EVENT ADVANCE Eagle Days

See Eagles and other birds of prey during the annual Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days held January 8. Programs will be held at the Regalia Hotel & Conference Center and Osage National Golf Resort.

Dickerson Park Zoo will present two shows at the Regalia Hotel & Conference Center. The world Bird Sanctuary will present a live Eagle program at Osage National Golf Resort. Go online for the full schedule.

Another spot to see Eagles in their natural habitat is down at the Osage River Access, below Bagnell Dam. Bring binoculars and bundle up.

Anyone ages 13 and over can enter the amateur photo contest. To enter send 5x7 copies of your photograph of an Eagle(s) in the wild (2 copies of the same photo) to Eagle Days c/o Lake of the Ozarks CVB, PO Box 1498, Osage Beach, MO 65065. Entries must be received no later than Jan. 8. Prizes will be awarded for the Grand Prize, 1st and 2nd place winners of different denominations of dining gift cards to local eateries.

Kids ages 12 and under can enter the coloring contest. The images are available for download online along with instructions. One winner will be chosen from each age group and will awarded a Bridal Cave Family Pass (good for two adults and two children).
