In this one day glass fusing workshop, you will learn how to make your own pendants and earrings! Glass technology, equipment and resources will be covered. While the glass fires in the kiln, learn how to make sterling silver ear wires for your earrings. Ernie Pyle, a roving reporter and war correspondent with the Scripps‐Howard chain of newspapers, wrote of the average enlisted man in a folksy style that personalized the war for millions of Americans. When Pyle was killed by Japanese fire on April 18, 1945, the U.S. government ordered the immediate destruction of a photograph of Pyle’s body, fearing that the image would shatter American morale on the home front. The Wright Museum's collection includes one of the three known original prints of this rare photograph.Admission to the event is $5 and free for Wright Museum members. Seating is limited and RSVPs are encouraged by calling 569‐1212. The Wright Museum is located at 77 Center Street in Wolfeboro. An accomplished poet and pianist, Oni Buchanan is the author of Spring, selected by Mark Doty for the 2007 National Poetry Series. Her first poetry book, What Animal, was selected by Fanny Howe as a winner of the University of Georgia Press Contemporary Poetry Series competition and published in 2003. Oni received the Stanley P. Young Fellowship in Poetry from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, and was one of the Poetry Society of America’s New American Poets of 2005.
