His bouncy delivery instantly captivates on the chorus as he sings, “I’m never ever ever gonna let you go...and then there was you.”

About the song, Calum said, “‘Then There Was You’ is a story about finding that someone who just comes along and changes everything; who suddenly takes you from never feeling loved to bursting with happiness and dreams for the future! I was with some of my favourite writers when we got in a room, wanted to have some fun and not think too hard! It can be challenging to write love songs without being cheesy but this one came so organically and was born out of pure joy! This will be my first song included in a film soundtrack too which makes me very proud and excited!” The song was co-written and produced by multiplatinum, GRAMMY® nominated writer/producer Michael Hodges. Hodges added, “It was the perfect fit for this soundtrack and an unexpected twist for ‘Garfield’. No one every really talks about the love Garfield has for John and this song highlights it in such a beautiful way. Once I heard the idea, I just couldn’t let it go”.

Last month, the Soundtrack’s first original single—Keith Urban and Snoop Dogg’s “Let It Roll” was released to praise from Taste of Country and more, Variety applauded how “Snoop Dogg and Keith Urban are not as odd a couple as it might seem at first,” going on to profess, “he and Urban are going big.”
