ANOUR Anour is Farsi and means light. It is also the name of a Danish design company established in 2007. With this label, Founder and Architect Arash Nourinejad realized his vision to create a lamp of uncompromising design with visionary functionality, made from the highest quality materials. Anour’s vision is to be perceived as a leading design company that embodies the best traditions of Danish design, but reinvented. While the label stands for the highest level of craftsmanship, continuing in the footsteps of Danish design traditions, each piece is made with a focus on sustainability in design, production and technology. Creating innovative lights that merge tradition with the latest LED technology. A lamp that ages gracefully and only becomes more valued with time.

BRAZIER Anour products are hand-made in Copenhagen by the last surviving traditional braziers. By utilizing local traditional braziers, all Anour products are finished to the highest standards, to reflect superb craftsmanship and quality. A brazier is a craftsman working in traditional fashion with brass, copper and bronze. Anour lamps, manufactured by the most skilled craftsmen, follow the long established tradition of using only these masters trained in the old skills of working metal by hand. Anour’s dedication to the profession is what makes Anour stand out.

ANOUR | COPENHAGEN ARASH NOURINEJAD Most Danish crafts have been made obsolete by modern design production, which I think is truly sad. As we still have a lot to offer through traditional workmanship, I want my designs to focus on traditional skills and improve the life cycle of each product. Most designers focus on sustainability based on mass production techniques and materials. My goal is to design and manufacture products that will last a lifetime. I also believe that the future trend for mankind will be to own less, but for everything to be better quality. Less means more, so to speak. My clientele will largely be companies or persons who want to make just such a statement about the world we live in. Customers who appreciate the finest quality in handmade products. The Avant- garde who dares to invest in products that have a soul, such as mine. It will give me both a sense of joy and pride, combined with a great responsibility, that people are willing to believe in the future by believing in my company. Copenhagen has now become the cultural Metropolis of Scandinavia in so many ways, not dissimilar to what Berlin also represents to Germany. I truly believe the main reason for so many new creative companies emerging of late is down to the prolonged financial crisis. We have been forced to re-evaluate our work and lifestyle by exploring new areas to differentiate ourselves. Find inspiration in Copenhagen where new talents are nourished every day. I have no wish to live anywhere else. Anour aims to be seen as one of the finest design company that embodies the best of Danish design now reinvented.
