Grand Entry & Upstairs Gallery

The Grand Entry, including a beautiful staircase, is the first thing visitors see when they arrive. These areas were brightened and modernized to reflect a timeless style, as well as the taste of a contemporary owner with an appreciation for art of all media. The large foyer accesses all areas of the home and was designed to flow elegantly into each space.

The staircase leads to the jewel of the home: the original stained glass windows that were recently restored to their original glory. We treated this entire area, including the second floor Upstairs Gallery, with a modern and neutral palette of black, white, and gold to showcase the artistry of the windows.

A bold, black lacquered table and statement lighting welcome visitors. Brightening the area was key, and we used nearly a dozen light fixtures. Custom seating encourages you to stay a while and enjoy the space. Original art was brought in, as if to show off a cherished collection, and luxurious fabrics were used judiciously to soften the space.
