The Marfan Foundation celebrated its 13th annual Heartworks St. Louis gala at the Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis in that municipality’s downtown on March 19. Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and a specialty rose-andpomegranate Champagne cocktail as they bid on silent auction items, which included an autographed guitar from Sir Paul McCartney and shoes worn by NBA star Marvin Bagley III. Hosting the gala were Rebecca and Alan Braverman, with St. Louis-based party band Groovethang providing live music. During the event, the foundation presented cardiac surgeon Nicholas Kouchoukos with its 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award.
