In this major requirement Introduction 3 studio we looked at human factor and needs. My targeted occupants are group of young professionals who mainly works at home and in creative work studios, thus need community connectedness, potential inter-disciplinary communication, while maintaining respect of various degree of habitat privacy needs. By creating 90s Town, I aim to bring design solutions to creative field young professional community live-work lifestyle. 90s “Utopian” is used to express the most ideal, comfortable and sustainable living situation, introduce the “community live-work” model as improvement to contemporary metropolitan co-work space.

After studying and visiting the site, the biggest challenges for me is to fit my scattered islands-skybridge prototypes into the long and narrow existing host structure. I thought of connections with neighboring structure, which eventually push the design and lead to the solution of public-co-working and private-live-work. How much can the existing structure compromise and how flexible can the design concept be for the two to marry together and reach the optimal solution?
Preserved Facade
As a planner I have to make multiples decisions on which part to adaptive reuse and keep, as well as which part to get rid of based on the design rules that was set by user and program.

PLAY COOK AND PLANT WITH ME! 2018 Summer Copenhagen, Denmark Academic, Travel A pedegogy proposal based on Danish culture house concept, for kids to learn cooking and nature after school. DIS Study Abroad for American Students with RISD INTAR
Two volumes of 1970 concrete modular building, to be adapted into contemporary play space that host Danish kids for after school cook program in mezzanine floor. First floor should have library, theatre, workshop, cafe, activities food+learning related facilities. Two questions were discussed during my design process: — Danish-connotation: What does Danish culture heritage really means?(food, culture, experience…) — How can it create both a play and learn culture for kids? How can it benefit parent-kids relationships? 18
My final proposal includes: 1 Exchange of interior learn and exterior play 2 Colors in zoning as positive psychology and kids engaging 3 Some kind of mechanism or fixture as symbol way finding, guide kids in from garden and park 4 In door greenery courtyard and small patches of greens, echos and directly connect with outdoor garden at the courtyard?) 5 Playful furniture and fixtures that moves 6 Learning though senses: smell and childhood memory, emotions towards responsible clean lab, workspace, and lots of natural light.
