Challenge yourself to speak up. Women have too much knowledge, insight, and experience not to share it with others.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE THE YOUNGER YOU?

Pause, ponder, and pump your brakes! Recognize that leadership is an action, not a role. Use your experience to empower others and create a positive environment.

WHAT DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR MOM?

It’s okay to be uncomfortable. e more uncomfortable you are, the more prepared you tend to be. She also taught me to always treat others with respect because your respect should never be taken for granted.

WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU HOPE YOUR CHILDREN LEARN FROM YOU?

Be a mentor. It’s our responsibility to keep the door open so that our future generation of leaders can open it. I also hope that they will learn to make small talk with anyone, no matter what age they are.

WHAT ADVENTURE CHANGED YOUR LIFE?

Traveling! I’ve been to Ohio and Tennessee. A 3k race and obstacle course also had a huge impact on me. I was able to network and share stories with the other participants about the importance of being a champion for change and helping to make a di erence in the lives of others. w
