In Southwest Louisiana, music is everywhere! Whether you prefer a quiet lounge and soft beats, or flashy lights and big crowds, the music venues are as diverse as the types of artists that perform there!

With multiple influences of Zydeco, Cajun, jazz and more, the music in Southwest Louisiana is a unique cultural blend that will keep you coming back for more! Below are some of our favorite music venues in the area, but keep in mind that this is only a sampling of what we have to offer. It’s no gamble when it comes to finding live music at our casino resort properties! Gator Lounge at Delta Downs provides a regular schedule of free entertainment from the best local and regional acts. In Lake Charles, you can jump-start your night with a hand-crafted cocktail and live music at the L Bar, located in the lobby at L’Auberge Casino Resort. Next door, you can hear an eclectic mix of bands at Golden Nugget’s Blue Martini and Rush Lounge.

Rikenjak's Outdoor Patio

Rikenjaks’ spacious patio fills up on Sundays for their Zydeco Brunch, or jazzy evenings but then again, any day is a good day for chilling with your friends, family, and pets at this sweet spot. Or, located in the heart of downtown Lake Charles, you’ll hear the smooth sounds of jazz coming from the patio at Luna Bar & Grill during their Sunday brunch.

Loggerheads is a great place to unwind after a long day, with sweeping views of the Calcasieu River. Or, play a few rounds of washers or cornhole with your friends in the beer garden at Crying Eagle Brewing Company – they always have a fantastic line-up!

South of town, you’ll find what’s affectionately called “The Backyard,” Paul's Rib Shack Barbecue, adorned with beautiful oak trees, twinkling lights, and the lingering aroma of smoked meat. Owner and BBQ master, Paul Pettefer, will make sure you leave with a full belly and feeling like family.
