Family fireworks fun: crafts and stories Create some bonfire night crafts then gather round at 11am for stories with a autumnal feel. Free event for under 12s. No need to book – pop in anytime for the craft-making.

B Lancaster Library

Guided tours of Lancaster Castle Delve into the fascinating history of the castle and dare to be locked up in the dark dungeons!! Tours depart every 30mins.

C Lancaster Castle

Lantern making workshop Lean how to make your very own paper lantern, and then proudly parade it as part of the official fireworks lantern procession. Please book in advance places limited. Free event for children aged 5-9.

D Lancaster City Museum

Lancaster and the Pendle Witches guided walk Building up the 400-year anniversary. Who were the Pendle Witches? Find out on this tour through the ancient streets of Lancaster. Free event. No need to book.

Paying the price for the Gunpowder Plot: The history of Lancaster Cathedral Explore Lancaster's cathedral and learn how the Reformation and the Gunpowder Plot influenced the history of our Roman Catholic community. Admission free.

'Treason and Plot’ Storytelling for bonfire night with Lancashire storyteller Sue Allonby. Every half hour. 'Follow the Rocket' treasure hunt and special bonfire night lucky dip. Free event. (Usual museum charges apply - accompanied kids free).

F Lancaster Maritime Museum

Fire building Experience the thrill of building safe fires, toast marshmallows and make a delicious cup of hot chocolate. Free event. No need to book (Ages 5-12)

Fun fair at Salt Ayre Sports Centre Get into the festival mood with Taylor’s Funfair and enjoy spectacular views of the display from the banks of the River Lune. With hot drinks and refreshments, free parking and a mud-free viewing area, it’s a great place to enjoy the fireworks.

H Salt Ayre Sports Centre

Snap, Crackle & Pop family singing and body percussion workshop Learn to make music with body percussion and ensemble singing. A fun family workshop - no previous experience necessary. £3 adults, £2 children Please book in advance. Suitable for families with children age 10 and above.

Fireworks lantern parade Children from the Lantern making workshops will mark the start of the evening’s firework festivities with a procession to Quay Meadow. Participation in the procession is by advance booking only with Lancaster City Museum. Only children who have booked a place in advance are able to take part.
