IS THE MEANING OF SUCCESS ?

Attila the Hun is successful because he united ahttp://www.hotflick.net/ pictures/006NTM_Patrick_Gallagher_001.html group of stubborn and independent people into one empire. Attila brought the end of one of the biggest and longest reigning empire in the world. To achieve this success Attila studied the Romans in almost all aspects of life. Attila also gained an absurd amount of loot and treasurers. He managed to unite most of the Hun kingdoms into an empire. He threatened the East and West Roman empires. Attila managed to make a poor, disorganized, and headstrong group of tribes fight together as one army. Attila managed to bring the Hun eco up from stealing and trading to a sophisticated and large business. The ideas he adapted a vated helped the Huns win battles and maintain one of the largest empires to date. Success opinion would be an accomplishment of achievement in any field.

W HAT DID I LEARN? 

Attila the Hun’s hatred towards Romans was drivenby how the Romans thought they were superiorto all other people.

The Huns got all their supplies andequipment by either stealing it or trading it.

The Huns alliesincluded many different barbarian tribes. Also, they were allies with the Romans at times.

The Hunnish language developed like all other languages.

Attila choked on his own blood and died.

Hunleaders paid their warriors in booty (loot) to ensure loyalty.

The Huns did not live in grand cities like the Romans, they lived in simple villages. http://www.badassoftheweek.com/attila.html

If somebody important died, Huns would slash their faces with knives and rub the dead mans blood over their face and hands.

G IST ARTICLE Page 26 -28 Around 400 A.D. Attila was exchanged to the Romans as political hostage by a treaty between 2 parties, the Huns and Romans. Attila was treated well but he stubbornly refused to be Romanized . He studied the weaknesses of the West Roman Empire. He would later use this knowledge to destroy them. http://cooperaelectronicportfolio.weebly.com/the -fall-of -the-roman-empire.html

BIAS SECTION http://www.ancient.eu/Attila_the_Hun/ This article is bias towards Attila the Hun because it includes words like significant, ability, vast, brilliant, effective, strength, accomplishments, successful, powerful, invincible, intense, and formidable. This article talks about the biography of Attila. The bias towards Attila shows him to be a brilliant leader. It also shows that he made significant accomplishments for his empire. I agree with this bias because I believe that Attila the Huns accomplishments were great and benefitted the Huns. Also, historical evidence shows Attila to be a good ruler and this bias to be right. Popular belief and myths show Attila to be cruel and a murderer. Which is only half true. Attila has killed many but for gains for his empire. Attila in reality was a good ruler who was one of the biggest factorshttp://natm.wikia.com/wiki/Attila_the_Hun in the fall of Rome.
