Lakes
Region
Symphony
Orchestra
(LRSO),
now
in
its
34th
season,
is
pleased
to
announce
its
First
Annual
 Concerto
Competition
for
young
artists,
proudly
sponsored
by
Laconia
Harley‐
Davidson.
The
competition
is
open
to
high
 school
students
in
grades
9‐11,
and
any
student
that
plays
a
standard
orchestral
instrument
(percussion
excepted).
Interested
 students
will
first
submit
an
application,
and
later
prepare
a
recording
of
a
“fast
movement”
of
a
standard
orchestral
concerto.

talents

Aspiring

musicians
communicate
their
musical
creativity

live
audience

peers,
and
mingle
and
chat
with
musical
professionals
including
performers,
writers,
teachers,
presenters
and
producers.

first
hour

set
up

four,
15‐minute
music
sets
by
individuals
or
groups
who
have
material
ready
to
present.
The
 remainder
of
the
evening
will
be
an
open
mic
forum.
Sound
equipment
will
be
provided,
but
those
who
wish
to
perform
should
 count
on
bringing
their
own
musical
instruments.

as
a
performer
or
as
a
supportive
audience
