“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:1 14:1--3

Obituary CHERICE NICOLE DAUGHTRY, the daughter of Cynthia and Curtis Harris Sr., and David T. Wright, was born on February 21, 1989 in Baltimore Maryland. On Tuesday, April 13, 2021 after a lengthy illness, God saw fit in His infinite wisdom to call one of his angels from labor to reward. Cherice, affectionately known as “Reesemo Nicole” completed her formal education at Dover High School in Dover, PA where she graduated. She also attended Yti for Medical Assistant and HACC (Harrisburg Area Community College) for Criminal Justice. While attending college, she worked for Fed Ex. Later, she was employed by Maryland Transit Administration (MTA), where she worked until her illness prevented her to do so. Reesemo Nicole was brought up in the fear admonition of the Lord and she gave her life to Christ at an early age. Reesemo loved God and was always willing to serve. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Oliver Missionary Baptist Church. Under the leadership of her grandfather, Rev. Dr. William H. Daughtry Sr. (Pastor Emeritus) and her uncle that she called her second dad, Bishop Dr. Dwight D. Dodd Sr., Cherice served on various ministries: choir, usher board, kitchen, dance, and youth ministries. During her time at Mt. Oliver, Reesemo was able to form a special bond with many people, including her godmother, Sis. Ernestine Butts, who preceded her death. Reesemo absolutely loved her family and friends. Her heart was big, and she was gracious and kind. She would make you laugh, smile and cry. She would give you a piece of her mind, but she would also comfort you with a gift. She loved to cook, but her specialty was baking. Her cakes would melt in your mouth like cotton candy. She enjoyed doing crafts with her mother, sister, and daughter. She loved to do hair, event planning, and helped others whenever she could. During Cherice’s final months, she still put others before herself. She would plan dinners, activities, and pay for the bill herself. She enjoyed shopping online and catching up with her family and friends on social media. Reese wanted to see everybody get along and smiling. She wanted those she loved to enjoy life and one another. To know her is to love her. She touched our lives in such a special way. Some of Cherice’s family and friends have preceded her in death, including her favorite cousin, Da’Nel Brown. We believe they all are together in heaven singing God’s praises. Cherice leaves to cherish her memory: her daughters, Markia Jones, Jordyn Boyd and Ava Love; her son, Adonis Boyd; her parents, Cynthia and Curtis Harris Sr., and David T. Wright; siblings, Curtis Harris Jr. (Shauna), Christopher Garrison, Mylisa Harris, Ciera Harris, and Courtney Harris; grandparents, Dr. William H. Daughtry Sr. and Lady Anna Daughtry; nieces and nephews, Tamera, Kamyia, Chanyce, Maisyn, Lydon, Legend, Heaven, Ava, Darrin, Kevon, and Tyrrell; and a host of special aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and god-family.

MOMMY, I got to spend four years of my life with you. Even though I don’t understand what’s happening right now, I will grow to know that you loved me very much. Love Always, Stink Stink (Adonis)

Farewell Messages SIS, Our words I have hidden in my heart, and our bond will never be forgotten. Love, Courtney MY BABY was hurting so much for so long and took it in stride, still being selfless worrying about everyone and everything else…Sounds like me to a T, but even though that is the case, the selfish in us would want her here still fighting through pain because we were not ready. But her and God had other plans… I have an empty space that will never fill again but I feel comfort that she touched so many others and she lives through my niece and nephew, and through all of us who loves her. With love, your brother Chris TO MY SISSY POOH. Just the other day we made plans to hit the beach and travel this summer. All the laughter and crazy conversations we shared play over and over in my mind. The tears haven’t stopped flowing since the day you left our lives. I know you’re still watching over us like you always have, making sure that Everyone and Everything is alright. My only prayer is that you’re resting peacefully in that perfect place. I will miss you dearly and always. You’re dear loving big sister, Shauna IN LOVING MEMORY OF A SPECIAL SISTER, Sister, since you passed away, life just hasn’t been the same. I would move heaven and earth to have her here again. The time we spent together meant the world to me. Your laughter and your precious smile as we grew up so happily. I’m so grateful for the years we had and the closeness that we shared. Your heart was so kind and thoughtful. I always knew you truly cared. You were a wonderful sister. I miss you to no end, but more than just my family, I lost a very special friend. I Love You and Miss You Dearly Lil Sis… Always and Forever, your Big Brother Curtis CHERICE MY DEAREST SISTER, You were such an inspiration to me. I will always remember the many talks we had. Your smile, your laughter I will never forget. Whenever we were together, we always had fun talking about life. Thank you so much for what you instilled in me as a young woman and a young mother. Now that you are gone, my heart aches but I know that you are with God and in His presence, you are Healed. No more pain. Forever Loved by Your Sister Mylisa CHERICE, We didn’t get along growing up. We were complete opposites. But I am glad that we got to spend our last time together becoming very close. I miss you big sis. I love you very much. I am going to keep those promises I made to you. P.S… See you in heaven when I get there. I Love You, Ciera

BOO-KEE,

You were the love of my life and the best part of me I remember all the time that we shared together. Though you are gone I will always hold you in my heart. Forever my Boo-Kee you will be. Love Daddy

Our Father Knows What’s Best for us Our Father knows God never hurts us needlessly, whats best for us, And He never wastes our pain So why should we complain For every loss He send to us We always want the sunshine, Is followed by rich gain… But He knows there must be rain And when we count We love the sound of laughter the blessings And the merriment of cheer, That God has so freely sent, But our hearts would We will find no cause lose their tenderness for murmuring If we never shed a tear… And no time to lament… Our Father tests us often With suffering and with sorrow, He tests us, not to punish us, But to help us meet tomorrow… For growing tree are strengthened When they withstand the storm, And the sharp cut of a chisel Gives the marble grace and form…

For our Father loves His children, And to Him all things are plain, So He never sends us pleasure When the soul’s deep need in pain… So whenever we are troubled, And when everything goes wrong, It is just God working in us To make our spirit strong.
