VIKING FEST

Our table at Viking Fest where members sign up

VikingFest is the event of the school year for membership because that's when we get everyone to sign up for the club. Unfortunately, our numbers have been dwindling for the past couple of years, and despite our efforts to recruit this year, our numbers were about twenty lower than from the reported 2018-2019 Key Club year. While we face the problem of decreasing membership, we have been blessed with more increased involvement from the members that do join. We look forward to having more people join though, as our last opportunity to join for the year is the general October meeting.

Our volunteers arrived around 8:45 and were assigned to different spots at different booths. Some made crafts, some did tattoos, some did the corn hole toss, and others introduced children to how amazing water can be. Many of our volunteers surprised us that day because the volunteering event was announced on very short notice, even before our first meeting. So it was such an exhilaration that so many of us came, and the Festival was such really a wonder to serve at the community and bring joy to it. Additionally, we got to connect with Summit Prep's Key Club.
