Where the fish are

The lake level was 658.2, generation of 6,000 cubic feet per second (CFS) down to 4,500 CFS throughout the week for a level of 658.1 by the weekend. Surface temperature at Bagnell Dam was 78 degrees. Truman Lake was at 705.0 level.

Tournament Results: Jim Morrison won the Fall Big Bass Bash with a 7.11pound largemouth bass.

bagnell Dam spillway/osage River

Water clarity: Clear. White bass: Good on small swimbaits and Whopper Ploppers.

lower osage

Water clarity: Clear. Black bass: Fair on topwater lures, jigs and shaky head worms along main lake wave breaks and docks in coves. Crappie: Fair on minnows or shooting jigs under main lake docks 10 to 20 feet deep.

Gravois

Water clarity: Clear. Black bass: Fair on topwater lures and Texas-rigged soft plastics in the shallows and deep on the main lake and in coves. Crappie: Good on jigs and minnows under docks for fish suspended 6 to 12 feet deep. White bass: Good on topwater poppers in the backs of creeks. Catfish: Good drifting skipjack herring in the creeks.

Mid-lake

Water clarity: Stained. Black bass: Fair on shaky head worms and crankbaits along main and secondary points. Crappie: Good on jigs and minnows 18 to 22 feet deep around docks and brush piles.

Grand Glaize

Water clarity: Stained. Black bass: Good on topwater lures and jigs around shad schools halfway back in coves. Crappie: Good on jigs and minnows 6 to 8 feet deep around docks and brush piles.

niangua

Water clarity: Stained. Black bass: Slow on shaky head worms and topwater lures around brush piles and rocky banks. Crappie: Fair on jigs and minnows around docks with brush. Catfish: Fair drifting or jug lining with shad sides or prepared baits.

upper osage

Water clarity: Clear. Black bass: Good on buzz baits around docks. Crappie: Good on minnows 6 to 7 feet deep around docks. White bass: Fair on Rat-L-Traps around shad schools in the backs of coves. Catfish: Excellent on cut shad tight-lining off docks.

Truman Dam spillway

Water clarity: Stained. Crappie: Slow on minnows in the dead-water channel. Catfish: Slow on worms, shrimp and fresh shad.
