The meaning of Nuura is light and honour. —

Recent research shows that light has a major impact on our well-being. Light not only affects our mood, workability and circadian rhythm. It also affects our heart rate and body temperature. That is why it is important to have good lighting in the workplace and at home.

With a long and distinguished career in the field of lighting and a fascination for chandeliers, internationally renowned lighting designer Paolo Rizzatto made the Rizzatto collection with inspiration from Oskar Schlemmer’s ‘Triadischen Ballett’ from 1924. The Rizzatto collection has been designed to last. The light unfolds from its source and diffuses wonderfully through the mouth-blown opal-white glass, creating soft, comfortable quality lighting. —

Paolo Rizzatto was born in Milan in 1941, where he studied for his degree in architecture at Milan Polytechnic in 1965, when he was 24. Rizzatto works as a freelance in the fields of architecture, interiors, design, lighting and teaching. He founded Luceplan together with Riccardo Sarfatti in 1978. He has also designed for Alias, Arteluce, Artemide, Cassina, Danese, Driade, Flos, Kartell, Knoll, Lensvelt, Luceplan, Molteni, Montina, Nemo, Philips, Poltrona Frau, Serralunga and Thonet. H is arch itectu re an d design projects for m par t of per man en t ex h ibition s an d n u merou s mu seums: architectural associations in London, Milano Triennale, Wave Hill Museum Centre in New York, the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

Sofie Refer is an internationally awarded Danish lighting designer and rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition she considers respect for nature and the beauty of simplicity as two of the most valuable qualities in her designs. With esteem for the tradition Sofie likes to challenge the perception and with curiosity and eagerness to explore the riches, generosity and extravagance of environment interprets these into her lighting designs. With inspiration from flowers, Sofie Refer has designed the new chandelier collection, Apiales. The collection consists of two chandeliers with 9 or 18 mouth-blown glass globes and are available in golden Brushed Brass finish or the smooth Satin Black. From a specially-produced canopy, the arms unfold like flower stalks from which light is spread with grace. Suitable for residential homes, restaurants and hotels. —

Beautifully rounded glass lampshades give the Blossi collection a Nordic touch and complete the design. The collection ranges from a chandelier to lamps for the wall, table and floor. LIILA

The Liila collection has a playful approach to light and how wall lighting is typically conceived. Liila is a sculpture for the wall from where it spreads an extravagant atmosphere through its mouth- blown glass. The clear optic glass gives a defined light, creating radiant reflections like the rays of the sun, while the opal white glass provides a soft, diffused light like a Nordic midnight sun. The collection consists of single wall and ceiling lamps and a chandelier for the wall which can be customised. —
