Powder Room

The design of the Powder Room was heavily influenced by the historical nature and character of this 1905 Tudor home. Situated in a Greene and Greene-designed neighborhood, I felt compelled to embrace the Arts and Crafts movement by rejecting mass production and having each piece stand out as a work of art. One-of-a-kind pieces enrich the space: the custom vanity and mirror are embellished with extended box joints and mortise and tenon joinery along with blown glass sconces and a hand-painted ceiling. Adorning the masculine walls of Tudor style is a 1904 Vanity Fair cover of Marie Curie, which secures the space with femininity along with the floor and ceiling. Sukeena Homes Gwen Sukeena
