rest stop in a one-street town phases : Project studies Tender documents Follow-up construction site years : 2017 to 2021 budget : 890 000 € surface : 1,1 ha location : Franey / France client : commune of Avoudrey The public spaces project offers the opportunity to give back to pedestrians a place that was previously lost. Reducing the width of the main road, changing the nature of the ground and revaluing the small patrimony allows the inhabitants to re-appropriate the landscape of their commune. Around the wash-house, the church and the new town hall, the project develops a series of peaceful, accessible and habitable spaces. The soils are made permeable to reduce the rainwater load of the networks. The neighbouring town is connected by a new cycle route. The village rediscovers the monuments that constitute its identity and allows its inhabitants to pass through it again in peace.

It is characterized by its narrow streets, old stones and the presence of water. This project is the 7th phases of the urban development plan. It is located on the outside of the centre and at the junction of the river. A network of streets organises pedestrian traffic around the buildings and the water system. The project aims to enhance this network and to create events and meeting places within the village. A wooden footbridge ensures pedestrian continuity between the two banks and offers a view of the canals. Further on, a terrace and a wooden bench offer the inhabitants a stopover on the landscape of the river and the wash-house.

main road in mountain village phases : Project studies Tender documents years : 2017 to ... budget : 620 000 € surface : 2 ha location : Avoudrey / France client : commune of Avoudrey
Avoudrey is a mid-mountain village. The harsh climate and agricultural activities have shaped its urban form: large public spaces to be used to pile up manure in summer and snow in winter. Today these spaces are mainly monopolised by the use of vehicles: the roads are oversized as well as the car parks which extend right up to the windows of the houses. The aim of the project is to reduce the space and speed of vehicles in order to create a safe and peaceful atmosphere in the centre of the village. To achieve this, the roadway is kept to a minimal size and the rest of the space is given over to pedestrian use. Large areas have been made permeable and planted, particularly near the school where an educational orchard has been set up.

market plaza close to Ornain’s river phases : Project studies Tender documents Follow-up construction site years : 2015 to 2020 budget : 1;35 M € surface : 6000 m2 location : Bar-le-Duc / France client : commune of Bar-le-Duc The project takes place on a former urban block whose functioning was no longer satisfactory. The covered market has been repositioned to create a better relationship with its environment. The complex operation of conserving part of the building structure and the underground car park results in a large hall open to the city. The landscape project results in a large square to the east, a link to the riverbank project to the south, the transformation of rue Dufour to the north into a shared road and finally the restructuring of the car park to the west into a hybrid space allowing the doubling of the capacity of the stands during outdoor markets. The new market plaza is now part of the heart of the city.

community spaces for removable housings phases : Project studies project and community participation years : 2017 to 2020 budget : 890 000 € surface : 2000 m2 location : Stains / France client : Les enfants du canal Le Mesnil is a temporary housing project initiated by the association Les Enfants du Canal. This project enables the integration of families living in shanty towns. It is therefore a unique programme, which aims above all to be a vector of hope, integration and well-being. Located in the heart of a community garden of the commune of Stains, the project has the ambition of being reversible. Particular care is therefore taken to ensure that the facilities are in harmony with the ground. The architecture is detached from the ground by a system of piles. The landscape project allows the ground to breathe with the help of reused paving stones. This project unfolds vertically with various and varied furniture elements, allowing to respond to the situations of daily life: sitting, cooking, collecting, gardening, playing, ...

The sustainable district of Les Vaîtes is a town area builted in accordance with its context. At the foot of the Bicquey hill, François Grether’s urban planning densifies the western side of the valley and preserves the opposite side. The landscape project explores the possible extensions of the hillside landscape towards the built-up side. The traffic lanes are rediuced to create wide planted strips and pedestrian areas. The the roads are designed to be shared between the different users. The two sides are linked by the valley park. It becomes the junction between the densified habitat and the landscape of gardens, orchards, hillside and woods. This public park is the receptacle for the neighbourhood’s rainwater, which it purifies and regulates before returning to the Doubs river. It is also the location of the vegetable gardens, the new educational farm, replanted orchards and naturally managed areas. Credits : Sedia 25

boat jetty and waterfront in flooded area phases : Project studies community participation years : 2017 to 1019 budget : 2 M surface : 2 ha location : Ganvié / Bénin client : ANPT
The Abomey-Calavi jetty project is part of the plan to safeguard the lacustrian city of Ganvié, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Beninese government is simultaneously carrying out actions in the fields of landscape, architecture, infrastructure, ecology, economy and waste management in order to conserve and promote this city built on the waters of Lake Nokoué. The jetty is a multimodal hub that connects the land to the lacustrian city. It concentrates many functions and uses: fish market, craft market, boat taxis, petrol smugglers, tourists and pirogue guides. A work of mediation and consultation with all the actors was necessary in order to identify the main issues of flows, managements and needs. The project aims to prioritize these functions while restoring space to the natural environment. The jetty is intended to be the gateway to the lake, a place of great bio-diversity. Local materials and processes are used in the construction: wood, straw and earth. Observatories and pontoons are installed to observe the birdlife in the newly replanted mangrove.

The creation of Atelier Adventis was born out of a desire to practice landscape architecture in a more intimit way. When public spaces are built, the argument is often brought up that the living environment should be improved... but for who? Who are the people who pass through, live in and experience these spaces? Do these places meet the expectations of our changing society? From there, I wanted to experiment with the landscape - in its broadest sense - as a vector and creator of social links. The projects become times and places for constructive, social and artistic experimentation. The transmission, sharing and making-together structure the project methods, often oriented towards ecological awareness as well as landscape and architectural quality.

garden festival phases : Project studies Construction site years : 2017 to 2021 budget : 5000 € each surface : 1000 m2 each location : France / Bosnia / Switzerland
I discovered the world of garden festivals during my internship at the Saline d’Arc-et-Senans. This UNESCO site organises an annual event with a theme where 12 gardens are designed and created by students. This allowed me to propose and create 3 gardens: the world of Orbea, the Mediterranean garden and the Tintin garden.
Orbae garden - Edition 2016 Garden festival of Royal Saline
I particularly appreciate this scale of project where you can do all the stages yourself: from conception to construction. Fine work on the artistic and botanical aspects is expected. The atmosphere and the plant palette are very important in the design. This led me to participate in other festivals: Les jardins de Stolac (Bosnia), Lausanne Jardin (Switzerland), Evologia (Switzerland) and Les Jardins de la côte d’Azur (France) Mediterranean garden - Edition 2016 Garden festival of Royal Saline

Vitry-le-François’s urban coherence phases : Landscape diploma Diagnostic studies Project studies years : 2015 budget : / surface : 15 ha location : Vitry-le-François France I chose to do my landscape diploma project on the urban coherence of Vitry-le-François. This town was completely destroyed and rebuilt after WW2. It is situated on the border of several landscapes: the dry Champagne, the wet Champagne and the Saulx valley. Due to its position, it has become an inter-modal crossroads: Vitry airport, TGV, national roads, 3 canals (to the Marne, to the Rhone and to the Rhine). During its reconstruction, the city closed in on itself, forgetting its relationship with its landscape. The project proposes to reopen the public spaces to the hydrographic system in order to create a network of places for walking, relaxation and development of its river heritage (Lac du Der, Port du Givet, fishing ...). For this purpose, the railway wasteland is being reinvested and the in-modal hub of the station and the town centre are being connected to the canal by the creation of a large park.
