Happy Mother’s Day
Eighteen years, we’ve gone through so much, so many adventures, so many experiences I can never forget, you’ve shown me the world, you’ve shown me the right paths, you’ve raised me up to be successful, and now, I am trying my best to continue a legacy you have started with me. This legacy will continue on with my children, your great grandchildren, your whole lineage generations later. I know it’s a struggle right now dealing with my adolescent self, but I can assure you, that I will give back to you as much as you’ve given to me. I will be successful with my endeavors because you have taught me the right ways, and with that said, I will take you on a new journey once I’ve established my life.

You are still a crazy mom, and I don’t want to change any of that. Even through all the times you nag, I know that you just want to keep me safe (but I would assume that you’ll be stalking me in college too). I just want to let you know how much your words taught me to be brave with the world around me. It is still scary going out there with all the dangers of today, but all the times you keep telling me about these things, it becomes a constant reminder for me when I’m out there, and I would never forget your words. I know that you’re still uneasy with the fact that I’m already out and about traveling far away from you from time to time. But just know that you made permanent marks in my mind. You always keep me safe no matter what, even if you’re far away.
College is coming soon, and I know it’s gonna be tough. It will be tough for me too, since I’ll be living away from someone I was with 19 years by that time. You’ve taught me how to be independent, and I will still live by your God-given words and values. The amount of time and love and labor you’ve given to me cannot be repaid, because I can never truly count the amount of blessings I’ve received from you. I am living life to the fullest because of you, and I cannot imagine the amount of times you have sacrificed for me. I unconditionally love you, and I hope to take care of you as soon as I can so that you can enjoy life twice as much as I did when you took care of me. I love you mom, and Happy Mother’s Day.
