ABOUT ME LAIA MUÑOZ GOMÀ

My name is Laia Muñoz and I am a final-year student who is about to graduate with a four year bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Elisava university.

Having stayed for long periods of time in other countries I have become an organized and open minded person who can adapt quickly to changes and thrives on new tasks.

I have worked on a variety of projects from architecture, urban, exhibition and retail design. I have also undertaken investigation into trends, colours, light and shade which has enabled me to develop a creative way of working.

I am very conceptually minded and I have an eye for detail. I believe in a strong relationship between the strategy of a project and its precise detail.

I am also interested in graphic and branding design. I enjoy strong relationships with my experienced colleagues and external partners whether they are engineers, graphic or product designers.

I am a designer with a real passion for my work and with a big desire to learn. I am always searching for the best way to present my work and I take pride in my ability to work closely with my clients to develop and deliver imaginative design solutions with real integrity.

El Jardín de las Delicias reflects the most representative aspects of sense the Il Giardinetto restaurant. It is a window shop that communicates the identity of the restaurant in a poetic way. Long time ago Pomés wanted to create a restaurant where eating pasta was a gladness so the naming of the place comes from Boscos’s painting which signifies the greed and the eating pleasure.

So I took these three elements and I created a cocktail cup garden which implies the essence of Il Giardinetto.

PRODUCTO

From the beginning, I wanted to represent the most characteristic concepts of the restaurant. Firstly, there is the name of the restaurant. Secondly there is the product, which it could be the Italian food or the cocktails that the restaurant offers, and finally there is the personal space where these have been defined.

SECOND YEAR DEGREE (2012) DURATION: 7 WEEKS PROJECT COLLABORATORS: MARTA RUBIO MARC SORONELLAS

SWAP is a cocktail bar aimed at Erasmus people who are spending time in Barcelona. We decided to design a space where they would find other people like them, so that is why we made a cozy, warm and friendly cocktail bar. Therefore, this space is located in las Ramblas. At first glance, it looks like a little bit serious, but when you are in it you will realize that it is totally the opposite. The objective of this project is to make a space where people can easily move inside it.

04 FIRST FLOOR PLAN SCALE: 1/100 We straight on with the idea of the continue platform exaggerating the organic form. And inside it there are tables with some tabourets which can be moved. The bar is situated in the centre taking the most attention out of the space.. About the graphic part, we chose SWAP for the naming. Thereafter, we had to create the logo, so we wanted to made one that simulates a stamp. We also thought making all the graphic part following this idea: designing the menu like a passport, and the business card too.
