May 4 & June 1 Chicken Dinner

5-7 p.m., American Legion Post 624. The Legion in Sunrise Beach serves their famous chicken wing dinner each month. Cost is $12-four piece dinner; $6-two piece dinner and $2-single wing. Mashed potatoes, gravy, and vegetables included. Nonsmoking bar and seating available. 573-374-6091

May 5-8 Street Meet

Daily, Bagnell Dam Strip. The 34th annual Magic Dragon Street Meet Car Show will feature up to 1,000 participants showcasing their vehicles in a variety of classes. Thursday is participant registration at Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Show hours are Friday 12-5 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Awards are presented at 1 p.m. Sunday on the main stage. www.magicdragoncarshow.com

May 7 Harbor Hop

All day, lakefront venues. The annual Harbor Hop will be held at more than 40 participating waterfront bars, restaurants and marinas. Draw a card at each stop to make a poker hand. A variety of prizes are awarded. Hands must be turned in by 7 p.m. www.funlake.com/harborhop

May 7 Fun Run/Walk

8 a.m., Lake Regional Hospital parking lot. The 13th annual Fun Run/Walk will benefit the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department this year. Check-in begins at 7 a.m. in the parking lot with the run starting at 8 a.m. Cost is $30. Medals will be awarded in various age groups. May 21 Trivia Night

A trivia night will be held at the Camden County Historical Society at 7 p.m. Cost is $10. www.camdencountymuseum.org Water Safety Event

The Lake of the Ozarks Water Safety Council will host the 4th annual Water Safety Seminar from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Margaritaville Lake Resort. June 2-4 Lake Race

International Offshore Power Boat Racing returns to Lake of the Ozarks for several days of racing. On Thursday a silent auction will be held. Friday is the Lake Race Street Party and Saturday is race day. The course begins at Neon Taco at Bagnell Dam and circles around near the 4-mile marker. www.lakerace.com June 2-5 Swap Meet

7 a.m.-10 p.m., Jacob’s Cave. Jacob’s Cave Summer Swapping Days will be held. Missouri’s largest swap meet will have antiques, guns, crafts, small animals, and other items for sale spread out over 900 vendor spaces. Cost is $10/carload to enter. Casino Benefit

3-6 p.m., Jolly Rogers. The Treasure Island Casino Benefit for Wonderland Camp will be held offering a fun night of games and entertainment. Tickets are $40 in advance or $50 at the door and includes an appetizer bar, two drink tickets and $100 in chips to play. Table sponsorships available. 7 p.m. Thursday & Friday, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Sunrise Beach Community Center. The Sunrise Beach Little Theatre will present a dessert theater production of “Curtain Up.” Admission is $20 for the play which includes dessert, coffee or tea. Audience members are welcome to BYOB, with doors opening Thursday and Friday at 6 p.m. and the play at 7 p.m. Doors open at 1 p.m. Sunday with play starting at 2 p.m. Seating will be at dining tables. 573-836-0934

The 34th annual Magic Dagon Street Meet Nationals will be held in May. Up to 1,000 vehicles show up to participate representing all makes, models and years of cars, trucks and motorcycles.

An attempt to break record for World’s Largest Boat Parade was held last summer at Lake of the Ozarks. Organizers have changed a few details and are ready to give it another try. Register your boat to participate!

June 3 & 4 Dinner Theater

June 11 Boat Parade

A second attempt to make the Guinness Book of World Records for Largest Boat Parade will be held. The parade begins at 11 a.m. on the Grand Glaize Arm. Boats must register to participate. 11:55 p.m., Osage National Golf Course. The LOTO Endurance Midnight Marathon and 6-Hour Endurance Run will be held overnight. Starting at 11:55 p.m. Saturday racers have six hours to finish a full marathon by completing six loops around the golf course. June 18 History Camp

10 a.m.-4 p.m., Camden County Museum. A history camp for children ages 9-15 will be offered. The session will cover from the time of the Native Americans to post-Civil War circa 1870. Another session will be held July 16 covering from postwar reconstruction to present day. Children are asked to bring a sack lunch. Games, crafts, demonstrations and speakers are included in the program. www.camdencountymuseum.org June 25 Swap Meet
