15 • Camden County Republican Club’s February meeting will feature State Senate District 16 candidate Scott Riedel and Camdenton RIII School Board candidates Matt Burns, Jacob Neusche, John Seward and Eric Walters. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Community Christian Church, 1064 N Business Route 5, Camdenton. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. You do not need to be a member to attend. 15, & 25 • Lake Arts Council has announced that the Junior Duck Stamp display will begin Feb. 15 at the Osage Beach Public Library. The Ducks will make their way through the community over a 5½ week period, giving ample opportunity to be viewed by the public. They will be on display at the Osage Beach Public Library until Feb. 25. Then they will move on to the Camdenton Public Library until March 7. They will make their rounds to the Versailles Public Library and the Eldon Library in March.

17 • The Lake Area Federation of Democrats Board has announced that Jon Karlen, candidate for Missouri’s 3rd Congressional District, will be guest speaker at a program at Seven Springs Winer, 846 Winery Hills Estate, Linn Creek. 24 • Lake of the Ozarks Woodcarving Club will conduct a beginners and intermediate woodcarving class at the Lake Career Technical Center in Camdenton. The classes will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will run for six weeks. The class will cost $40 and includes the wood blank and loan of the tools needed. 25 & 26 • The Camdenton Area Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Home, Business and Lake Living EXPO at The Regalia Hotel & Conference Center featuring vendors offering personal and business services. 26 • Polar Plunge will be held at Lake of the Ozarks State Park, Grand Glaize Beach. The Plunge starts at 2 p.m. with the Parade of Costumes happening beforehand. 12 • Docent Training will be held from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Camden County Museum in Linn Creek. Training for all docents and volunteers connected with the Historical Society will be held. Led by experienced volunteers who will explain the history of the Society, Museum building, and area. Topics to be covered include (but not limited to) the make-up of the organization, daily procedures, special events, opportunities and responsibilities. 12 • The 31st annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on the Water will be held starting at Captain Ron’s. Decorate your boat and join in or get a ticket on board the Celebration for $40 before Feb. 15 or $55 after. The Blessing of the Fleet is at 9:30 a.m. with takeoff at 10 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for best costume/ decorated boat.
