ABOUT My love for art and design started when I was a kid. This led me to start my career in design field. My first exposure toward design was through Architeture and advanced to do masters in Industrial design. As a designer, I love to work and strive to make a change as well as impact in the user’s experience.

RAYD(E)ANCE

Is a Lotus flower inspired CHANDELIER designed to mimic various cultures around the world. The petals arround them allows the light rays pass through the patterns imprinted on the petals as


Project Beirf To design a Luxury Chandiler, using wood as primary material. To apply appropriate wood working techniques to develop and visualize concepts and ideas in both two and three dimensions.

Concept Inspiration we are goup of 5 students consists of a globally diverse community of students. Despite this diversity, the team discovered that, due to language and culture barriers and lack of viable opportunitiesto explore other cultures.

Lotus is

a holly symbol for several religions and cultures. The lotus flower is mainly considered as a symbol of rebirth since it rises from darkness and turns into a beautiful flower. The lotus is also thought of as a symbol of human consciousness on the path to spiritual enlightenment.


Ideation

Design inspiration from dance forms in different cultures. The petals of a lotus are arranged in concentric layers. This gradual opening in stages has been used as a metaphor to describe how we attain higher levels of self-realization and consciousness as we progress spiritually.

Seed is a toy that increase baby’s desire to learn to walk. It also transforms to improve baby’s developmentat multiple stages.

Future innovations Most dishwasher innovation in the U.S. seems to be focused on eff iciency—systems that require less water and less electricity,but are still able to actually clean dishes.

Self-Cleaning Plate May Mean You’ll Never Have To Do The Dishes Slobby housemates rejoice! A special liquid-resistant coating makes cleaning up after your self as easy as dumping your leftovers Notes Though the overall customer satisfaction was negative the product is a good leaping point fo future innovation for easy cleaning. The liquid resistant coating could be applied on the interior walls of the dishwasher in order to avoid the food stains on the wall surfaces.

Developed Concepts

The web structure allows the dishes to face the water jets ditectly, which means the users don’t have to scrape food off of the dishes before loading

However I found the design occupied too much space. I spent time ideating further inorder to solve the excess space problem.

Inorder to save space, I endedup changing the horizontal arrangement to vertical one.


Mockups

After building the prototype, I found the design could handle very few dishes / cycle.

To further my design process I prototyped alternate methods of arrangeng dishes.


Select the load type using the controls

To clean QUICK WASH unscrew the cover, easily take apart the racks and rinse out the mesh.


The users don’t have to scrape food off of the dishes before loading. Because the dishes are now facing the jets it made sense to keep the racks at 45 degree angle.

The combinations of the research and prototyping, QUICK WASH is a beautiful and intelligent system for solving the problem that college students face when cleaning the dishes

After the dinner they are placing the used dishes in the sink.

The Anti-Gem detection pod attached to the sink detcets the dirt on the dishes placed in the sink. and indicate Quick wash.

Quick wash signals the user to place the dirty dishes in to the washer.

This way kelsey have control over the sink getting dirty and over loaded.
