Aquatic Fitness Benefits Water Resistance
Using the resistance of water in exercise is like exercising with weights or machines on land but safer. (According to your needs and limitations)
Buoyancy
Approximately 90% of your body weight is buoyant; so you are bearing only 10% of your weight when exercising in chest deep water, which reduces stress on your joints & muscles.
Stress Relief
The soothing comfort of the water aids in alleviating mental and emotional stresses.
Social
Speaks for itself. Social connections have proven health benefits.
Fun
The aquatic environment and facility atmosphere make it a great place to laugh and have fun while doing something great for your mind and body.
There are many aquatic fitness aids to help maximize the effect of your exercise, including removable stairs and an aquatic lift into the main pool, aquatic wheelchairs to help those in need to navigate the ramp into the therapy teach pool. There are also massaging jets available in the therapy pool. Aquatic Fitness Team
Cooling Effect
With your continual movement in cool water your body is kept from overheating. Tami
