BIG DAY >>>

So tell us how you met, were you single for a long time before you started dating?

Chris - I went for a drink after work on the final of Trudy’s Drag Race, 2019. A pretty, tall, tan fella was doing the spotlight and kept staring. I thought, what is his problem? Turns out he was checking me out. We met a few times that week and by the Sunday I told him I was taking him out for dinner & margaritas - now we’re married.

How long after you started dating did it take to pop the question, was it an immediate yes ? And who asked who?

We spent a lot of time together over lockdown, we bought our first house in 2021 and renovated it. We love music and the gameshow “The Hit List.” Appearing on a gameshow was on Sean’s bucket list so we applied for laugh. We won 7k!

When we were leaving the studio I looked at Sean and I got a feeling of “I’m gonna marry this man.” We organised a viewing party for our friends & family. Sean had no idea it was actually an engagement party. Sean said yes, cried and then we drank Prosecco. Lots of Prosecco.

Tell us about your BIG DAY , location, amount of guests etc.

We’re both Belfast born & bred and love our City. Before planning our main theme was “A big gay Belfast Wedding”. We visited all the wedding fairs and quickly realised we could go down the venue hire route, and put our own stamp on the wedding.

We got ready in our house and got a black taxi to City Hall. We met 20 of our immediate family and said I do in City Hall. It was beautiful and how much more Belfast can you get!

Afterward sit was a short walk to Cafe Parisien for lunch and cocktails. Service was excellent, they made us feel so special

After some photos around the City, we headed to our party at 6pm in the Ulster Museum. All Chris wanted was a light up dance floor and a disco Ball. Sean organised the rest.

As a special surprise for our 150 guests at the evening party, we had a videographer (Instagram: @emmaheatherfilms) with us from City Hall to follow us and create a recap video of the ceremony. She had a 4 hour turnaround (and thought it was an insane idea!) to have it ready and in sync to Madonna’s ‘Cherish’, but she did an incredible job and everyone was in tears, and was such a great way to kick off the night!
