AdventureZone Daycamp will turn into a different reality TV gameshow each day this week! American Ninja Warrior, The Amazing Race, Fear Factor, Jeopardy, and Game of Games are our planned daily themes. If you’re up for anything and have a sense of adventure, this week is for you!
Construct an underwater viewer to observe everything that’s hiding below the ocean’s surface, learn about our local ocean creatures, and participate in a beach cleanup! Highlights will include water games, slip-andsliding, swimming at the beach, and a beachside BBQ!

If you live for creativity and the fine arts, this week is for you! Themespecific activities include painting, sculpting, architecture, music, poetry, theatre, and dance. Register to discover your artistic potential and to show off your talents to the other campers and your leaders!
Calling all animal lovers! All of our crafts, games, and STEM activities this week will focus on animals. We will take advantage of our location at Transfer Beach to scope out the local marine life. We will also explore Ladysmith’s animal hubs and perhaps even have a visit from our leaders’ furry friends!
This week we will incorporate aspects of biology, chemistry, physics, psychology, astronomy, and medicine into every day of daycamp in a fun an educational way! Participate in an egg drop competition to defy gravity, trick your brain with optical illusions, and join in on daily science demonstrations!
This week we will cram as many sports as possible into the five days of daycamp, including basketball, soccer, baseball, kickball, gymnastics, swimming, golf, and many more! Even invent your own sport with a group of friends and teach it to the other campers!
At AdventureZone Daycamp we spend every day outdoors, but this week we will take our outdoor exposure to the next level! We will learn about our local wildlife and why it is important to protect the environment. Hike the Holland Creek trail, practice survival skills, and participate in wilderness challenges!
Let your imagination run wild this week! Become a fairy, mermaid/ merman, unicorn, jedi, witch/wizard, or your favourite superhero and explore your magical abilities through crafting and games. A multi-day project this week will be using teamwork (and our magic powers) to build and then slay a larger than life papier-mache dragon!

Youth Youth Zone Fitness Blender (13-18yrs) Youth Zone Fitness Blender is a series of fitness and wellness classes specifically for teens. Participants will also receive a 1-month facility pass and Fitness Centre Orientation upon the complete of at least 4 of 6 classes.

Junior Lifeguard Camp (8-13yrs) Junior Lifeguard camp is an action packed aquatic challenge for those who love the water and who want more than learn to swim lessons. Designed by the Lifesaving Society for a serious purpose but the process is pure fun. Lots of lifeguard related activities with skill development based on personal-best achievement. Transitional level that transfers the preschooler to the care of the Instructor. Using games and activities, swimmers learn to open their eyes under water, further develop basic floats and glides, & swim 1 meter.
Salamander Using games and activities, swimmers learn to swim 2 meters, further develop basic floats and increase their distance on front and back glide. Front swim and roll-over glide are also included.

Using games and activities, swimmers learn to swim 5 meters, increase their distance using buoyant objects, increase their front and back glide with kick, and develop their roll-over glide, side glide and front swim. Through games and other fun activities, swimmers learn to swim 5 meters on their front and back, perform a dolphin kick and begin using rhythmic breathing. Through fun activities, swimmers perform a front and back swim for 10 meters. Swimmers work on developing their flutter kick and perform a distance swim of 15 meters.

The main pool is a four-lane, 25-metre pool featuring a diving board, basketball hoops, rope swing, aquatic lift, removable stairs, slides, climbing wall and a water run-way. The therapy pool is accessible by ramp and has a shallow end depth of zero sloping to four feet (aquatic wheelchairs are available for moving from change rooms into therapy pool). Whirlpool is a combination of turbulent air and hot water pumped into the pool. The aquatic area also features a dry sauna. **Children under 7 years must be accompanied in water and within arm’s reach of parent or person 19 years plus. (2 children/1 adult)** Sunday

Drop In Aquatic Fitness Programs Get in shape, stay active, and improve your health with these drop in aquatic fitness classes led by our amazing aquatic team. These ‘commitment-free’ classes are included with a drop-in admission or any of our monthly/punch passes. Aquafit A highly energized aquatic fitness workout delivered by certified fitness instructors. These classes provide a well-rounded, head-to-toe workout. Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:30-9:30am
Deep H2O These invigorating, impact-free classes work and tone all muscle groups. Participants combine cardiovascular work, deep-water running, jogging, bicycling and cross-country skiing movements. Class focuses on muscular strength motions that work the body’s major muscle groups as well as motions that work the core and improve balance. Adaptive Fitness A program for clients with arthritis and other mobility limitations. Take advantage of our qualified, experienced staff that have the expertise to personalize your workout by accommodating individual needs. Monday to Friday

Nifty Fifties An opportunity for those 50 years and over to improve cardiovascular fitness and strength levels, plus a chance to socialize with friends. Enjoy a 60-minute fitness class from 2:00-3:00pm with one lane available for those who would like to swim lengths. The therapy pool is also open during this time for those looking for a quiet time in the warmer pool for self-led water therapy.
Advanced Aquatics Bronze Medallion/Bronze Cross Bronze Medallion/ Bronze Cross is an exciting program encompassing lifesaving principles through the components of water rescue education, judgement, knowledge, skills and fitness. Candidates develop the ability to perform simple to complex rescues. This course is a prerequisite for National Lifeguard. Drop In Fitness Programs Get in shape, stay active, and improve your health with these drop in group fitness classes led by our fabulous fitness team. These ‘commitment-free’ classes are included with a drop-in admission or any of our monthly/punch passes (**with the exception of Saturday Spin). Fitness Lite 1 Gentle and easy on the joints! Class includes a warm-up, easy to follow choreographed cardio, safe joint friendly strength, balance, and core exercises and concludes with a gentle stretch for all the muscles worked. Cardio Circuit A ‘do-it-all’ HIGH INTENSITY circuit style class that will get your heart pumping and muscles strong! Challenge your body’s ability using a variety of equipment and compound muscle movements. No ‘holds’ permitted for 1 month passes. 12 month passes can be placed on ‘hold’ for a minimum of two weeks two times per pass. A scheduled monthly payment plan is available for 12 month passes. Ask reception for more details. ALL PASSES CAN BE USED IN BOTH THE POOL AND FITNESS CENTRE, AS WELL AS ANY DROP-IN FITNESS CLASSES

Programs are subject to cancellation due to insufficient registration. If this occurs, a full refund will be issued. In the event that a program or an individual class is cancelled, every attempt will be made to have the class or program rescheduled.

Refunds Refunds may be given for withdrawals 5 days prior to the start of the program, subject to a $5 refund processing fee. No withdrawals or refunds 4 days or less before course start date. In cases of extended illness or injury, a prorated refund or credit may be granted upon provision of a medical note. Classes missed due to sickness, vacation, or other reasons will not be refunded or credited.
Leisure Access Program Parks, Recreation & Culture is committed to providing accessible and affordable recreation programs. Families living within Town boundaries with a combined family income at or below the Statistics Canada Low Income Threshold are eligible to apply for the Leisure Access Program.
