THE BIG DAY // DYLAN & SAM

SO TELL US HOW YOU MET, WERE YOU SINGLE FOR A LONG TIME BEFORE YOU STARTED DATING ?

DYLAN We met in Stockholm airport (as strangers) while I was travelling to Hong Kong, We sat in the airport lounge and chatted for about two hours till I had to board my flight.... My name was called throughout the airport.... last call for mr Dylan koh.

Sam I was travelling home to Vietnam and remember seeing Dylan at the airport lounge though I can’t even remember what started off the conversation, what I always remember is that he just made me laugh.

HOW LONG AFTER YOU STARTED DATING DID IT TAKE TO POP THE QUESTION, WAS IT AN IMMEDIATE YES?

DYLAN AND SAM June 2019 Dylan had flew to Vietnam and during the Bangkok trip was the time we talked about our future and marriage and

we both agreed It was the best thing to do due to how we felt for one another. we were completely in love and inseparable.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR BIG DAY, LOCATION, AMOUNT OF GUESTS ETC

Dylan Our big day was to most amazing day ever, I was so emotional throughout and so so so happy. The wedding day was organised by my dearest friends Janet Wong and Ashlene Hegarty, we got married at belfast City hall and the reception was held at the titanic hotel. It was such a beautiful hotel and the decor was beautiful, they chose that hotel and thought it was just our style.

The hotel wedding package was beautiful and the staff were kind and helpful throughout.

We did have a small wedding of about 60 guest and they are my nearest and dearest.

SAM because i am from Vietnam and didn’t know much of belfast, I did rely on Dylan’s friends to organise the whole day and I was overwhelmed with the whole experience, I felt complete. John at Epic Journal Photography took the time to organise photos between times at the hotel. before the wedding we had spent the whole day with John along the north coast For photos. We had wanted 2 large A1 prints at the front of their reception for guests to see. John worked with titanic hotel to organise the reception area with these photos and guest book.

I had heard all about the titanic and the film and only learnt that I wasn’t just at the hotel named after the titanic but I was standing on the grounds of were titanic was built.

WHAT ABOUT THE FOOD AND DRINK?

The food and drink was lovely Serving a three course meal. They served seafood ballotine, duck or mushroom soup for starters, for mains it was a choice from beef, turkey, salmon or butternut squash and for desserts, it was either cheesecake or apple

DID YOU HAVE A HONEYMOON OR ARE YOU PLANNING ONE

Dylan We were both well travelled Before meeting each other and since meeting, We’ve spent a lot of time in the Far East in 2019 before getting married. When people asked where we were going to for the honeymoon, I said Scotland and they were lost for words thinking it would’ve been somewhere exotic..

Sam I always wanted to travel around Ireland and Dylan had planned Northern Ireland and Scotland for their honeymoon. We had the best time ever from the very early morning start, boat to Scotland and road trip to Edinburgh and Glasgow...it didn’t stop there, I had the best time ever staying at Glagom spa, Killyhevlin Hotel, Donard Hotel, and the Maldron Hotel.

I love Northern Ireland, It’s so GREEN!

ARE YOU INTO THE SAME THINGS? WHAT INTERESTS DO YOU HAVE THAT ARE DIFFERENT ?

We share the same loves in life from food to travelling and can’t think of a way we have any differences.

Sam I love spending time with Dylan and can’t think of anytime that we disagree or share any difference, yes there is one thing! Sam love his sleep.
