific asset. There is no way to exchange one for another.
How does NFT work?
There are two main ways to create NFTs:
1. Creating your own token through a smart contract
2. Buying an existing token from someone else
Creating your own token through a smart contract is pretty easy. All you need to do is create a smart contract on the Ethereum network and then write some code that creates the token. You can then distribute this token to anyone who wants to purchase it.
Buying existing tokens is a little more complicated. The first step is to find an open source smart contract that already exists. Then you would need to create a wallet that is compatible with that contract. Once you have created a wallet that is compatible with the contract, you can then transfer your ether to the smart contract address. Once you have done this, you can then send the ether to the smart contract address and wait for the NFT to be created.
The NFT process is pretty simple, but it does take some time to complete. If you are creating your own token, you should expect to wait anywhere from a few days to a few weeks before you receive your NFT. If you are buying an existing NFT, you will have to wait a little longer because the NFT has to be created.
Why is NFT important?
If you have ever heard of Crypto Kitties, you know that there is a huge demand for collectibles. People love collecting and trading virtual cats. NFTs are a way for people to collect digital assets and they are also a way for people to trade them.
As we move forward into the future, NFTs will become more common. In fact, many companies are already using NFTs to create virtual collectibles. For example, Disney is using NFTs to create toys for their upcoming Star Wars movie. These toys are unique and can only be owned by the person who purchased them. They can also be traded.
METAVERSE
METAVERSE is a new educational project that is being
MENS CORNER
created by the Meta college Project. The goal of this project is to teach students about the fundamentals of crypto currency. METAVERSE is designed to teach students about blockchains, decentralized systems, cryptography, and the importance of digital assets.
METAVERSES are digital assets that have been created by the Meta colleges team. Each METAVERSE is unique and cannot be duplicatated. METAVERSEs can be transferred between users and traded.
METAVERSEs are created by using a smart contract. The smart contract is used to create the METAVERSE and then distribute it to all the people who want to buy it.
How does METAVERSE work?
METAVERSE creators use a special website to create their METAVERSE. They can also use the METAVERSE creation tool which is available on the Meta college website. Once a METAVERSE is created, it can be sent to any user who has access to the Meta college website.

Following the global trend, Nigerian women constitute nearly half of the country’s population. And in spite of the major roles they play with their population, women roles in the society are yet to be validated. This restless from cultural stereotypes, abuse of religion, traditonal practices and patriarchal societal structures. In Nigeria, the awareness about the role of women in development of a naton came up in 1980s. The Internatonal conference on women in Beijing in 1995 enhanced the effective participaton of women in politcs in Nigeria. Women make up over 50% of Nigeria’s poptlaton, yet the further up you go in the pyramid of power, the less women you have in key leadership positons. Women are hard wired, as such there is a need to upscale their role and involvement in natonal development. Hence, having
more women leadership and representaton in our democratic and corporate Institutions is now a mater of natonal importance and necessity.
In Nigeria today, about 51 percent of women are involved in voting during electons despite these, women are stll under represented in both elective and appointive positons. Available statistics revealed the overall politcal representaton of Nigerian women in government to be less than 7%. This clearly shows the partcipaton of Nigerian women in governance far below the 30 percent affirmative point as prescribed by the Beijing Platorm of Action. There is a necessary need for women Inclusion in governance, politcs, Leadership among other principal role in order to achieve sustainable development thereby giving them a voice, platorm and opporttnity to thrive.
Nigeria Women And Governance
The objective of this critcal issues affecting the Nigerian Woman can not be over emphasized as it is set also to address the passivity of the Nigerian woman towards governance and its dangers on the society. Under internatonal standards, both men and women should have equal rights and opporttnites to everything worldwide, most especially to partcipate fully in all aspects and at all levels of politcal processes. Globally, women constitute over half of the world’s population and contribute in vital ways to societal development generally. In most society, women assume some key roles, which are: mother, producer, home manager, and Community organizer, sociocultural and politcal actvists. Of these many roles mentoned, the last has been engendered by women movement.
In a developing country like Nigeria, it is time to embrace the right thing and end the injustice melted on our Nigeria Women, we are the mother of the Nation, our voice needs to be heard, something has to be done, if we must not keep recycling history.

CEO and managing director of Alluring Global Empire LTD
Ayopeju Komolafe (Bsc, ASM, FCA, MPA), popularly referred to by the trademarked name ‘Alluring Woman’ is the CEO and managing director of Alluring Global Empire LTD, a company with several subsidiaries, one of which is ‘ALLURING HERBALS’. Alluring Woman is a woman of many parts who has dabbled into different sectors. Aside from being a renowned serial entrepreneur, she is also a fellow chartered accountant, practicing herbalist and the founder of Alluring Woman Charity Foundation (A.W.C.F). She is purpose driven, focused, ambitious and determined to bring change to the world. Aside from work, she likes to travel, explore the world and spend time with loved ones.
Tell us about your trade? As a member of the American Herbalist Guild (AHG), I practice the medicinal and therapeutic use of plants and herbal medicines that are prescribed for the prevention and treatment of a person in a state of disease or wellness. I believe wholly in the efficacy of herbal medicine and I’ve seen lives, bodies and health changed through herbal medicine. Herbalism is much bigger than the simple prescribing of herbs for an ailment - it includes botany, medicine making, understanding our environment, understanding the connection between plants and people and how to grow, harvest, store, use and assess these medicines. Herbal medicine is a massive industry.
How did Alluring herbals come into existence? Was it borne out of an innate or acquired capacity? The year was 2017 and I guess it’s safe to say Alluring Herbals saved me. I had just suffered a major heartbreak coupled with a
project that I’d embarked on that failed. I was broken and felt like a failure. All of these led to me gaining weight massively. After a couple of weeks, I decided it was time to change my life. I started researching herbs that aids weight loss and slowly began to incorporate things I learned for myself. It came as a shock to me when I started losing weight and people asked me what I was doing differently. So I decided to sell to those who needed help to either stabilize or reduce their weight.
In 2019, I went to a local Alagbo elderly man to learn about barks, trees, roots and our local herbs and from there, I began making herbs for infection, pile and other illnesses.
Fast forward to the lockdown in 2020, I was introduced to a certified herbalist in which I took more classes to gain more knowledge and that was how Alluring Herbals came to be.
What are the expectations of consumers and how do you fit into their need for herbal remedies? My customers demand a lot of things from me. Ahhh, a whole lot! I get funny questions like: “What canI drink to get bigger breasts? What herb can make me stop smoking? How can I get a smaller waist and a bigger bum?” To me, these requests are like a miracle in a jar.
But on the good side, I’ve also had a few reasonable requests like “what can I use to boost my immune system? What can I use to lower my cholesterol?”
I think it was in 2019 when skin care became a huge thing that people started turning to herbal medicine to help maintain their skin. I’ve had clients reach out to me complaining of skin problems like eczema, psoriasis, acne. In
2020, a client of mine reached out to me asking how she could get rid of her Vitiligo. I took that as an opportunity to educate her and make her see why Vitiligo was not a plague. When she eventually left after her consultation, she left with herbs for skin maintenance instead.
Also, a lot of new mums reach out about their post pregnancy care and we are always careful about each and every herb we suggest to these nursing mothers.
Having been in the shoes of some of my customers, I understand how they feel so I put my all into ensuring that the remedies I provide are thorough and effective. I’ve gotten a lot of reviews about these products too. For instance, Aparun, my treatment for infections, is my most purchased product.
Unlike the conventional herb sellers in Nigeria, what do Alluring herbals do differently?
It is more than the money for Alluring Herbals; hence the thorough consultation done for our consumers. During consultation, your medical history is required, studied and herbs are formulated based on the specific condition of the consumer. Customers are guided on their journey because we know everyone’s peculiar situation.
Could you intimate us with the importance of herbal medicine as an alternative to orthodox medicine?
Herbal medicine aids your health in many ways; It strengthens your digestion, supports your immune system and awakens your senses thereby bringing overall joy and helping the mental state. Many of our well-known
orthodox medicines are derived from herbs. For instance, one of the active ingredients used in formulating aspirin is obtained from white willow bark, which has been traditionally used for years as a painkiller. The use of herbal medicine does not take away the importance of orthodox medicine and both can coexist.
There is a widespread belief that with herbal medicine practice comes some form of fetishism, how far does this go?
Let me tell you a story. When I was 19, I had a tooth problem and the dentist told me that for me to be relieved, she was going to have to cut my gum so the stubborn tooth could have space to grow out. I was in so much pain and so was ready to let this procedure be done on me. Then I thought, why not go home first and let my mum see my mouth. So, I left school and went home and my mum said, “if I try everything I can and this pain does not relieve you by tomorrow, we will go to the dentist.” She started the care (pepper soup, herbs she blended into a paste, hot water and the likes). I went
back to school in 5 days and I haven’t been to the dentist since then. (Laughter)
So, I’ll say that the fact that herbal medicine is effective does not mean it is fetish. People just need to know how to use it and also understand its intricacies.
What’s the future of Herbal medicine practice in Nigeria?
I believe that to be accepted as a viable alternative to modern medicine, the same vigorous method of scientific and clinical validation must be applied to prove the safety and effectiveness of herbal medicine. Herbal medicine is so much more than people currently think it is but with the right processes, the future of medicine can be herbal.
To what extent can the effectiveness of Traditional medicine be considered as against orthodox medicine practice relative to concerns about consumption, shelf life, toxicity and stability levels. Traditional medicine has been proven to be very effective for the overall immune system.
They can also stabilize hormones and metabolism. Furthermore, the introduction of modern technologies and methodologies is beginning to have a significant impact on the scientific validity, quality improvement, and standardization of herbal medicines in Nigeria - hence the problems of shelf life, toxicity and stability levels are being solved..
The practice requires proactiveness, research and development. How has Alluring herbals done in these areas? Alluring Herbals is on top of its game. We have access to immense resources, developments, research and updates on herbs and its entirety. Also, I am constantly reminded of not compromising quality and this has been a guide which we have always maintained. Quality research, tests and reviews are always carried out before products are put on sale.
In a survey from African Journal It was observed that research and development patterns in traditional medicine practice in Nigeria is still behind, how can Nigerian meet with the word in the study of herbal medicine? Yes, the truth is, herbal medicine in Nigeria can use more consistent effort, good infrastructures, labs equipment, and research scholars. All these can be done easily if we are supported by the Government and more private sectors, so that the quality of drugs and its standard can be enhanced.
particular to each persontheir anatomy, physiology, and nutrition. For instance, I quickly discovered that lifestyle factors and the role of nutrition and diet affects the entire realm of herbalism. Aside from these, I research a lot about female health because a lot of women reach out to us about PMS, hormonal imbalance, acne, anovulation and other health issues. Beauty research was not left out because I’ve found over time that what happens to our skin is highly dependent on what we consume either in the form of food, drugs or herbs. I also researched various disease management herbs. Diseases and conditions like diabetes, hypertension, arthritis are what I research on with focus on gut health as it’s discovered that this is where a lot of illnesses generate from.
Who are the stakeholders in herbal medicine practice in Nigeria? What systems are in place to integrate with conventional medicine to ensure safety of more lives?
What’s your most researched areas in practice? Share with us some discoveries you have made. When I started out, I focused especially on the physiological systems of the body and began to understand how to apply herbs
Mrs Olukemi Arowolo, the founder of Facial Reflections Botanical Beauty is a stakeholder I respect and resonate with out of many. Though she’s more of a topical herbal practitioner, she does herbal medicine the right way. Also, I’ll say that just the way conventional medicine is regulated to prevent the sale of counterfeit drugs, the same can be done with herbal medicine distribution and its sellers. The local herb seller also needs to be sensitized on the need to not only distribute herbs but also to make sure good quality, effective and efficient herbs are sourced and distributed.
To promote the importance of herbal medicine and spur its growth rate within and across the borders of Nigeria, what is Alluring herbals aspiring towards?
For now, Alluring Herbals is working on researching and formulating different products. In the long run, Alluring Herbals will focus on publicity and marketing. This way, Herbal products will become a norm in the country and outside the shores of Nigeria.
What’s your outlook on life? After going through the phase I went through in 2017, It was a rebirth for me. I began to live by the mantra: “I control my own thoughts. I control my own happiness. I control my own growth.”
I also firmly believe in self development and this has also helped set me on the right track especially career-wise.
What has the year 2022 been like for you?
Awesome. There has been self investment and I am delighted that it is paying off. There has been growth with the brand “Alluring
Herbal”. There has been constant learning like taking courses, writing exams, interacting with colleagues, attending seminars, reaching out to mentors and joining professional bodies Etc - All round development for the brand. I’m also excited that we got a permanent site which is a major breakthrough for the brand. With all of this going on, in 2023, Alluring Herbals is a brand to look out for.
Meet your God, In YOU…?
By Soma RoyMany years back while I was attending a Spiritual retreat in an Ashram, the teacher who was taking the class said something that changed my entire understanding of the Phenomenon called “GOD”. Yes that simple one liner story - One day God met Man crossing each other on the road, the Man and God both pointed their finger at each other and Said “I MADE YOU”. This simple powerful story just touched upon the right cord of my conscious Mind. God is worshiped and called the Supreme power by only one Species in the planet that’s called the Humans, rest no specie is bothered by it’s existence or absence. In a fraction of few seconds so many questions rushed from into my mind - then who created us? Why do we have so many gods? Why we fear god? Why we suffer ? Does god punishes us ? If we have created him then how can he create us ? Just could not understand where to find the answers to all my innumerable questions.
That’s when my research started, explore the Being and the Beyond. There are many analogies, analysis and philosophical data existing
to prove different point of views and studies. The Creator and the Creation if I may call it. Well who is the Creator? The zillions of Cosmic particles that changes its formations to form multi zillions of beings is our Supreme CREATOR, we named it as God, some Quantum Physics Scientists calls them the GOD PARTICLES. Where does this God particles are found? It’s flowing and floating in this entire existence which we loving call THE UNIVERSE.
The Magic Wand of our life is the Universe, a Deep Well of unlimited never ending abundance. Yes ! this beautiful Universe which we are part of is our Craftsman complimenting in all our creation. Every ions of cell that exists in this cosmic existence is interconnected. Hence We are the Creator of our Life. Now the question may come in your mind then why are we
not been able to change our life issues by ourselves? The answer is simple, it’s a culmination of collective consciousness. We all have elevated our consciousness in due course of life for decades and centuries. The Evolution of awareness of “who we are ? “ from “why we are ?” have been a natural process. In this Century in this planet our Specie HUMANs are marching towards acknowledging their super powers. We are the Master creators of this Existence till now. It’s time that we acknowledge our power, the GOD within us. The GOD is none other than our MIND. What the BRAIN creates in our mind that creates our external life. When we look around and see what we have created in this planet it amuses me with sheer joy. Whether it’s good bad or brutality we have generated from our mind. My answer to all my questions
I found. “What we think so shall we become” this phrase is pertinent because everyday the numerous thoughts that we create naturally creates our life. So being watchful of what we are thinking is a practice, which can be attended through meditations, chantings, religious rituals and various forms of Neurological Programs. The mind that is full of thoughts doesn’t understand judgements as to what is good or bad. Judgements are created with the reactions and response of the outcomes that we experience in this journey of life.
What has created this whole Diversity of Spiritual practices or Religious beliefs? The year long experiments and experiences that mankind went through led to the creation of various communities, of similar mindset that matched the Frequencies of human brain. These section of similar or like minded ideologies people in turn became the followers of various Spiritual practices or Religion. In turn it became their way of living. The Mind is most often lazy and hence it looks for easy ways and means of execution. A tried and tested model by some Great minds are followed by multiple zillions minds. Now the point is should we stop here ? Should we not explore and create our own cult for the betterment of this Planet?
Now than ever before facts figures and informations are readily available to Tap into the newer dimensions and develop new dynamics of connection, correlation and Co creation in this Planet.
We are much more aware than before, we have created access to various information resources due to developed Technologies. Then what stops us from creating the
new? A NEW EARTH, new approach towards life. New understanding and implementation of the older transcripts and excerpts from the laws of spiritual books and holy scriptures.
With this ever changing lifestyle and living are the old ideologies helping us in our growth ? When we have been the creator of the life, that we have been living so far, can’t we change the course once again for our own Well-being?
Instead of looking around why not MEET the GOD within, let’s do this with our collective consciousness and grow from here exponentially.
Let our asks be only to us, let not seek outside, let’s have respect for everyone’s thoughts, however that doesn’t mean we neglect our own conscious mind, our thoughts and beliefs.
We are that magnificent creation of this existence which has been blessed with the power to Create more in this world and conserve its resources for our own existence, otherwise like Dinosaurs someday some other specie would talk about our existence as part of historical evidences, found from archeological excavations. What should we do then?
Be more aware of our power, use it mindfully and never stop exploring beyond the horizon. This life will become more adventurous and thriving for people who believe in Beyond Boundaries. Boundaries are imaginary lines, which are created by our mind to control us. When we have infinite pool of power within then why do we stick to these imaginary lines?
So bounce forward and Start worshiping the GOD WITHIN. Visit the temple of your body where the MIND ( the God resides) daily.
Naz Turkish architect
Hello, my name is Naz, and I am a young Turkish architect who was born in 1996. I have been asked to write a few inspiring words about my life. This is easy for me as I have a wonderful life. I look at life as a journey that will never reach a pinnacle. Every day I wake up feeling blessed to be alive and knowing there will be new opportunities to grow. I appreciate my life, and love being alive. I am a person who cares and always runs my life with integrity as the core to my very being. I am empathic towards others, and I always listen before speaking. I am a person who sees the big picture, but also pays attention to the smallest of details. I am a person who sees not just the problem but also the solution. My dream is to be a better person each and every day. I know that life is all about continuous learning, and then using what has been learned to
excel.
I have heard others describe me as a person who is always positive, hardworking, and open-minded.
I am humbled and honored by these words. Even in my university days I worked hard earning extra money through teaching math to primary school kids.
Creativity is a big part of my job as an architect. I have quirks in my approach to life. For example, most people find daydreaming to be a waste time, but for me it is a source for being more productive and creative in my job.
I completed my BA Degree in Architecture in 2019. I have always looked at people who surround me in order to gain perspective and inspiration. My work experience has been diverse within the field of architecture including interior design, product design, restoration, and urban design.
Before I began my career, I was lucky to earn multiple internships. This experience taught much, and many of these things I use today in my journey toward success. For example, I have two Erasmus Internships and a scholarship. One of these was in Padua/ Italy and the other one was in Rotterdam/Netherlands. These internships helped me to improve my personality, and the way I view challenges. Living in various geographical places has given me appreciation for many different types of architecture. In all, I had more than five internships while I was studying. Each was invaluable in making me who I am today.
After graduating I continued to work as a project architect while pursuing other opportunities. After I graduated, I had the good fortune of being able to work with the most famous architect in Turkey. This person has proved to be a valued and appreciated mentor for me.
Currently I’m living in Dubai/ UAE. I am working as a Freelance Architect. Actually, I have two jobs as I am also working at international company as an Architect. My goal is to always being growing. I often go outside my comfort zone in an effort to forever be improving. This is important as it helps in maintaining and fostering creativity. I realize every day is a new chance to improve, and this gives me passion and amazing energy each and every new day.
...In my Research and continual service of helping Women Meet and Marry their Husbands, I have realized that there are many conflicting definitions and lack of clarity in what Women think they need in a Man.
Sometimes when you have this kind of conversation with women, they think that you are asking them to settle.
As a Certified Counselor called to Women Leadership, I understand the role that a good and a bad marriage can play in making a Woman’s Dreams successful. I must quickly add here and I will speak about this at a different time that, the essence of marriage is not to further your private or selfish agenda, rather it is to build a new Nation that will add Life and
Light to the World in collaboration with your Man and we would expatiate on that in a different episode.
But I realized that If the concept of Marriage is unclear, unidentified and clearly mis-understood, then the build up to the journey of marriage will be difficult, frustrating and confusing.
Let’s debunk 3 things that Marriage is not;
1. Marriage is NOT a Status Symbol
2. Marriage is NOT a Business Partnership
3. Marriage is NOT an Identity or Esteem Booster
There is a whole lot that Marriage is not, but I want us to get started with at least those 3.
What Women NEED in a Man versus what they think need.
Article Written by - SAGENEL (Nkechi Emmanuel-Layode)When you know what Marriage is NOT then you can start to seek “what Marriage is” (Let’s schedule that for a future episode, make sure to stay tuned to this column/corner)
For the purpose and definition of this particular article we have already established that Marriage is the coming together of two Growing and Ever-Learning Man and Woman for the purpose of co-creating together, a Vision that involves the Life and Light they both want to birth into the world through their Family.
This is a Basic Definition we can start with before we go in-depth in a different episode of “What Marriage really is”.
Having established this fact and understanding of what Marriage is as Wives to Be we must then become keen on Marrying Men that do not just make us “feel good” in the moment with sex, money or even fame, but men who have a track record and pattern of Worthy Character that will outlive emotions and eventually become a positive investment in the longterm of your Marriage.
It is important that you are not marrying or making a decision to marry for now, but for what the future holds for you both. Therefore this should influence and impact on how you make your
decisions to marry a Husband. You shouldn’t choose a Man or Marry a Man out of brokenness, broke-ness or status, you should marry a man for the real purpose of Marriage and what the Future holds for you both potentially.

“Shrink it and Pink it.”
By Sandi SaksenaThe ‘Pink Tax’ also referred to as the Women Tax describes the extra cost that only women pay for products they use, including very basic ones, just because they are aimed at women. So, we are ‘attracted’ to shocking pink packing and sweet fruity scents! And as we are led by our olfactory senses we ‘blindly pick up the pretty shiny sweet smelling stuff and mesmerized we shell out the more cash for higher priced stuff!!!
Why is pink more expensive that blue?
Why are female centric products pink/pastel with sparkles and flowers more expensive?
Why are male centric products black, grey, dark blue and cheaper?
Why are unisex products packaged and priced different to women often a smaller quantity and less durable?
The irrationality of gender pricing doesn’t only happen to women’s products but it also occurs in children’s products too. FactAcross the board products for female and male consumers shows
Girls
Toys cost more 55% of the time Clothing cost more 26% of the time
Boys
Toys costlier 8% of the time. Clothing costlier 7% of the time.
A careful observation while walking through the aisles of toy stores kids clothing in any mall you will notice that, in most cases, toys of the same brand and model intended for female cost more than for male, whether they are scooters, toys in general, or even board games.
Women
Clothing costlier 40% of the time
Personal care products costlier 56% of the time
Dry cleaning more expensive
Haircuts (short hair actually a male cut) more expensive
Men
Clothing costlier 32%of the time.
Personal care products costlier 13% of the time.
Dry cleaning cheaper Haircuts cheaper
Academic studies, government studies, and women carrying on their daily lives have ‘stumbled’ upon many products marketed toward women that cost more than nearly identical products targeted toward men—and far fewer examples of the opposite! Overall, products marketed to women cost 42% more! The ‘logic’ women need smaller versions of clothing, different cuts fashions so this cost somewhere between 3050% more?
Having males in the house my household shopping list includes shaving creams, razors face creams and shampoos for men. By habit I look at prices (the financial planning training, keeping track of inflation!). I discovered long ago that the ‘pretty pink feminine’ version of razors, shaving-gels
skincare products were a load of marketing gimmicks aimed at the ‘unconscious’ ‘blinkered’ shopper who operates like an automaton. Walk down the aisle pick up stuff why because we ‘always’ use the same stuff! Gendered products are mostly stacked separately to further obscure the price difference. We are helpfully ‘efficiently’ led down the aisle for women’s products, men’s products etc. cleverly and carefully placed on shelves for our convenience and so we don’t ‘waste’ precious time looking for them!!
There are a lot of gender stereotypes in marketing and pricing all over the world , some I find totally discriminatory a recent example is Lebanon where 7 male members of the Lebanese cabinet announced a new list of 300 subsidized basic commodities as a response to the acute economic crisis in the country. As soon as this was approved and announced, women noticed that their most necessary needs had no place in the list, including sanitary pads and tampons which according to research has had a 320% increase in Lebanon. The price of a standard sanitary pad pack ranges between 13,000 and 34,000 Lebanese pounds, compared to its previous price of 3000 pounds. It is relevant to note that according to Wikipedia Since about 2004, many countries have abolished or reduced sales taxes for tampons and pads, including Kenya, Canada, India, Colombia, Australia, Germany and Rwanda. In India the government has completely exempted sanitary pads from GST by charging a 0% tax rate on the sale of sanitary pads By far the most insidious ‘taxing’ is on what every females needs very month sanitary towels and while governments may have reduced or removed taxes women
YOUR BUSINESS YOUR
are still being ‘penalized’ for being women! Condoms should be sold, sanitary towels should be given for free. Sex is a choice; menstruation is not!!
Let’s take dry cleaning as another example. When questioned why women’s garments cost more to launder/dry clean this was the ‘logic’, “The machines and how they press it, that’s the variation! Ostensibly, the pressers used after washing are only for men’s shirts, so pressing women’s shirts with a whole other system costs more. Women’s shirts just don’t fit in their standard machine, apparently. My question is with innovation new products sprouting up 24/7 worldwide they haven’t gotten themselves an upgraded version for ironing/ steam pressing women’s clothes? Really?
These discussion and deliberation have been going on for some time! The fact is that female centric stuff not only cost more but contain less of the product. Why do female consumers in many parts of the world pay more than their males counterparts be it shampoos, razors, soaps, creams, clothes, toys, games etc. This by the way applies to where we live as well
Budget conscious shopping
Buy the men’s version of razors, shower gel, deodorants
Gendered products are sometimes shelved separately to further obscure price differences. look before you buy!
Avoid pink and girly toys buy gender neutral they are usually hardier and last longer
Calculate costs as without the math, it’s really hard to know
While several people are still oblivious to the existence of ‘pink tax’ leading organizations local and international must come up with initiatives to spread awareness about the practices causing a hole in our pockets. Sad to realize that this price disparity accompanies girls and women during all stages of life. As adults, they also find more expensive prices for deodorants, shampoos, conditioners, sanitary pads among others.
Women, who generally earn less than men on average, pay a premium for items marketed to them simply because they aren’t aware of this so-called “pink” tax. For women who do not earn a salary they are at a bigger disadvantage, the repercussions of which is beyond the scope of this article
We the females don’t realize how badly we’re getting ripped off because we are so conditioned and hardly ever stop think, leave alone to question, Many of us are fortunate enough to buy female essentials but for a majority even buying sanitary pads is too expensive.
For all of us women now is the time to question. With social media paying an increasing role in our lives hashtags like #genderpricing, #pinktax and #gendertax, calling for an end to ‘luxury’ taxes on these products and gendered pricing in general, must be made more ‘influencing’.

READING for PLEASURE:
unbeatable experience for children from 6 - 12
Reading, at least for quite a few people I have met, has always conjured images of a teacher asking students to “read pages 74 to 85 for tonight”, a student having to answer several questions from memory on what she or he read, or a means of giving students grades.
Some of us, however, have been reading from a very young age purely for pleasure and entertainment. When I was young, I would read anything I could get my hands on - stories, signs, the ingredients on a cereal box and even the instructions on a shampoo bottle. Alongside reading for pleasure and entertainment, I picked up new words in different contexts, a wide variety of everyday and specialized writing models, as well as stimulated my inquisitiveness when I wondered why I could consume iron in my cereal but could not eat steel wool as I would cotton candy.
Why is reading for pleasure an important part of a child’s life? When we read, we can experience events and situations that have not actually happened to us, some of
which could be dangerous. We can experience all of those from the comfort and safety of a recliner, bed, or a favorite relaxation spot. We can share the experience of a boy who was involved in a plane crash when the pilot suffered a heart attack in the story of “Hatchet” by Gary Paulsen, or on a more positive note, a person who went from rags to riches through hard work and perseverance.
Through reading, we become aware of different cultures in the world both past and present, from the rituals of the Aztecs to the serenity of Mahatma Gandhi as well as personalize other people’s experiences when solving everyday problems and resolving conflicts. The more we read, the more knowledgeable we become. We develop our ability to process our knowledge, which enables us to project into the future and make the right decisions when the need arises.
Another area that we develop through reading is values. Reading, especially stories and novels, gives us insights into values such as respect and honesty as well freedom and responsibility.
Our brain thrives on experience. Firsthand experience is when we solve our own problems or when we see the Golden Gate Bridge for the first time. Secondary experience is when we hear or read about them. Given our life span and limited means, it is difficult to accumulate a wide range of first-hand experiences. Our ancestors had it even worse than us. They had to tend to everyday necessities which limited their scope of experiences to for example, tending livestock and farming.
However, through secondary experience of reading, we can accumulate more in a few hours than in lifetime. We can find out more by reading about the Golden Gate Bridge than by driving across it. We can share the dreams of the designer and the tragedies of those who worked on it. We can experience the problems faced and the solutions found. We can read in awe about the sheer magnitude of the structure and develop in ourselves a can-do attitude. What’s more, we can come back again and again to re-experience it by using a wonderful human ability called reading. Yes, our brain is vast and thrives on reading. Over a century ago Emily Dickinson captured in a poem what brain science is only peeking into in the present. The Brain is Wider
The brain is wider than the sky, For put them side by side, The one will the other include, With ease, and you beside, The brain is deeper than the sky, For, hold them blue to blue, The one the other will absorb, As sponges, buckets do, The brain is just the weight of God, For lift them, pound for pound, And they will differ, if they do, As syllable from sound.
Emily DickinsonAccording to some researchers, the brain is bigger than the universe. The number of atoms in the universe is estimated to be 10 with 100 zeros after it. The average brain contains 10,000,000,000 individual neurons or nerve cells.
• Talk about the parts they liked best.
• Tell how characters felt/what they thought at different partsof the story.
• Hypothesize how things could have been different.
• Talk about similar incident that happened to them.
• Predict how things may develop in the future.
Due to lack of space in this article, a lot of details on the actual implementation procedures have not been included which I would be more than happy to talk about and discuss the actual implementation with interested parents and educators. This will include management skills, such as how the instructions are given to children, using group voice level, forming groups and when and where a parent or teacher should interfere in the process.
But one thing is for sure reading is an unbeatable learning experience.
Each neuron can interact with other neurons in not just one, but many ways. In 1974, the number of interconnections was estimated at 10 followed by 800 zeros! 10,000,000,000 neurons each with the possibility of interacting with another neuron in 10 followed 800 zeros ways renders a number that googleplex cannot even begin to describe! Yes, Emily Dickinson was right. Our brain is bigger than the universe and the brain thrives on experience which life and reading can provide.
So how can we implement reading for pleasure at home? Classrooms in many parts of the world are formal and may still be a long way from the relaxed places we would like them to be. But there may be a way to get around that.
In order to help children get a profound reading experience, some of the things children can do when reading are:
• Solve the problem in the story in a different way.

Art & Culture
A Perspective from the Natural World
-Anum FarooqIn a modern world of great chaos and uncertainty, balance and calm are the need of the hour. We only have to read the headlines, from the turmoil of Covid-19 to great changes locally, regionally, and globally, every facet of society is undergoing some form of turmoil and transformation. As humans, perhaps it all becomes a little overbearing, and herein art and culture comes to play a great role. A bridge between nature, aesthetics and the synthesis of harmony is an evolving trend in the world of art. One that is not new, but ancient as humanity in itself.
We have all heard of Claude Monet, the prominent Impressionist painter of the 19th century, who painted nature as he saw it, with many of his infamous paintings emanating from his gardens in Giverny, situated in the region of Normandy in northern France. The human qualities associated with his paintings such as the series of ‘Water Lilies’, ‘The Rose Walk’ and ‘The Japanese Footbridge’, evoke
a sense of calm, a depth to explore and at times nature distilled into colours and an almost abstract form. Each viewer of Monet’s painting may evoke in themselves a personal emotional response. The source of inspiration for Monet, were the wonders of nature and perhaps his ideal world in his garden, in Giverny where he spent many decades. The human perspective is equally important, every artist has unique insight, a specific style, and a hidden story, that adds another dimension to explore in their artwork. Monet was partially sighted after his cataract diagnosis, and he perceived colours in a particular way. The greens, whites and blues began to muddy into yellow and purple tones. His work also began to take on more of an abstract quality with freer and larger brushstrokes such as his painting ‘The Artist’s House Seen from the Rose Garden’.
Pissarro was born in 1830 and was the 19th Century French Impressionist painter, who revelled in portraying nature in its’ authentic glory. His paintings include Jalais Hill, Pointose (1807), which according to The Metropolitan Museum of Art “established Pissarro’s reputation as an innovative painter of the rural French landscape.” Even his contemporary critic at the time, 19th century, Emile Zola stated regarding Pissarro’s painting; “this is the modern countryside… And this little valley, this hill have a heroic simplicity and forthrightness. Nothing would been more banal were it not so grand. From ordinary reality the painter’s temperament has drawn a rare poem of life and strength”.
Such is the subject matter of nature in art that it allows depth of discovery. As a self-taught artist, I too have been touched by the miracle of nature and often have dared to feel the intensity of the wonders of the natural world.
“I have nature and art and poetry, and if that is not enough, what is enough?” were the infamous words of Vincent van Gogh, who posthumously become one of the most significantly known artists in Western art history.
“Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places, where other people see nothing” mused Camille Pissarro.
From an early age, I have been instinctively drawn to wilderness and have often without a second thought, embarked on exploring its vastness. Often painting intuitively, with a focus on human perspectives and insights guided by nature. My paintings portray an abstract form of nature, almost a distilled essence from a human viewpoint.
The painting ‘The Meditation” is inspired by the sky and the sea, a contemplation on the clouds, and the waves beneath them. In search of a tranquillity and harmony, through an everyday journey in nature.
engage with the sky above and the miracles of the Earth we walk upon.
Art is that universal language that can cross that unspoken barrier and encourage each and everyone of us to ponder upon the bridge between nature and human harmony. Would it be too strange to say out aloud that nature forms an art culture in itself, one that we see as a pattern through the history of humanity. Each and every era has produced artists that have been passionately absorbed in the natural world. Perhaps it is time that we too as ordinary and brilliant as we all are, embark upon an adventure exploring the
give you your naïve impression of the scene in front of you.”
‘The Transcendental Tree’ which was completed on the occasion of Earth Day is a metaphysical exploration between worlds aligned with nature. Going beyond the mere observation and reflection within the natural world, by focussing on the environmental factors that make up local, regional, and global ecosystems.
Nature encompasses everything around us, from the cracks of modern life we see an overflowing of the roots and shoots of the natural world. Perhaps, it is time that we ourselves actively
wilderness. As well as translating our perspectives onto the blank canvases of modern life, in the process adding to the art and cultural heritage of this expansive theme.
Perhaps, Monet’s advice to his students would be an apt starting point for us all; “When you go out to paint, try to forget what objects you have in front of you, a tree, a house, a field or whatever. Just think of this: here is a small square of blue, pink, an oval of green, a stripe of yellow, and paint them exactly as they appear to you, exact colours and shapes until they

What is the most IMPORTANT thing
By Pikki NandaSolution-Focused coaching actions
an immediate shift from “Why” to “How”
Most complex problems do have a solution, sometimes we have to think about them in a different way. Get clear on what you wish to achieve and how you wish to achieve it.
The what and the how are of equal importance. The long term view will allow you to be less reactive and more thoughtful and innovative. When we imagine the bigger picture, our planning and decision making has space to allow for a host of possibilities.
Solution-Focused Coaching
As a Solution-Focused Coach I place key emphasis on nudging the client to a desired future state, and create a path that assists the client in achieving that state. One of the biggest advantages of solution-focused coaching is that it takes a positive approach to change. This belief can empower people, and it can encourage them to become self-confident , self-reliant, and positive to take the leap in their desired state
As a coach I take up the role of a curious guide walking alongside the coachee, not a “wise sage” who gives out advice.
it’s forward-focused, futurefocused and solution-focused which improves the coachee’s thinking, they think differently with an open view to possibilities and more effectively.
A lot of people are focused on just goals, on the outcomes, others are focused on emotions and feelings, some are focused on purpose and belief. Go with what best works for you.
The Affirm element allows you to reaffirm your achievements and successes and to recognize where you have done things well. From there on you can look at the steps you need to take to build on them and pave the way for your future success.
Coaching involves unlocking a person’s potential to maximize their performance. As a coach I get excited about each win of my clients.
Mentoring
Mentoring partnerships can be
mutually beneficial and rewarding – on both professional and personal levels. As a mentor I offer valuable insight into what it takes to get ahead and be a “sounding board” helping the mentee decide on the best course of action in difficult situations.
I have gained a personal sense of satisfaction from knowing that I have been instrumental in the progress of my mentees with developing their knowledge, skills, communicate more effectively , expanded thinking with new perspectives to progress ahead with focus and the opportunity for expanding your network.
I have mentored as a volunteer with Cherie Blair foundation and Aspire and this helped me learn how to work with people with whom I did not have any connection, demonstrating patience, guidance and support, helping them figure out the best path forward. The more I works on a one-to-one basis, as a mentor there is always potential to instigate surprising change.
Possibility is all about curiosity and openness which leads you to flexibility.
You can get curious by asking:
• What matters most to me?
• What do I need and want

today and tomorrow?
• What is the next right move? Are You Ready to Commit And Change Your Life?
As incredibly flattering as it is to be featured in this cool magazine, I was also a little reluctant as I wondered what I could possibly share. And then I realized how much I have learned from so many people of all ages, because they shared their stories and insights honestly and openly. It’s a motto I hear my mum (who is also my colleague!) say often, ‘Together we rise’, and for that we need to share and learn from each other.
I just turned 24 and looking back over the last couple of years since my I graduated from Murdoch University with a Degree in Screen Production, I can see how much the experiences of this period have shaped my personality and approach to life. Its only when you stop to put your thoughts together for an article that you realize we never stop getting shaped by every encounter, every person we meet, every experience you go through.
So here are some of my learnings that I’d like to share in the hope that they are of use to someone who needs to hear them at this point in time.
Ria Rachel Mathews
(Digital Content Producer BMC Kinetic)• Being in your early 20s is a very confusing time. Everyone you know is at a different stage in their life based on their career decisions, which can make you doubt whether you’ve made the right choices or if you should be doing something differently. You are on your own journey, all you can do is focus on doing the best you can and ensuring you are well equipped and ready for when the opportunity you’ve been waiting for comes your way.
• Work ethic: I believe it’s possible to be an accomplished professional without compromising on kindness and establishing genuine relationships with people.
• Make the most of what ever resources you have at your disposal. You don’t always get everything on your list! Especially in today’s world where everyone is expected to adapt to new roles and responsibilities quickly, the ability to go with the flow is highly valued.
• Making mistakes is an integral part of personal growth, it does not mean you are failing. It’s nice when you are supported by people at home and at work who give you the space to make mistakes and learn from them. But if you don’t have this, make sure you are clear about valuing each mistake as a learning experience.
• I’m immensely grateful for the support system I have in my family and friends, they’ve never let me give in to self-doubt or short-sell myself, or measure my success against other people’s accomplishments. I can’t stress enough how important it is to build a strong support network of people who will always be honest with you and look out for you.
• Sometimes it seems like nothing is right anywhere. What helps me at such times is to see what is within my control and make small positive changes wherever I can, it may seem insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but no gesture goes unappreciated.

Pinktober Breast Cancer Awareness Event With Gargash Hospital & Linbiz Community
This year as usual, the LINBIZ COMMUNITY platform in collaboration with Gargash Hospital put together a session for breast cancer awareness at the Hospital premises. It was tagged the PINKTOBER EVENT.
The attendance was not only the LINBIZ COMMUNITY members, but also women from different organizations who are concerned about their health and wellness. All the speakers are women from health proffesiinals backgrounds. Some are also the survivor queens and some are trailblazers who are still going through the stage of cancer and hoping to surely survive the deadly disease called Cancer.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in women, accounting for more than 1 in 10 new cancer diagnoses each year. It is the second most common cause of death from cancer among women in the world. Anatomically, the breast has milk-producing glands in front of the chest wall. They lie on the pectoralis major muscle, and there are ligaments support the breast and attach it to the chest wall. Fifteen to 20 lobes circularly arranged to form the breast. The fat that covers the lobes determines the breast size and shape. Each lobe is formed by lobules containing the glands responsible for milk production in response to hormone stimulation. Breast cancer always evolves silently. Most of the patients discover their disease during their routine screening. Others may present with an accidentally discovered breast lump, change of breast shape or size, or nipple discharge. However, mastalgia is not uncommon. Physical examination, imaging, especially mammography, and tissue biopsy must be done to diagnose breast cancer. The survival rate improves with early diagnosis. The tumor tends to spread lymphatically and hematologically, leading to distant metastasis and poor prognosis. This explains and emphasizes the importance of breast cancer screening programs.
