We appreciate your understanding.
PLEASE NOTE: Arrive 10 minutes early for class in order to allow time for pre-screening. No late arrivals will be permitted to attend. We have made modifications to some dry-land fitness programs due to the latest province-wide restrictions. Look for MODIFIED beside these course descriptions on the following pages. Many of the guidelines put out by the PHO reference low intensity and high intensity group exercise. Low intensity is difficult to define. What may be considered low intensity for one person may be high intensity for another. Low intensity group exercise does not cause a sustained and accelerated rate of breathing and does not involve close contact with other people. Our fitness instructors have modified programs to help ensure patrons are kept within the ‘low intensity’ range. Some examples of modifications may include: • slower tempos/speeds • focus on form, not exertion • lighter weights • shorter class duration • smaller class sizes and physical distancing measures Unfortunately, some higher intensity programs had to be cancelled until February 5th. If all goes well, we will be able to offer these programs after February 5th.

Registered Aquatic Fitness Programs This Winter, the Aquatic Team at Ladysmith Parks, Recreation and Culture is pleased to offer a variety of Aquatic Fitness Classes designed with all fitness levels, goals and interests in mind. Rules and regulations surrounding COVID-19 do not allow for drop-in participation at this time. Because of this, classes have been scheduled MONTHLY, allowing you to register for a smaller period (average 3-4 classes). Registration allows instructors to properly prepare for class sizes, and allows the team to communicate to participants any changes to programming or additional safety measures that may arise. The programs below are included in punch passes. Please note, while you can use your punch passes, you must still register in advance for the entire month, due to compliance with the Provincial Health protocols. If you do not have a punch pass, registration prices for these programs are dependent on AGE (age drop-in rate X number of sessions = registration price). Please see admission and registration information on page 2 for further details.
We have made modifications to some aquatic fitness programs due to the latest province-wide restrictions. Look for MODIFIED beside the course descriptions listed below. Some examples of modifications may include: • slower tempos/speeds • focus on form, not exertion • smaller class sizes and physical distancing measures Deep H2O MODIFIED 8:30-9:30am
