A 501(c)3 California corporation founded in 1948, PSHA is an all-volunteer organization, whose members donate their time and talents to present three annual music programs, administer gifts and grants to other nonprofit organizations that provide music programs, and accomplish the formidable feat of producing the Pasadena Showcase House of Design as their annual fundraiser.

PPSHA supports a diverse group of arts programs: musical theater, orchestra, jazz ensembles, marching bands and choral groups at local schools, music therapy for at-risk children, funding concerts to ensure that live music is available to a broad range of audiences, and much more. These programs provide opportunities for a variety of groups, from students to seniors, to learn, enjoy, and grown from their experiences. Additionally, PSHA has a longstanding history of sponsoring the Los Angeles Philharmonic and its community outreach programs.
